A lovely, quick read...

Lots of gorgeous reds this year. Is it an exceptional foliage year in your corner, too?

  1. Good Morning! Oh, how I love these pretty Autumn scenes. Georgia is just beginning to see fall color. Our coolest morning temp so far is 54 degrees.
I wish you a very nice day, Vee.

  2. What a beautiful montage with the glorious colour of Autumn. It is certainly beginning to look a little like that over here too but sadly dreary due to the overcast skies and rain. Have a wonderful weekend.

  3. I noticed while driving in to school yesterday how all of sudden the colors have popped up. Hoping to take a drive this weekend and take photos. Enjoyed yours, Vee. Keeping you in prayer.

  4. just hints at this point..
but with the promise of full color.
we're expecting a 3 day storm so the rain
and wind could remove every vestige of autumn
color possible, leaving us with a faint and brief
memory of what we know (in Northern California)
    as autumn. wink. {{{beautiful color in your parts}}}

  9. Beautiful. We are just now seeing more changes. We had so much rain this year and more heat than usual so our leaf change is late happening. Yours are gorgeous photos! xo Diana

  10. A beautiful post of pictures today, Vee. Yes, the colors here in Colorado have been exceptional both in the Rocky Mountains and here in the foothills. Loving every moment of it because as we all know, it would take only one wet, heavy snowstorm for most of the leaves to be taken from us.

I also like the French door (or is it just a window) you have leaning against the porch wall. Your decorating style, both inside and out of the house is always a delight to see.

  11. A beautiful collage of colours Vee. Yes, our corner is stunning this year. However, the wind of Monday and again today is removing the colour kind of fast. I don't like the bare branch stage that we'll see for the next 8 month though!!

  13. They say the Asheville area of NC will be beautiful this year. Peak season is end of October. I am heading there tomorrow. Hopefully I will see some color. I was there last weekend and it hadn't started yet. Your area looks beautiful!

  14. I love seeing how each state is uniquley different when it comes to fall. We have a lot of Aspen trees here so our main color is golden yellow with a touch of bright orange :)

Your autumn is stunning, my friend. Enjoy the remaining colors. Hugs!

  15. Wow, wow, and more wow, Vee! Your area is so beautiful! Fall doesn't arrive in Texas for awhile yet, and even then, it's not quite that spectacular. Enjoy all that beauty!

  16. How beautiful! We are quite a bit behind you and things are just getting started in northeast Ohio...Our weather is weird and it's supposed to be in the '80s next week.

  17. Truly beautiful pictures, every one! I loved the glimpse of the school bus in the autumn leaves, and the gorgeous colors. We have had a lovely season of fall here, sadly it is probably over after these storms barrel through us. Hope you have a lovely weekend Vee :)

  18. yes, the reds are stunning and plentiful this year. it's not quite peak yet, but i've been enjoying them on a few day trips the last two days, especially in that "magic hour" of light in the late afternoon. have to do a lot of yardwork tomorrow, or i'd be out on the road again, leaf-peeping. also glad our farmers are getting a run of nice days to get the beans in, etc. --suz in northeast ohio

  20. A truly beautiful collage of the exceptional fall color in your area. The trees are just beginning to change here. I will be paying special attention to see if the reds steal the show.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Autumn Manifesto. Making a mental note to enjoy many of the suggestions on the list. It makes me happy to think of you enjoying your tea at 3:30 and sewing again.

  21. Oh the colors are gorgeous. Waiting here for our foliage to start. I think it is beginning, as I have spotted a few changes just down the road. I might get to take a quick trip and see later on this month. It just depends on how my mom is doing.

  23. We never see as much colour as you folks out in the east. I think we hit our peak this past week. Today the wind came up and blew all kinds of leaves onto the deck. And they aren't our leaves! Another system, even stronger, moves in tomorrow so we'll see what that blows in!
Your photos are ever so pretty. Hope you are able to find time to enjoy the beautiful autumn colours.

  24. Vee,

I enlarged the photos, they are so, so pretty. All the reds! We don't get much of that as opposed to the brown and yellow of maples and oaks. Fall is definitely beautiful in your neck of the woods!

  26. So far not a lot of color here in Michigan yet. We haven't had a frost yet though and I sometimes think you see the real color until the trees get that little nip.
