The Best is Yet to Be

A woman is as old as she looks before breakfast.

~ Ed Howe

There is always a lot to be thankful for, if you take the time to look. For example, I'm sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt. ~Author Unknown

Listen to me, O house of Jacob,
all you who remain of the house of Israel,
you whom I have upheld since you were conceived,
and have carried since your birth.

Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am he, I am he who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you
.

~ Isaiah 46:3&4 NIV

Off to get some breakfast...

  2. Good morning friend! Thanks for visiting with your always encouraging words. I can always count on that from you. It IS a beautiful Lord's day here, altho a little foggy, but the sun promises to clear it all out later this morning. I have the "crud" this weekend as it's made its rounds thru our family. So I stayed home from church this morning so as not to spread my "joy" around to others.

I appreciate your outrage at my plight, Vee, but we are made of strong stuff. I feel alot better today, and we have talked to others around us and the little grocery store people up the road and everyone is up in arms. We're going to be okay.

I plan to hopefully work in my garden today clearing out weeds. It's supposed to be 65 degrees and clear and I aim to make the most of it (if my headache will cooperate).

Your bible verse this morning means more to me than you know. I relied heavily on it at a trying time in my life when my faith in that promise of God was all I had to hold on to. Thanks for the reminder - it helps in situations like this, too. Blessings to you friend - Vickie

  3. Dear Vee.....

We share a birthday weekend. I'm sure we do. . .

What a wonderful verse to think and ponder on. Oh the joy of knowing that the one who knew us from the first heartbeat, will care for us and sustain us to our last breath.

The picture is so very cute..
I love the quote as well. I sure did make sure I had a good breakfast before posting my birthday picture.
    Have a wonderful day.

  10. I love the dog in the photo but feel terribly sorry for the little boy. How in the world did he get sooo big? I don't think McDonalds can be blamed in this case.
