Rainy Weekend~ Not Mosaic Monday

Day Three of Rain here in the Northeast. It has its charms.

For example, yesterday afternoon all the kids came over, big ones and little ones, and my daughter set up the new Atari game that she gave to the family last Christmas. Right. We're just now getting around to trying it. She and her brother loved playing it as kids when they visited their paternal grandparents. Sometimes their dad would rent a machine and some cartridges to play at home. Anyway, it represents fond memories for them so we were all looking forward to it.

The grands had such fun. I had such fun watching them have fun.

~Awwwwww...~

When they grew tired playing video games from the Middle Ages, they played on Auntie's I-phone.

I'm calling this my Monet mosaic. The quality isn't good, but the subjects were too sweet to toss the photos out.

Mary is away this week so I have nowhere to link. I just wanted to share.

A lovely afternoon and evening to you...

  1. Precious, precious, precious entry! Oh so many memories, captured in photos. :-))))

This could make a bunch of rainy days, into-nice. Cozy. Warm. Etc.

But otherwise, these runs of rainy, dark, damp days, are not fun. Unless you are Joyce of "October Farm" blog, who loves this kind of weather!!!! Go Joyce!!!! :-)

Oh and please, I will be sending you an email, from a diff addy. (followbliss200...and old, old, old one...but I can still access it)

Fingers and toes crossed, for some sunshine!!!!

  3. Rainy days with your family sounds pretty cozy and fun to me! Keep in mind, I said YOUR family. Not mine, LOL! I would need medication to endure...

It's too funny to think that Atari is now considered a old game!

  4. Vee, you do create the best mosaics, maybe because your subject matter is always so darn cute (the grands, Fiore, Molly, You do have a dog Molly?!, John.......) :) xo

  5. I swear that the kids today are born with technological powers that we never were. They can master anything. Each generation must be getting smarter that the previous. I'd even like to try that. And have your weekend rain.

  7. It sounds like you were able to pass the rainy day with a lot of grandkid fun. I wish I could do that. Great mosaic memories. It poured all day yesterday and it's showering today and foggy but warm. Warm is okay. Can you believe tomorrow is October???

  9. A simply beautiful post!! FULL of love and contentment! I love the 'old' games. Amber and Mike have a Wi. Maybe we'll play that this week. LD loses all track of time when he plays video games.
Summer and Jesse (my two oldest children) grew up with Atari. Amber played Mario Brothers when she was little and to make the guy 'jump' she would get UP from her little chair in front of the TV and move sideways! I can't believe she is now a mom! Time does fly!! We must NOT blink!!

  12. Love these...especially the last one. What cuties they are! I was wondering if I missed the latest new "Atari" announcement; haven't heard that in a long time. Of course, as it's from the Middle Ages as you point out...I would be very familiar.

  22. Getting together and playing games is a great way to spend a rainy day. You've created some lovely scenes here. Those boys are charmers, for certain.

Can I even admit that weeks and weeks of sunny weather has me longing for a rainy day? I know they will come soon enough, and I'll long for sun, but for now....rain is not in the forecast.

  24. They are adorable! Sounds like a very pleasant rainy day. My husband and I actually bought an old Nintendo 64 game unit years ago because those are the games we played. My daughter has a Playstation but you have to push too many buttons to play these newer games.
