Lazy Sunday Afternoon~Mosaic Monday

One of us slept; the other read. One of us woke up, baked some cookies, ate some cookies and then padded about with camera in hand taking pictures of the other's ear and odd and sundry things in the yard like pine cones and tassels, oak leaves and acorns, zinnias growing tall, and wild nasturtiums. Is it time for bed yet?

Please have a look at the other Mosaic Monday offerings. They'll be much more interesting than this I promise you. Just go to Little Red House. Mary'll be waiting!

  8. I would have loved to have a nap today Vee after being up in the middle of the night because of a marauding raccoon but alas, duty called for a family birthday.
I baked this morning while my hubby read. Are those reading glasses your good man has around his neck?
Hmm, they're not, or he didn't want a photo with his specs on. :-)

  11. Even the ordinary can be extraordinary!

    Our weekedn went by fast...

We went to visit a nephew and niece-in-law in Maryland and went to the Oriole/Yankee baseball game last night at Cmden Yard in Baltimore--Yankees lost :(

We woke up to a flat tire on our car this AM and had to get it fixed before the 4 hour drive home.

Finally home about an hour ago and I'm ready for bed...lol! I hope to have a more relaxing day tomorrow!

  13. This is so cute, Vee. :) I love the way you softened your borders and grids on the mosaic. I need to learn how to do some things like that -- really pretty!

    Have a wonderful week.

  19. Much more interesting? Not necessarily! I think that a Sunday afternoon nap and a reading of the book of Hosea and cookies and lovely things in our own patch of home sounds pretty interesting! As always, I love your mosaic.

Blessings to you in the new week...

  21. I just love what you do with a camera. How do you get that look? Is it something on line or a separate software?

Of course the real skill is the "camera eye" that you most certainly have.

    Beautiful.

  25. Vee,

I wish I could have had a lazy Sunday. We had heavy duty garden work and a plumbing problem. Although we did get to a book signing by a local author, and I went quilt fabric shopping. Today is a rainy, lazy Monday after the weekend.

  26. Your Sunday sounds similar to ours. It was a very lazy day around here, too, involving naps, reading, and a walk. But didn't you wake up this morning feeling refreshed? I hope so.

  28. Love the imagery of padding about with camera in hand... even ears are a candidate for musing via digital cameras!
