Troubles

Dear Friends,

I am no longer able to sign in to my blog so that I can leave comments on yours. When I select the "sign in" button, I can get behind the page as I have done to post this. Still, when I return to my home page, I am not signed in nor can I sign in at your blog. Always something.

So far, I can still read at your blogs, but the way things are going...

Over and out for now at least...

Vee

My good friend Abby, who is apparently a good computer geek as well, was able to determine what was cranking Blogger—they don't like BRAVE. I do like Brave so will continue to use it for most things on this iPad. It is worth the effort of switching to Safari when visiting blogs. See what I go through just for you?! 😁 If I haven't yet arrived at your place, give me a little more time. I am deep into Thanksgiving cleaning to include shredding old documents and washing up dishes only used at this time of year. You know the drill. And now I know why I dislike Safari...it keeps freezing. Oh well, maybe my patience will return.

Hope to visit soon!

  2. I wonder why? That is very strange. Do you need to change your password or something to do with Google? We miss you and want you to keep posting if you can! I hope this can be fixed.

  3. So weird... It says "Comment as Google Account" so, since I can't sign in, I said "hi" and off it went appearing as you see above. Wish that I could do it that way at your blogs, but it is not possible.

  4. My goodness Vee, so sorry this happening. Hopefully it will resolve itself soon.

  5. Are you able to look in the Blogger helps documents, Vee? I just did, and uncovered two possible solutions. First, does this help at all?:

"Since many others have come to this thread with descriptions of looping or inability to sign in, I will share this for them.

If you had a Google+ profile for you blog on the day that Google+ was shut down, you may need to create a Blogger profile to regain access.

Google told us that former G+ users would be prompted to do so automatically, but this does not seem to have happened."

    1. That sounds odd. I do have a Google account. Formerly, I had a Blogger account, I have no idea how to go about signing up for a Blogger account without messing everything up, Thank you for looking into it for me.

    2. Oh I never did the Google + thing.

  6. Well, that is a bother! I wonder if it has anything to do with what browser you use. I have had some similar experiences to what you describe, when using Safari to comment on blogs. It doesn't happen when I use Firefox. Just a thought. Hope it gets resolved very soon!

  7. Hi Vee,

Isn't that an aggravation? Hal had to help me create an account on WordPress so I could leave comments there for Ellen. It seems like it's always something. I'm sorry you're having this problem and wish I knew how to help. Thanks for updating us!

  9. Such a shame. Hope all is well with you otherwise and that you are keeping well. Take care and stay safe. Sorry I can't offer any solutions.

  10. This is unsettling, to say the least. It's enough, as my mom used to say, to take the joy right out of living. I have been considering switching blog hosts, but it kinda scares me to even think about it. My learning curves seem sharper these days.

I'd hate for you to disappear entirely, Vee. We'd miss you terribly. I hope you can find a way to make it work for you. Dear Lord, some wisdom here would be appreciated.

  11. I'm sorry I can't assist with this problem dear Vee - I struggle with anything 'technical' and Bob is even worse! Hopefully it corrects itself, or someone such as one of your grandsons can help - the kids are the ones who seem to fix things easily when it comes to computers, phones etc. Oh to be young again!

Sending hugs in these discouraging times - please don't disappear, we all love love you.

  13. Oh dear. I know that you enjoy visiting and engaging with your blog friends, so this is the pits. I have no practical help whatsoever to offer as I am tech-challenged on a good day. But I am saying a prayer that whatever is wrong can be righted.

  21. I am sorry to see this and I understand your frustration. I’ve had similar problems in the past and it just wore me out. My particular problem at the time seemed to be connected with a computer update we did on both of our computers. I don’t remember how Tom got it fixed but he may have had to spend time on the phone with Apple.

Another time I got relief when I switched from Safari to Chrome. Then later I was able to get back to Safari.

  22. It's always a pain to get help from Google or Blogger. I think you are smart to share with your followers. I've had a lot of problems solved this way. Good luck, Lee

  23. Oh no, so sorry to hear about your current problem. I find this type of problem to be so frustrating as my tech knowledge is limited. When I had my own problem a few months ago I found no helpful solutions through the forums and help section. Thankfully it was simple for my son to figure out. I wish you luck in getting this problem solved.

  25. I am having computer woes too,Vee, I think mine is just worn out! I haven't blogged in weeks for several reasons, like you, busy with matters at home, getting the farm ready for winter and upcoming lambing!
Trying to break this news habit I have, too!
    Think of you so often.
Wishing you and your dear family a very blessed and Happy Thanksgiving.
    Love,

  26. Hi Vee~

I'm having trouble with Blogger, or maybe it's my Computer, who knows? I'm not able to post on some blogs and it's just fine on others. I can certainly feel your pain. Anyway, I worked on it, and I'm finally able to post! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving!

    Hugs and Love,

  29. Frustrating issues for sure, but I'm glad you figured out how to get around it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. We had our Thanksgiving this past Saturday, our sweet Oklahoma daughter and family were here for a visit and had to leave yesterday so now we get to just relax on Thanksgiving weekend and I'm really looking forward to that! We may make it a new tradition to celebrate early. Sending love....

  32. The new Blogger format has had its "blips" just as it has in the past whenever it updated. I have figured most of it out but every now and then something new occurs....just to keep us learning I guess. I wonder if there is a conflict with Apple ---iPad and the more android friendly Google? I'm glad Abby was able to figure it out for you!
