Finding out it wasn't their fault helped (a little)! I didn't think I would like it this season, but sad to say, I haven't even missed Matthew that much! Thanks for this venue for gleaning Downton thoughts and opinions; Susan Branch followers also share Downton comments on her blog (no doubt there are other blogs as well). As for Bates, didn't he allude to having learned in prison clever ways of dealing with things? I'm hopeful he's devised a clever way of righting this wrong without sacrificing himself...

Sharon in Alabaman/ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17369954553919919919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4152193618785368659.post-31603717814529829402014-01-29T17:28:51.369-05:002014-01-29T17:28:51.369-05:00OK...now I finally figured out why what I thought ...OK...now I finally figured out why what I thought was episode 4...was actually episode 5. Let's hope we don't have another trial. And yes I like that you called that last pic foreshadowing because it did not tell you much but gave you a feeling …. and I like how you showed so much of the nursery scene. That was just like some good medicine for those of us who feel it's been a bit of a downer of a season. How happy they look. Of course the children don't know who they are missing. I just love Violet's pithy quotes. And indeed, how did Baxter sew that rip, not on a seam so it no longer showed? Who is that good. Mrs. Patmore could teach us all a lesson: embrace change and embrace the future.podsohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14880888514207597761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4152193618785368659.post-72730994906913513142014-01-29T15:25:39.974-05:002014-01-29T15:25:39.974-05:00This was on eof my favorites too!! Yes, I agree that Mary showed tenderness and warmth with her baby. I did notice the foreshadowing of Edith going up the step. Hmmm, so much to ponder!
