I was creating a little something in my sewing room for Valentine gifts. Shhhhh...

5. Do you generally wear your heart on your sleeve, or keep your cards close to the vest?
Depends
I can keep my cards close to the vest; it is easier to wear my heart on my sleeve as it takes less control.
6. What food says love to you? Why?
Nearly anything my mother ever made. Why? She was my mom and a fabulous cook.

This weekend when I learned about a new member of a friend's family...a baby girl!

It should be said that when I resort to the Hodge Podge, it is because I'm fresh out of thoughts. Good thing that Joyce has a few to spare!
How about a random photo instead?
Good morning! LOVED your acrostic. I think I made that too difficult...imagine that? lol We had pretty much the same answers for 2 and 4, imagine that? lol. Can't wait to see what you are making. Enjoy your day Vee!
ReplyDeleteGreat hodgepodge answers, Vee. I love the simplicity of them...I have a tendency to overthink questions like this. One day I will link into Joyce's meme. Great collage of your sewing room...I would have to work very hard to get mine presentable enough to share :)
ReplyDeleteGreat acrostic! I'm with you...chocolate is the way to my heart, too!
ReplyDeleteLoved your answers, and I agree, my sewing room IS my play room :)
ReplyDeleteI was re-reading your intro on the sidebar, and feel a bit similar. After seven years I have to dig deep for content. Your acrostic is terrific!
ReplyDeleteVery clever!
ReplyDeleteI like your acrostic - especially the Vigilant one. I think that is an important part of real love!
ReplyDeleteYes, to chocolate!
I love your play room - it is great to play and eat chocolate!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI might have to use this one day. I'm often out of ideas.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the reveal of your valentine gifts.
Your acrostic is just wonderful and I love your header. I completely agree about the sewing room. If I had one, it would definitely be a play room!
ReplyDeleteAmen to your number 2.
ReplyDeleteVee, you are lucky to have a play room. The dollies all lined up in a row, watching you make magic, is charming. I hope John reads your post today! ♥
ReplyDeleteLoved the simplicity in the acrostic. The right words say it all, don't they. You have a play room? How delightful! I think I can see enough to know you like vintage. You might find a couple of blogs on "Love Your Home" of interest, especially #'s 2 and 3. I started this series because of a desire to post a blog more frequently that just Wednesdays, and a lack of subject fodder. I have really enjoyed the process. Have a great week, and I look forward to visiting with you again next week.
ReplyDeleteI love reading HodgePodge posts!!
ReplyDeleteYes, to the chocolate!
Your sewing room looks like a fun place to be!
Perfectly said in number 2. : )
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful! Well done!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thank goodness you have the hodge podge to fall back on when you are out of ideas, I just don't post. There are currently crickets chirping over on the blog. Happy Valentines day!
ReplyDeleteLove your acrostic! Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI like your interpretation of what love is! xx
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your hodgepodge. You write so well!
ReplyDeleteGreat acrostic and I agree with #2. Hmmm I brought home chocolate today. Happy Wednesday to you!
ReplyDeletegood answers
ReplyDeleteThis was fun to read! I like your playroom photos. Even big girls need to play!
ReplyDeleteI loved reading this and #2 made me stand up and cheer...love it. and love you.

Good answers! One of the days I'll have to do a Hodgepodge, it looks like fun. But I'll pick out one with easy questions...haha. I like your playroom!
ReplyDeleteHi Vee!
ReplyDeleteFun! Chocolate always says love to me, even if I buy it for myself! Please share your sewing project with us . . . :0) Fun pictures, I wish sewing was fun for me, my sewing room is more like a labor camp!
Hugs,
Barb
I have a chalk board! I will do an acrostic!!! Thank you for the inspiration! The last few months I have used the name of the month but so far I haven't written a thing for February!
ReplyDeleteLoved reading your answers to this Hodge Podge. I have a feeling something lovely will be emerging from your play room for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteThose are always fun to fill out - and we learn a little something each time....and now I am SURE that you like chocolate!
ReplyDeleteYour sewing room/play room is perfect.
I actually knew a woman who hated chocolate. I found it hard to believe. She had lots of other issues too, no surprise. Good for you for joining the Hodgepodge as a last resort. LOL. That made me laugh. You may have noticed I didn't join in. Questions like that make my ISTJ brain ache. The love question immediately made me want to launch into a sermon and it didn't seem like the right place and time.
ReplyDeleteI love your sewing/playroom! I'm getting ready to redo my art, sewing, play room hopefully soon. Rick is moving his office to our son's old room on the third floor and I'll have my room back to myself. I would have loved to had the third floor (once was the attic) but didn't like the idea of packing water up and down the stairs for painting or running up and down the stairs for potty breaks at this age.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great acrostic, Vee! I want to see what you're creating! I need to get busy sewing and I have a project in mind.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading your answers this week.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Nicely done. I wish I had a sewing/project room
