My Cold Arsenal

Yup, the dreaded common cold strikes again. Ugh. What am I doing with the hydrogen peroxide? *Pouring it in my ears.*

See you on the other side of the scheduled outage...

  1. Vee,
I will pray that you will be better very soon. Stay cozy and warm. I'd better go check on the scheduled outage thing so I'll know if I'll be able to post or not for tomorrow. Rest up and get well soon!

  3. Get better soon, Vee.

I have the biggest array of medication outside a chemist sitting here too. I need a spread sheet to keep comtrol of it all. And did I mention I hate pills?? Sigh. Am now walking on toes to make coffee.

  4. Awwww Vee, I'm so sorry that a nasty cold has stuck!

Your Beloved will be giving you lots of TLC. And please give it to yourself, also. And use whatever remedies you trust. Rest and let your body fight this 'nasty' off.

    Be well soon...

  8. Ahhh...so sorry, Vee! I'm a little wary of the peroxide solution, however...but what do I know? I'm warding off all bugs by taking ColdFX...and I'm sure not to tell my family members who work in the field of medicine, since they believe it to be 'hocus/pocus'.

I'm thinking a good book...some chicken soup...and a wee nap is what you need today.

  11. Have you ever tried one of those "Neti Pots"? It's the latest thing, a sinus wash. There are other brands, but I've got some friends that swear by them. I aim to try it right away, too, cuz my allergies and sinuses are acting up. You might check it out!

  21. ok eww sickest story about peroxide in the ears: My roomie has never cleaned his ears with qtips (i know you aren't supposed to but i still do) he had been complaining that he couldn"t hear anymore and his jaw hurt so i looked inside his ear and all i could see was wax all the way to the outside of his canal. like full of wax. so i tried peroxide and it wouldn't even go past the wax so i bought some wax softener, still didn't work....so after three days of listening to him complain about not having insurance i thought of a plan that might work but i told him it might cause complete hearing loss and he said he couldn't hear as it was so what else could i hurt. so i took a spray bottle and sprayed it directly into his ear a few times and a completely intact piece of wax came out about the size of a mini ear of corn....literally no exaggeration here. he instantly said "I CAN HEAR!!" to which i replied "well i bet you can!" (as i held back the vomit.)
