Downton Abbey Magnet Mosaic~Mosaic Monday

Oh I know it's Academy Award Night. < insert stifled yawn >

I offer you instead an extension of Downton Abbey. And, since my storyline could be considered a spoiler, please do NOT read if you have not had the chance to view Downton Abbey yet.

My daughter-in-law shares my enthusiasm for the show and, knowing how much I enjoy it, she gave me these magnets for my birthday. All I'm going to say is that I've enjoyed them, but they are not going to live on my refrigerator. On the other hand, Matthew and Mary are going to live on the metal tray above the refrigerator. Pretty good digs for magnet people. ☺

Yes, just like Mary, I cut that evil Pamuk out of the picture. Did you see that Thomas and O'Brien are one character?

Please join Mary @ Little Red House for more mosaics.

Are you a Downton Abbey fan as well?

  2. -chuckle- No! I did NOT give you permission to change your Icon. I loved that pic of you! Don't care if it did have the Christmas Tree in the back. -pout-

  3. But yes, your latest Icon, of you as a little girl, is pretty cute too. Certainly better than being-a-pine-cone, like to *threatened,* in my comments. LOL

Nope, have not gotten into Downton Abbey. And I adore Maggie Smith! But nope, have not. Perhaps I am so ready-for-bed by 9PM, that I'd not go for a show, which made me stay alert, till 10PM? -grin-

I can keep reading, till 10pm, but tv ..... Oh what a wild life I lead, hu? ,-)

  5. I guess I must be living underneath a rock because I have no idea what that show is all about or what station it is on. Clueless!

  6. My sister came over last night and we sat and watched the first two episodes of season one, as she hasn't seen any of it. It was fun to watch it again and see all the details I'd missed the first time. The magnets are adorable.

  7. Love the magnets!

I have already been in Downton Abbey withdrawal until I found out the local PBS station is reshowing the Christmas episode tonight.

I don't usually buy a lot of DVDs but these two are definitely going to be a purchase.

  16. My goodness, the things they come up with!!!
I love the show, of course. Why did
they have to put a dead person on the page of magnets though? That's really weird.
I'm getting ready to see what they've come up with for Masterpiece Theatre tonight. I hear new Piorot's are coming soon.
    Can't wait!

  24. What a fun mosaic. I just skimmed over a lot of it since I'm just beginning season two and have already heard enough spoilers.

But what a fun magnet set!

  25. I LOVE Downton Abbey - I am just starting on Season Two episodes that I downloaded onto my Kindle while in the U.S. last month. I brought back the DVD set for Season One and loved every bit of it. Also enjoyed the "extra's" included with the set - such fun to see the actors chatting with each other about their characters.

Sadly I won't get to view the last 3 episodes til May, when once again I am home for a visit in the States.

    big hugs, Sherry

  27. It seems that everyone is talking about Downton Abbey. I haven't seen it. I think I'll need to watch the DVD when they begin to offer the shows in that format.

Love your magnets and the way you've chosen to display them.

  28. Fun magnet set! I have yet to watch but it's on my list to see, everyone has been raving about it.
I loved the Oscars, I thought last night was pretty good, not great but good.

  29. Love Downton Abbey! To bad we have to wait so long to see more. PBS is airing season 2 on their site now, for a limited time.

  30. Happy birthday Vee! What a nice celebration you had and I love all of the goodies you got. You sure have a cute looking family. I had to come back to this post because I too love Downton Abbey? In fact it's my favorite program. I'm sad that the season is over. I have these cutouts to but not sure what I will do with them. I hope you have a good week!
