26. 9:00: Do you know how difficult it is to get a photo on the dot?
27. Cloud—July has been rather stormy.
28. & 29. Blue and Flip-Flops (Yes, I have been known to cheat.)
30. Shapes
Couldn't decide if a close-up worked best and I liked the first photo better. Besides, I wanted to share that I have come into the Land of Paper Straws.
31. My own theme
Found Piglet hanging out at the piano after the boys had left so I just thought he should bookmark my song theme for the month, an old one by Dottie Rambo.
Just a collage review! Hope that you and I are clear about the news that there will be no August posts. (There will also be no precious few comments, though you may catch me tiptoeing into your kitchen, sitting at your table, enjoying a tall glass of iced tea. Please don't sic the dog on me. )
Have a great month! Thank you for stopping by today. You can find the other participants by clicking *here.*
All great photos! Feel free to drop by, look around, and tip toe out. No pressure - that takes all the joy away!
ReplyDeleteI might be able to do that except for that Louis Dean, those quads, and those letters!
DeleteI am in love with the jar of cookie cutters! I love Dottie Rambo's songs. Enjoy your break and God bless you.
ReplyDeleteGood answers to the challenge … I like the shapes and especially the grand finale---Piglet and the music.
ReplyDeleteYou're more than welcome to show up on our doorstep, smiles. I will be taking a break shortly here too....have a beautiful Friday Vee and thank you for the many smiles and giggles you have given. Blessings sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the challenge. Have never tried to take a photo "on the dot" but now that you mention it, I can see how it would be challenging.
ReplyDeleteYour collage will leave me smiling until we do see you again in September. In the meantime, enjoy your well-deserved break.
I love that shapes photo. That would have been a hard one for me to think of. You have a wonderful summer.
ReplyDeleteI adore the photo of Piglet sitting by the music page. Glenn was happy to be shown the picture of you, he still remembers the post where you busted him on drinking a soda in a tea room with me. LOL
ReplyDeleteAfternoon tea is at 3 pm, feel free to drop by any time - enjoy the rest of summer with your grands.
BTW, our Sam has been hiding a rubber snake and wooden alligator all over to scare his grandma and he manages to get me most times. The latest was a purchased tin of mints that I fell for and a thing popped out at me. :-)
I loved seeing all of your pictures. Have a good month off and see you back in September.
ReplyDeleteKathy, have been trying off and on to visit, but keep getting an error message that says that there is a problem and the page needs to reload, When it resolves, I'll be by!
DeleteWell I thoroughly enjoyed all of your photos.....and feel free to tip toe in whenever you'd like and leave the same way with no one the wiser...enjoy your break... I ESPECIALLY love that pic of you!
ReplyDeleteOK...dear one, we have a date in September...:) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love that photo of you! Your hair is so beautiful and has gotten so long. I read this post and last and realized I missed the drama! heehee! My visiting has slowed down while I create! I'm so glad you are here and I can visit any time I want! Sweet hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteOh la la, look at you, Vee :) Your hair is so long and pretty, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a lovely post and yes, see you in September....isn't that a song?? Hugs to you!
Don't you look cute with your long hair, Vee!
ReplyDeleteAnd dear Dottie Rambo, she was sure inspired in her song writing!
I hope your break is a time of refreshment in all ways. I wouldn't expect
you to visit, just enjoy your time away.
I'd not be able to keep myself away for too long, but I will try to refrain from commenting. Probably won't be able to do that for long, either.
DeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteSomehow we have missed all the storms here in my corner of NH....would love some rain. Loved looking at all of your photos. I'll let you know when I get the ice tea ready!!! Enjoy the rest of the summer Vee!
Linda

Linda, you are blessed. There have been microbursts somewhere in Maine daily for about a week...trees down, roofs ripped off, crops ruined...a real mess! We have had some storms here, but no microbursts here. I sure hope that you get some gentle rains.
DeleteEnjoy your August! September is always more fun anyway ;) You can sip ice tea at my table any time and I don't have a dog so no worries!
ReplyDeleteYou are in such blogging slo-mo that I'll be sure to pop by when I see a post.
DeleteWhich is the rude way to say that I find your infrequent posts very special and would not like to miss them. You have chosen wisely and I am already learning that I have, too. A blessed August to you!
DeleteGood to see you at the bottom of your collage! Love your last shots for the themes. I was just pondering 9 o'clock. What will happen is that at nine I'll be pondering something else and forget! Hope you have a wonderful August! You should see my house right now...or no you shouldn't. Piles of stuff everywhere from the kids moving in. Going to have to do some major re-organizing around here or I'll go off the edge...
ReplyDeleteI love the imagination you have shown in your photos...a contrail in the sky so far away you can't see it...really?? I would have never thought of anything so unique! Well, I do hope you enjoy your break and do hope to see you pop your head in from time to time...BUT totally understand if you don't! See you in September, Vee! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a compliment! I think. Thing is, you can see it if you look closely. I lie like a rug.
DeleteI love the way you cheat. It makes these photo challenge photos even more fun! I saw the "far away" just fine!
ReplyDeleteVee! When did you grow your hair long? It was so lovely to see you at the bottom of this post.
Have a most wonderful August and we'll see you in September!
Same old recession hair, Lovella. 😊
DeleteI immediately heard the song...See you in September....
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I stopped by today for a visit.....
Enjoy your time off.....
Love,
Mona
Vee, I so enjoyed your challenge photos and your unique perspective on some of the required topics! Enjoy your break and I'll be looking forward to your return in September.
ReplyDeleteYour long hair is absolutely beautiful. Do you get a perm or do you have all that beautiful curl naturally? I've always wanted naturally curly hair. ~ Your photos are a view into how very creative you are! ~ So glad to find you here today.
ReplyDeleteVee, I loved the photo of Piglet and the sheet music. The grands are the best decorators. ♥
ReplyDeleteReally great finds! You have done well on this challenge. I hope that you have a good August, see you in September! xx
ReplyDeleteAll your photos are delightful, especially Piglet. See you in September!
ReplyDeleteI am loving your long hair!
ReplyDeleteRemember we love you and your haven and don't forget to come back! You are welcome in my kitchen any day or night, feel free to find a snack, eat a peach, drink some raspberry iced tea!
Have a delightful break!
Deanna
Enjoyed all your photos. I have some cookie cutters in a jar like that too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break, but I will miss you.
Nice pics. So happy to hear you're just taking a hiatus. That was a scary moment ... [whew]
ReplyDelete*lol*
Have a nice August gal! ~:)
My favorite picture was seeing your smiling face at the very end!! I totally get taking a break, I never seem to be able to keep up.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of the summer Vee; maybe you can read some of those books! xo Deborah
Wow! I love your longer hair! Almost did not recognize you! Enjoy the month of August! Maine is still tentative. I really am wanting to go.
ReplyDeleteA break is almost always a good thing, isn't it? Time to step back...ponder...rest...regroup...recharge. I pray that yours is filled with joy and encouragement! Of course, we'll miss you! We always miss our friends when they're away. But we want good things for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic selfie...your hair is lovely!! (Do you find that it's easier to take care of when it's long?)
I think you have met the challenge in a fine way!! it has been lots of fun...but I must confess that I am willing to let my camera sit still for a few days and not need to think about what's next.
Hello, Lovely images. I like the cookie cutters and piglet. Enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I have a hard time getting a comment to publish here and a few other places! Okay, I was saying that I enjoyed seeing your photos for the challenge, your hair is pretty, and we'll miss seeing you this month. I think that's all! See you in September...love that song...enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteThey are all great. Love little piglet!
ReplyDeleteLove all the photos Vee, the photo of you especially, you look like a college student, I love your hair this length, I tried growing mine longer last year, but to no avail, I have been thinking of trying it this fall and winter!goodness knows if it would make me look younger, I am on board!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this time to refresh, see you soon🎶💕😊
Love,
Sue
I am typing this on my new IPad,(a birthday gift from one of my sons) I hope it works on this post!
Have a happy August Vee!!! Love the picture of you and all the fun comments you always post. Hugs....
ReplyDeleteLove all the photos...if I could take good ones, I would have participated! XOXO
ReplyDeleteHi Vee~
ReplyDeleteYou will be missed! I know how necessary a break is . . . I take plenty . . . ;0)
Your photos have all been so beautiful, and like some of the others, I loved seeing your picture - your hair is so much longer than that last time I saw a photo of you, I love it!!
See you in September!
Hugs,
Barb
Good photo illustrations, Vee! Challenges are alwasy just that and you did well!
ReplyDeleteI will miss seeing your posts during August but I understand wanting to hold on to summer and enjoy it as much as possible. This season seems to pass the quickest of them all!
You did well, my friend! That kind of cheating is ingenious! Long hair? How did that happen overnight? I'm thinking you can't have posted too many selfies since I last saw you! It looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I am singing along with 'the Four Seasons'...see you in September!
I really enjoyed these July posts, Vee.
ReplyDeleteOh and You Can't Take it With You is an excellent movie :)
I hope you enjoy your time off!
xo,
rue
I enjoyed your choices to finish off July's challenge along with your humour. You will be missed but I hope you tiptoe into my kitchen and put the kettle on for tea some day. Hugs to you and John. Enjoy your August break! xo
ReplyDeleteHey, Vee....:) xoxo
ReplyDeleteVee, what a delight! Sometimes it's not even the end result as the doing of it that makes for the fun and joy in a project. I think you must have had fun...
ReplyDeleteEspecially enjoyed the lovely pic of you nestled right in the bottom collection. You have a face that makes me want to draw nearer and get to know you better. Underneath must beat a lovely heart too!
Wishing you a beautiful day...
Brenda
xox
Missing you. Looking forward to September. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, and I loved Dottie Rambo.
I can't believe that August is half gone. This summer is simply speeding by.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the weekend,
Amalia
xo
Truly wonderful. thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteNice collection of July photos. I especially like the one of you in the bottom of the collage, and I think you're wearing the yellow headband I made you. Nice to see a whole picture of you, you're getting braver! Abby
ReplyDeleteWow! It's already August 17 and I'm just getting around to commenting on the last of the photo-a-day challenge posts! Busy schedules and computer issues didn't help matters at all!
ReplyDeleteAll of your photos are excellent! They fit the themes well. I love Piglet sitting on the piano. Sweet.
I can not believe how fast the summer has gone by. It's been so hectic, but I feel not very productive, although, we did get the tree house finished for the grands. Enjoyed your photos and timeline, XOXO
ReplyDeleteHi Vee, I see that you're taking the month of August off -- I don't blame you. I've only been around sporadically for the last few months, so I'm trying to get back into a normal blogging routine. Believe it or not, I can see the faraway contrail in your picture (my husband always calls me Eagle-Eye). :) I, too, love the photos with "shapes" and I also like the cloud photo. Your collage review is so nice, and I almost forgot -- I LOVE your pretty garage and the American flag flying there.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to be visiting your blog again, as it is always one of my favorites. Thank you very kindly for your visits recently -- they're appreciated more than you know! I hope you're having a wonderful month off and spending lots of time with family! :)
Warmest wishes,
Denise at Forest Manor
Interesting. Our July was he hottest on record. However lots of wind and tropical style rain since. Catching up with you Vee. Hope you are well.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time since I have visited. Life seems to have gotten in the way. But just wanted you to know how much fun it has been to look at your post. You certainly have put a smile on my face this morning.
ReplyDeleteI always love your humour dear Vee.
ReplyDeleteSpot the vapour trail - I could see it - j u s t!!!!
Some great images in your mosaic - the one of John sitting on the step in the sun and Piglet are my faves!
Now September is here in my far flung corner of the world - I'll look forward to popping over again and catching up with your news!
A lovely photo of you too Vee!
Happy September - it's Spring for me and Autumn for you!
Hugs
Shane
