Reminder to Self

Get Out of the House once in a while...

#5 ☺ or the little guy with the final kick that made me chuckle

Watch some soccer...

Enjoy the view...

you'll be back to the same old same old soon enough.

Though yesterday morning was blue, by afternoon's soccer game and drive, some clouds stole in. Well, into every life...

Say, are you a stay-at-home person or a get-out-and-about person?

  1. Good Morning, Vee. Looks like you had a gorgeous day to be outdoors. Love to hear and see the children playing.
We are at 41 degrees here in GA this a.m.
    Wishing you a delightful Monday.

  2. Cute video ~ reminds me of our sons playing soccer. Would love to watch our grandson play soccer so it's especially fun to share in your little guys games.

Really wonderful autumn pictures! You're helping me ~ I've been needing to see autumn colors and decorations. I saw a few the other day and will have to take pictures. It's so much fun to see how others decorate. Wish I could come up with my own ideas, but imitation is the best form of flattery so I hope it's okay to gather ideas from others.

  3. It appears you took your own advice! What beautiful skies, trees, people....

Personally, I tend to be a stay-at-home person if I don't remind myself to get-out-and-about.

  4. You shared some wonderful pics of your time enjoying the beautiful weather. I just love white pumpkins. I bought lots of mums & pumpkins over the weekend. I'll be showing them in my post today.

  5. Oh sigh! Too much stay-at-home, here. Oh sigh! So I do understand when you say... To remind one's self to get out-and-about, more often. -sigh-

I so envy those gals who have *ooodles* of pep, and are on-the-go all the time. Both whipping around their home, AND out on the road. -moan- If only they could "bottle" some of that PEP! :-)

And btw... ,-) Is that a "Murder Of Crows", on top of that barn, in the 6th pic down??? -giggles-

Plus, no fair, say I! You got way down, and took that last pic, from "ground level." No fair, to 'Olden Ladies,' like me. Who are not so nimble, any more. -chuckle-

  7. What a beautiful day for a game! I love to get out and about, especially in the fall.

  8. I am a stay at home person but I am trying to be more of a get out and about person :)

  9. Stay at home person. Although getting out is good for me!
Happy Monday. Soccer games at that age are a lot of fun. So many distractions on the field! You know, bugs and such.

  10. This weekend was a definite get out and about weekend. We were gone most of the day Saturday to a Harvest Market Fest type thing and on Sunday I spent the day with youngest daughter in the mall finding her Homecoming dress. Beautiful weekend! Great Fall pictures!

  11. I like to stay at home but I make sure I get out and walk everyday. Walking is good for you physically and always raises my spirt, even in the winter! Thanks for stopping by, Laura

  12. I am definitely a stay-at-home person! My young married/young mom self used to be on the go all the time, but I learned to find contentment in my home. Now perhaps I am too content (is that possible?), because I can happily stay at home for days on end.

  13. I am glad that you took the time to get out and about though. What fun those soccer games can be...so exciting to see our own little people out there on the field.

I love your line up of pumpkins, and your own front porch...with fallen leaves!

  14. Good morning! How I enjoy watching kids play ball...any kind of ball actually. Such pretty pictures..I love seeing your views. STILL hot here...sigh.

I am definitely both. LOVE LOVE LOVE being out and about. But sometimes there is nothing like a day at home with nothing to do but putter about.

    Enjoy your day!

  15. I used to be a get out and about person, but now more a stay at home one. Sigh. I try. I have ben out in monsoon like rain today to go to my aquarobics class and now I am about to curl up under a blanket and crochet. I lead an exciting life!

  16. I am and out and about kind of girl, and a stay at home kind of girl...

Your out and about was great - especially the little soccer players! So cute!

I am love to see the changing leaves there...wonderful!

  17. I'm a little of both...or a lot of both? lol I love being at home but then I get 'cabin fever' and can't wait to get OUT! Enjoy your day! Would you believe that nice cool air made it all the way down to Florida last night! It was 59 this morning...I have on SOCKS! heehee! Hugs!

  18. Lovely photos Vee. I would say I am usually happiest when I am out and about exploring. But life often keeps me at home and the same old, same old doesn't make me feel as alive. I think I change from chapter to chapter, season to season.

We are having such gorgeous weather. I feel guilty that I have been inside all week.

    Have a great day.

  19. I am clapping in agreement...I seem to just expand by getting out some...being inside too much can make me cranky...these are great pictures...thanks for sharing

  20. Good morning from Southern California Vee! Beautiful photos. I really love soccer and it's always fun to watch the little ones...
I need both stay at home time and out and about time. I get tired of too much of either...

  21. Since I work from home, I tend to be the stay home type. I would love to get out more and feel so much better when I do. I haven't even gotten any pumpkins or mums yet.

  22. I'm like Catherine...I have a studio at home that I work from, but that also allows me on the blue sky, sunny, and right now, colorful days, to get outside and just enjoy the beauty of nature. It keeps me grounded that something greater than us gives me so much pleasure:-D

  23. BOTH! Indoor and outdoor person!
Lovely weekend you had. Oh, how many soccer games have I been to with 3 kids! Must be even MORE fun to watch your grands!

You spent some time out in the country, too - I love all the pumpkins and the colored leaves! I bought a pumpkin and some mums this weekend and had my son and hubby pressure wash the house before we start fall/winter decorating. I'd love to have them pressure-wash the inside of the house!!!

  24. I like both staying at home and getting out. Probably tend more to the stay at home type because after being out for awhile, there's nothing better than arriving on my own doorstep again.

Fall colour is starting to be very pretty out your way. And how fun to watch your grands playing soccer.

  25. A wonderful reminder and beautiful, gorgeous photos!!! I may just head out the door today and not stop until I hit Maine. LOL!
Truthfully, I guess it's fairly evident by my blog name which category I fall into ;-). However, I also love to get out and about especially at this lovely time of the year.

  26. I'm a little bit of both. It often depends on the weather. In spring and fall, I like to be out and about, and I can be more of a stay-at-home during the hot summer and cold winter. Beautiful photos today!

  27. A wonderful reminder, Vee! I love these Autumn days when the sky is blue and the sun is shining. You've captured them perfectly! xo, Lynda

  28. I'm both. I love to go out and always glad to come home again. : )

  29. I used to be an out girl, now I am more of the inside. I love your photo's, the little boys playing soccer. lovely.

  30. Oh Vee, just look at the gorgeous fall colors where you live!!!! It's all so beautiful!! We are about a month away from color I believe ~ I love getting out a few times a week but am mostly a homebody. Having only one car right now, it is harder to do things. Thank goodness I love my home!!! Wishing you a wonderful week dear friend, hugs and love, Dawn

  31. You have fall color in your neck of the woods! Love all these photos, especially the pumpkin and leaves by the door.....beautiful.....I am a home girl, but do enjoy an outing every so often, or just relaxing in my back yard. xo

  32. Hi Vee!

Don't you just love going to those soccer games?! What fun, and I know that your little sweetie will always remember that, grandma was there!

It looks like Fall has definitely made it to your neck of the woods, what beautiful pictures! I love the one of the barn with the birds all lined up on top - so cute! And those East coast fall colors are just gorgeous!

I like to get out sometimes . . . but I love to stay at home. I'm not one of those people who just have to get out and go shopping, or visiting. I'm quite content to just stay home most days and mind my manners.... :0)

    Hugs,
    Barb

  33. So beautiful! And we both (or so I think) have grandsons who play soccer! This time of year is such a joy when the weather is right! When it only rains at night.......

  34. I have no grands so I go to the neighborhood park now and then and watch the kids play soccer. Sometimes the parents are more entertaining than the kids! Lovely pictures, they are always cheerful.

  35. You have beautiful views. i just scrolled down and saw the gorgeous church photo at the bottom. You have autumn in full swing there. We at least have cooler weather and windows open. I would love to stay at home and it will be interesting to see how I do when that becomes possible. :-)

  36. I love seeing your little jaunt. I am a half/half person, sometimes I am content to stay put and sometimes I need to get out and about if I start to feel too cooped up.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Vee, your post answers the question at the bottom of my recent post. :) Great pictures of your countryside and the beautiful colours of autumn. I'm glad you got out and explored. When you read my blogpost you'll see both our questions were answered. Hugs, Pam

  38. Love the pics! I tend to be both...some days I just love to be home. Other days I really want to get out and about. I tend to think it depends on how well my baby sleeps for me at night thus whether I am sleepy myself or not! We have two days a week that are busy, so the other days I try to keep rather mellow.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I am a little of both! I find the more I saty at home the more I stay at home!!

Your pictures are breath takingly beautiful!!!

  40. oh wow! is that your view? I would definitely be a outside person with a view like that! Unfortunately work keeps my inside most days, so I look forward to days we can get out and go bush walking, or go on a camping holiday.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today to say hi - have a wonderful week.

  41. I'm a stay at home gal for the most part- but I do walk every day and if I miss a day- I feel out of sorts until I can get my daily dose of outdoors. I'm definitely not a gadder (until vacation time, that is!)

  42. What is it about Fall that makes us so happy. I know I am. I went to an Oktoberfest in Oregon and it was just fun. Lots of people, but fun.

  43. I guess I'm both! I love 'going and doing'...but need my at-home time as well.
