What a blessing...What a delightful husband John is! What a blessing. (As you are to him, I'm sure.) Someone used to come and tap the maple trees at our cottage at Chautauqua. We never new who it was, and then after perhaps a decade, it stopped. The trees were really old and we were always happy to see this bit of Americana being preserved. And then a few years ago the oldest tree died and had to come down. The town did it for free as it was a danger to anyway driving by. We miss it still. It is hard to believe that it is already past the middle of March. I think this area of Colorado is very much like New York City in that we can't expect truly constant ice weather until May, but I'll take any nice days that want to come early.
