Hi! Nice to see you.
It's time to share some puttering and I promise I won't chat your ear off. Just a little picture story with captions.
One more thing, this is not to be confused with a house or yard tour. I don't even attempt to do those anymore. I have embarrassed myself one too many times. 😥

Thanks for stopping by. Now I really should get down to business because I am just goofing off. ッ Have a great weekend!

We have enjoyed your non-tour, Vee! Like a little visit to your house. Beautiful bit of summer in your yard still. I love your red strainer and your red chest of drawers. Very cheerful.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to a writerly event this afternoon to see if I can meet a local new to me poet new at this writers' panel. I wrote about her book in a recent post, Shawna Lemay. It's quite autumny this morning, but I'm hearing that there are warnings of flurries later on.
Wishing you a lovely weekend...

Ha! I like Brenda's comment about a non-tour! I like it, too. So glad that summer is hanging on for a bit longer in your corner. The pumpkins above the door add a great touch of colour! Nice use for the toolbox, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm puttering at home today, too. I picked the grapes and am making juice concentrate to can - easy to do, and especially easy this year as there are not many grapes! Laundry, some cleaning, and other bits and pieces will make up my day.
We've had really wonderful golden autumn weather this past week, but this morning the clouds are moving in, there's a breeze, and although it's still quite warm, there's rain in the forecast. Autumn is moving in!
I love seeing these beautiful images!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are still looking great! Love where you placed the tool box. Are your fall colors arriving yet?
ReplyDeleteHi Vee~
ReplyDeleteI have always loved it when you give us a little visit in your yard and around your house. I love the tool box in the corner, and the pumpkins are simple and inviting...loved it!
Hugs and Love,
Barb
VEE!!!!!!!! I have missed you!!!!! I just loved the photos, smiles.
ReplyDeleteVee, what is the chubby white appliance on the counter - new to me!
ReplyDeleteYour geraniums etc. still look great and I see you have a pot of mums the same color as mine.
Love the paint color of your door - perfect spot for the mini pumpkins.
Thanks for taking us on a mini tour - all looks lovely for autumn in New England.

That is an air fryer purchased in the heat of last summer. It is a convection oven and cooks things without a lot of added fat. It works great for me so I don’t have to heat up the oven. It also cooks in less time.
DeleteI was just in a discussion about air fryers with some ladies from church. The ones I know just love theirs...not much room for another large appliance in my kitchen but definitely on my list when I get my farm pantry!
DeleteLovely views around your home, Vee. I adore the red cabinet and the charming top that rests on top. It looks to be from an old stove--It's great. The toolbox looks right at home as a great storage unit for your things.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing your red geraniums. They look lovely in the photo with the American flag. And the jack be little pumpkins over the transom is darling. ♥
Hi Vee, I too loved your non-tour! Like a little drop-by visit, without the cuppa tea! Your geraniums are still looking good. I have 15 red geraniums planted in a bed, they are still blooming, with lots of buds! Positive thinking! Lol
ReplyDeleteLove the mini pumpkins in your transom window, just sweet! I’ve been doing a little fall decorating too, but haven’t bought any pumpkins yet.
Hi Vee! I always love peeping in friends' homes, so thank you very much! I do love your do-over, and the tool box looks at home with all the cookbooks. Your outside flowers still look pretty, and yep...that'd be me, too, climbing up on a ladder for some Fall decor. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love, love, love pumpkins in a transom window!! (I will not think about the fact that you climbed a ladder to do it.)
ReplyDeleteSecondly, the very first time I posted a comment on your blog was a post about the range top that you bought. . . and there it is! That was the beginning of a sweet friendship that I value highly.
Loved seeing these photos, Vee!😊 They are all lovely, but I especially like the pumpkins over the door.
ReplyDeleteNice to see your pictures. Like your do over. I too like to change things up a bit here and there.
ReplyDeleteThe pumpkins look great in the transom window.
Cute and fun post! Beautiful red, white and blues...and I am loving those cute little "punkins" peeping out the windows above the door. Ladders don't scare me much either. :) And I really like what you did with the corner and that fabulous toolbox. Are those old stove shelves on the right? Ooohhh...I like, I like!
ReplyDeleteLadders scare me!
DeleteI just love you Vee!!! I've missed you so! We're moving and have found a gorgeous home so all is well!!! Stay tuned for my next post when I share photos...love to you and your sweet hubby ~ xoxo, Dawn
ReplyDeleteOh Vee...how sweet and welcoming...I enjoyed each little nook and cranny.....happy fall love....wish I could visit!
ReplyDeleteYour little pumpkins above the door reminds me of Susan Branch! Happy Autumn!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE what you did with the tool box!!! The pumpkins on your door transom is brilliant - love it! You goof off well ....
ReplyDeleteI love your pumpkins over the doorway! Very traditionally New England! I like what you did with that wonderful toolbox! That looks great! Can I ask what the white appliance is, in your photo?
ReplyDeleteI loved your goofing off. I don't climb ladders anymore so I really admired the pumpkins over the doorway! Tool box??? What tool box??!!! Well done! Happy October!
ReplyDeleteLadders should be approached with great care and only having the proper amount of caffeine in the morning. Wide awake and sure footed. Since we moved to the country we've seen the aftermath of 2 ladder incidents. Both a younger fella and an older fella with shoulder injuries and surgeries. Oye! Anywho back to your non tour. I love the pumpkins up above the door! Might steal that idea. I also am a little partial to your do over with the tool box. I look forward to the day in the future when I can sit leisurely in the morning or evening and visit my bloggers uninterrupted again. Moving isn't for sissys! Happy October to you dear Vee!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images! I especially love red geraniums. But it is all wonderful, Vee!
ReplyDeleteIt's looking lovely over there. What do you mean 'this is not a tour'? I like your splashes of red...in and out. Oh...and your choice of cookbooks too! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my heart melts when I see the red, white and blue. That flag...that glorious flag! Love all the pictures Vee. OOH.....I love that red strainer! But I am partial to red for sure. Hope you have a great rest of the week dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Vee!
ReplyDeleteWhat are those pretty red flowers? I grow a lot of geraniums here as the deer leave them alone of the most part and I love the bright red color.
geraniums...just a plain old geranium...☺️ You’re right, the deer don’t like them.
DeleteLove this!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful yard you have Vee! Thank you for the tour-that-wasn't-a-tour :D Love it! And I love how you spruced your little space up, perfect! It always feels good to do a little fluffing and changing things up! Your pumpkins above the door are darling, you are brave to climb a ladder for that! Enjoying seeing you blog again! :)
