Your Wish is My Command

You asked to see the shoes so stay tuned, I'm sharing.

First I thought I'd share what many of you see at your own house these fine May days. To think I ever despaired of spring!

~azaleas blooming~
~bees buzzing~

~lilacs blooming~

~projects going~
 ~Skechers walking~

And, as promised, the
shoes — Skechers. Marvelously lightweight and yet supportive. So comfortable I didn't know what comfortable was before. Aren't they adorable? (She asked with tongue firmly in cheek. ☺)

I know that I said I'd be back in three days and it has only been two. I just remembered that we'll be receiving our new-to-us living room furniture this weekend and there is much to do before that.

Have a blessed weekend, my friend!

  1. It is hard to believe that after that horrid winter, spring actually made it to your neck of the woods. For this I am so grateful. Very springy and foggy here today. Nice shoes. I've never tried that kind and need a ton of support, so I went with NB. I love the slip-on aspect of your Skechers (why do I keep wanting to put a 't' in there?) Unfortunately, in the early morning when I want to cut the asparagus, the grass is too wet to wear anything other than my mud boots. Have a great weekend, Vee. Enjoy those new shoes! Don't forget to check on the asparagus. It's growing like crazy right now!

  2. Oh I like the new shoes Vee. I have a pair of grey with purple accent Sketcher running shoes I guess you'd call them. So comfortable and lightweight as well, certainly not as dressy/casual as yours.
I'm hoping my lilacs will be blooming by next week but it looks like you can sit on the deck and enjoy the fragrance already.
Heading 1.5 hr north to see some of our granddaughter's dance recital this morning.
    Have a great weekend.

  3. Oh, I do love the shoes. Very similar to what I found at WalMart to slip into and they have a cushy sole. Your lilacs are so pretty. We purchased one thru mail order last fall. I can't wait for it to grow and bloom...perhaps next year. Fun to get new to you furniture. Hope you'll share. I also am curious about your project...a deck? a flowerbed? Have a blessed day.

  4. Who cares what the shoes look like? As long as the feet are happy, the person is happy. Nothing worse that feet that hurt. I have a dear friend who, like me, is vertically challenged. She wears shoes with heels so high it makes my feet and back hurt just looking at them. I love your new shoes. Good for you! I love lilacs and I can't grow them here. I'll enjoy yours! Have a lovely weekend!

  5. How pretty - your spring foliage AND shoes! Gosh, I wonder if they have those kind of shoes in wide width? I will have to check. My feet is practically square, so comfortable shoes are exceedingly hard for me to find. Poor John has another project. I'm sure that you are properly treating him, however, to his favorite foods. P.S. I will be posting soon, per your request.

  6. My kind of shoes, Vee. And they appear to be easy on and off too.
It is ever so beautiful there at your home now with all of the flowers blooming and the bees buzzing!
We aren't there yet, but the tulips are budding now at least, so we're getting a little closer to a real Spring soon.

  7. At last you have spring flowers! Your photos are lovely, Vee.
I like the shoes. They are casual and smart. Every day when I get ready for work I dress from the feet up. Friends find this funny but it makes perfect sense to me. I can't go through a day with sore feet. Nearly all my shoes are comfortable (the last pair of 'for show' shoes I bought were for my daughter's wedding.) Sketchers are great!

  8. Love that Spring has arrived out your windows! So pretty. I can relate to projects!! I have a pair of the new Skechers light weight shoes that I'm enjoying, too. They are so light. Took me a while to find the style that would work with my feet but I'm real happy with them! Woohoo...new to you furniture! Have a great weekend.

  11. Such beautiful pictures!! And I can smell the lilacs!! My mother's favorite...she'd be swooning, lol. And the shoes look super comfy and honestly that's about all I care about anymore. If my feet hurt, and I am no good on the day! New to you furniture? How fun...looking forward to seeing that. Enjoy your week-end Vee!

  13. Yay for Skechers! I have white ones and a black pair and I LOVE them. I wear a pair for "every day" and the others I wear when I'm going to be walking a lot shopping, etc. The white gets dirty too easily, but I machine wash them and let them air dry and they come out looking like new. Most comfortable shoes I've ever had!

So happy for you that you are seeing spring blooms now! And I can't wait to see what new projects you and John are doing. Have a nice weekend!

  17. It's so nice to see these lovelies blooming after that long, hard winter! The shoes do look quite comfortable...Sketcher's make a lot of cute walking shoes. Although I do like my Croc's flip-flops, there are times when I need something more substantial. We have a Sketcher's outlet in my town...I may just have to go check them out!

  18. Love the spring photos, aren't the blossoming trees glorious!? I was just looking out the window this morning, it was dark and stormy, but the lawn and trees glowed like one big emerald. The apple trees shone white and then a ruby cardinal flew past the window. My favorite kinds of jewels and I am so glad they are finally at your house too :) I had some of the sketchers go walk shoes in navy blue. Pretty is as pretty does, they may not be gorgeous but there comes a time in every woman's life when comfort trumps beauty. I am there. Enjoy your new to you, new furniture!

  19. Love your flowers AND your shoes. Our lilacs are budded but not actually flowering yet. I have 2 pairs of Skechers in a Mary Jane style which I actually use for dress shoes. Got the brown pair and loved them so much that I got a second pair in black.

  20. So very nice to see that spring has truly arrived up there.
Lightweight and comfortable are a winning combination for footwear in my book. As for the adorable part, that's becoming less and less important to me. Ha!
New furniture sounds like fun. Hope you'll pop back in with a photo or two.

  24. Nice pics. I'll bet you're enjoying not having snow on the ground. I've been thinking about trying a pair of Skechers. Hope they're in my price range (cheap). They do look comfy. ~:)

  25. I have the same shoes in light grey!! I love them too. Aren't they comfortable? I'm planning to buy lace ups by them as well. I can even go shopping in the mall for more than an hour without pain and that's saying something. Isn't it wonderful to see everything blooming? It's such a pretty time of the year. Enjoy the weekend. Hugs. Pam

  26. I'm glad to see you are finally getting spring.
Looks like your getting a stone patio?
Light weight and comfy - can't beat that!! I'll have to try a pair.

  27. They look like they were made for walking...and that is pretty important when it comes to shoes. Many were only made to look good! :) Enjoy!

Glad things are blooming over there! See, it was worth waiting for, right?

    And the project...???

  28. Hey - I love your new shoes! I too am enjoying the Spring Flowers at long last - like Judy said - they were worth waiting for. New furniture and interesting projects - what fun! O.K. now we need to see your new living room and the project ...

  29. I say a double yay - YAY to spring and lilacs....and certainly YAY to comfortable feet!

I have so much catching up to do, going about it slowly these days.

GL with furniture moving - be careful not to overdo it and hurt yourselves. Hugs.

  33. Thanks for sharing, I love the shoes, really I do. I have to wear comfortable shoes for walking those hills at school, anyways, I am looking at Sketchers as well. I just love your pictures. Can't wait to see your new furniture-smiles. Blessings

  34. Love your sketchers … comfort rules at my age. Ah lilacs, the one flowering plant I so miss down here in the south. Enjoy your moving around day today! It's always nice to have a change.

  35. Yes, Spring eventually arrives and renews are spirits, doesn't it?
I have a pair of Sketchers almost just like yours, Vee. Comfort is essential to happiness and well-being.
New furniture? I look forward to seeing it soon. Be careful and enjoy your weekend!

Spring is already dressed and waiting to spread her charm the moment old lady winter finally leaves!
Looking forward to seeing your 'new' furniture!

  39. I'm so glad Spring has finally arrived! Your shoes look comfortable- great for walking. Have a lovely weekend! xo

  40. I just read about the Sketchers Go Walk. It's too bad more companies don't make supportive shoes that are cute! Is that totally impossible? Reveling in spring here too!

  41. Hi Vee, Your lilacs and azaleas are lovely and it's looking lush and green at your home. Perfect spring weather! Hope you are enjoying it. Have a good wknd and God bless!

  42. No lilacs yet for us, our spring I do believe, is the last to arrive on the planet. We do have tulips but that's it so far. Looks John has taken on quite the project. My kind of shoes, love them. I have to wear real shoes as well. No flip flops, open sandals, heels or even anything with a wedge, has to be totally flat. Looks like these are the ones. Love the picture of the lilacs from your window. ~ Abby

  44. I'm wanting to plant some lilacs here--I can smell yours from here. The shoes look quite comfy and I'll have to see if I can find them. Lately, I've been in Merrills for my bad fee:-D

  45. There is a white-ish lilac just outside the door where I work. It has the most beautiful fragrance. I do need to find out the name of it and buy one. They are such a treat. It was a long winter wasn't it? So glad it's over.

  49. I loved seeing what is growing and happening around your place, my lilacs are almost done. I need to get a new pair of shoes as mine are starting to get really bad (feet hurting). I should check those out.

  50. Thanks for leaving a comment on my post. My daughter said she had noticed a buildup of arm muscle along with this baby! You know, I haven't seen one forsythia among all the blooming things. Too early maybe? I love that stuff but have none because it's too fleeting. I like things that last a long time. The shoes. I have 3 pair and wear nothing else. I've had less foot problem since changing to good shoes. ? What kind of project?

  51. I like those shoes--they do look comfortable. I wear orthotics in my sneakers so I have to buy New Balance sneakers as their lining comes out. I had a very painful bout of planter facistis once and I need the heal support.

Your weather is better than ours. We ahve had rain 17 out of the last 19 days! I will be building an ark very soon!!
