Nicely done and your morning view is my kind of view :)
Ahhh.....simplicity is so soothing and a treat for the eyes.
I always enjoy seeing your view and the napkins are a wonderful photo for this challenge as well. Happy weekend my friend!
What great pics Vee - and nice to meet you via Donna's Photo Challenge.I'm hoping the first one is not how it looks right now - in other words that you have some green bursting forth from those wintry looking trees! If you're in MA though I know seasonal changes are late - I lived there, and in NH, several years myself and recall the late arrival of many Springs!Second photo I love..........simplicity in every way. Anything linen and antique or vintage always grabs my attention. Damask napkins (serviettes in England) are the best - I get mine out for company and think why don't I use them more often instead of yucky paper ones!Happy weekend - sending warm sunshine from the south - in case you're not getting any!!!!Hugs - Mary (A Breath of Fresh Air)
It looks even worse today with a covering of snow. This was taken several days ago. No spring here yet!
I couldn't help but reply . . . Yup, that's how it looks! We're anxiously awaiting Spring!
Well Vee nice job. Sorry to hear you all still have snow and maybe more coming? I love the napkins and server too. I have not idea how I got my shots I just shoot auto.QMM
Love your morning view! Enjoy your day!
beautifulphotos, I agree sometimes simplicity is more complicated to create than busy!
Very nicely done Vee. Linen and silver...beautiful!
Lovely...But...How are you...?
I love simplicity. The napkins & cake server remind me of my Mother's that I have in a drawer. It's time for them to come out & be enjoyed. Have a wonderful weekend, Vee.Smiles,Carol
I love your morning view! And that second photo of yours blows me away! Beautifully simple - a home run!!! Light play with shadows, monochromatic, hard object contrasting with soft objects, swirls contrasting with straight lines, and diagonals! Perfection...
I love your simplicity photos. Even though there many things to look at in the top photo, I like that it's still 'simple'. The focus goes to the back of the house and the smoke. The napkins and silver server make an excellent subject. We got about 2 inches of snow which is sort of melting now. Enjoy the day. Pam
Perfect! Will there be cake?
Very nice view and I love they way you create focal points with simple things.
Very nice. I like the napkin shot a lot...Hope your weekend is good. I hear a storm was headed your way. I'm ready for a good batch of sunshine and I can imagine you are, too.
Love them both. Beautiful morning and elegant composition for the napkins.
Wonderful photos you have to describe simplicity! Your cake server looks very similar to the one my mom gave me that was a wedding present of hers.
It's a beautiful idea and now that I'm home again...I'm going to be working on simplifying:-D Love the two photos you've taken, XOXO
Both of your simplicity shots are lovely. Indoors and out, with much the same colour scheme. I do love the elegance of bare branches against the sky, but I know that you must be getting tired of winter and longing for that first blush of green that hovers around tree skeletons like a cloud. Linens and silver seem to go together so well. I can hardly pass up damask napkins when I see them in the thrift stores. They are so beautiful, and so lovely to use. I hope you are doing well. Thinking of you - hoping that spring comes quickly to your heart and home.
my quest is for simplicity on the other side of the mountainof complexity.
Great photos for the challenge Vee. I like the second one best as I can interpret the challenge well with it after reading the comments on various posts. I really didn't know what was expected.Judith
'tis the gift to be simple, 'tis the gift to be free, 'tis the gift to come down where we ought to be . . ."It's also reminding me of those dress patterns that I always chose because the name was "Simplicity"--ha, ha, not always, at least for me.Lovely photos. the napkins look vintage.
Beautiful photo Vee! The older I get, the more simpler I like things! LOL! The sun has been playing Peek-a-boo Massachusetts today!
I love simplicity! Nice shots. Have a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful! Simple is often the best!
here you go, but there are lots more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfPzraCsmHs
Thanks...I needed that. xo
Both photos are very nice.
Love the simple things beautiful pictures.
I love the photos, and my first thought was... at Vee's house, I'll bet there's a yummy cake to go with that server! Warm from the oven.
I love both images Vee - I can imagine how difficult it is to select a "Simplicity" shot - you've chosen well - a great challenge. I might try it later in the day after I've re-planted my garden pots for some Winter color!Just be patient Vee dear, Spring will come eventually -"O Wind, If Winter comes, can Spring be far behind?..... Percy Bysshe ShelleyShane ♥
I can imagine that is a challenging subject. I would say you captured it very well. Lovely photos.
I love the napkin shot....and I would say that is probably challenging!
The simplicity is very refreshing and lovely :) Thanks for sharing, Vee.Hugs to you,Stephanie
Both beautiful! xo
My kind of simplicity!Beauty all around.Deanna
Beautiful view! Great job!
Yes, I think you're right. Simplicity is not always...ummmm...simple. I am looking around my living room right now, trying to identify something as "simple." I love your choices, both the morning view and those beautiful linens.
This looks like fun! I will try to join in next month :)
Simplicity at its best. You captured it so well!
Yes simplicity is a true talent. We were forced to get a bit simpler when we downsized but I still keep weeding out. And there's still too much "stuff"! Your photos are most excellent Vee! They are perfect inspirations of Simplicity. Have you thought about getting into professional photography? I think you could sell some of your photos. Thanks for helping me decide that I'm done with the bench! What a relief... on to the next project, you know how that is. blessings & hugs to you, Sherry
Simple beauty - love it!Loved your Sunday post too sweet friend!Leann
Lovely photos! Can't believe you've still got winter weather! It's so hot here I've had the AC on already and my daffodils are dead!
Nice B&W shots, Vee1 We had 12 inches of snow last Tuesday and it all melted away by Thursday. It was warm since but this Tuesday we may get snow again. Will winter ever quit? Colorado needs the moisture but I'd take rain over snow!
Sorry to be late! I was out of town...Seeing your Lovely shots, I think I tried to over think the challenge! These are Wonderfully done....!!hughugs
Beautiful. I like simple...clean...uncluttered. Some find that boring. I find it peaceful.
So peaceful looking
