...Vee, I enjoyed reading your hodge podge answers.
I sure enjoyed my childhood summers. They felt long to me back then and I wonder how they have gotten so short. My favorite thing about summers as a child was going camping with my cousins. Back then, it was a tent and a big rack on the top of the car and mom had us loaded down so that as soon as dad came home from work it was a quick shower and we were on our way.

Thank you for sharing the list.. It sounds as though you got lots of good suggestions for your down in the dumps day. Hope they made it better! When I think of summer as a kid, one fond memory is when my dad would bring home a glass gallon jug of frothy root beer from the local "root beer stand" as we called it....you know the ones with the giant mug of root beer that rotated on top. Nothing was more of a treat on a hot summer night. Soda pop was not something we drank routinely...back then it was a special treat! We spent our days walking around the lake and in the forest. We would jump in and out of the lake whenever we got hot, with out clothes on. They would dry and we would jump back in again.Penny from Enjoying The Simple Thingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01480355122441712250noreply@blogger.com
