Two sunny days in a row...we're on a roll up here. 😂 This rain has become almost more than one gal can take, but I know that I am not alone and that many corners are getting an excess of spring showers.

That said, I'm popping in a few springy photos taken yesterday. I was with my dad and we had a good day. Lots of fun conversation and lots of bird watching.

Lovely spring scenes from your corner, Vee. So nice that you were able to a good day with your dad. With your fondness for yellow, I think the daffodils and goldfinches must be especially welcome sights to you right about now.
ReplyDelete**Have** a good day..
DeleteVery pretty, Vee. It looks like rain is on the horizon yet again for here in western NY. sigh.
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful day friend.
Yes, days and days of rain... Hang tough!
DeleteGood Morning, Vee. Glad you and your Dad had a nice day. I love the scenes you have shared: especially the house on the hill and the church. The goldfinches are so pretty and fun to watch. Wishing you a nice day.
ReplyDeleteSpring is looking beautiful your way. Love that daffodil that shot right through the leaves. Yes we have had excess rain here causing delays in our house building.
ReplyDeletePretty "word light" pictures Vee! Spring has sprung over here too and we are told that more sogginess is on it's way - sigh. Love your random thought about Winston Churchill - or is that a quote from somewhere?
ReplyDeleteOh I hope that homely comparison is not a quote anywhere. 🤓
DeleteAfter days and days of rain, sunshine is a gift that is relished. Not to self: sometimes it takes doing without a thing to really see it as the gift that it is.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to have enjoyed that beautiful spring day with your dad! Love the Mr. Churchill finch. :) Wishing you more glorious springtime days!
How wonderful to get such a beautiful Spring day whilst spending it with your Dad. The photos of the birds were a delight.
ReplyDeleteOh Vee, your photos are so lovely. I really like the photo of the bicycle behind the large tree. And the goldfinch--so colorful. Daffodils galore--I'm so glad Spring has arrived to your Haven. ♥
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty pictures. We see concrete and a little bit of green here. It was nice to see all the nature.
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed your beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are all lovely. Glad you had a good day with your day.
ReplyDeleteWe've had lots of rain but just as much sun too during a day. It changes from hour to hour.
I've never regretted time spent watching goldfinch.
ReplyDeleteHappy Day to you Dear Vee. Loved all the pictures. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteSoo pretty! Glad you were able to enjoy such a gloriously beautiful sunshiny day with your dad! Happy May to you too!
ReplyDeleteSpring is looking beautiful in your corner. A sunny day is one to savour. We have one today, too, and I can hardly bear not being out in the garden. Those goldfinches are so pretty. It's always amazing to me how the first shoots upwards in the spring can spear dead leaves like that daffodil has done.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good day with your dad.
Lovely, lovely photos you have shared here, Vee...you really are a photographer at heart, aren't you? You have a great eye for composition! The "setting" is so very peaceful and I could watch those little finches all day long. What a beautiful day to visit you dad.
ReplyDeleteLovely spring day for a drive at your place,we are getting cold rain on our
ReplyDeletespring flowers today. Hope your Dad is well and happy.
Thank you for a lovely May Day Post. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteYou live in such a beautiful place, Vee! I saw two yellow birds zipping around my yard yesterday. I think they were oriels but they might have been finches. So pretty, either way!
ReplyDeleteYay for sunshine!
Beautiful photos of a lovely day, Vee. I could be envious ... you mentioned two sunny days in a row. Our Wednesday was not sunny except for a few moments at a time -- otherwise it was cloudy with periods of rain.
ReplyDeleteThis sunshine is good for the soul. Glad you got some and we got some, too. Good days with our aging fathers are a good thing. Love the birds!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty. It looks like spring. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteVee. So glad you had a great day with your dad. That sunshine is so up lifting. I am ready to see some around these parts. Wonderful pictures. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteOh, those winding roads are beautiful, Vee, and everything is so green. All the rain we've had I'm sure. How great to be out and about with your dad...sounds like a great day!

I love your finches and little sparrow. Glad you got out for a ride! It feels so great and it's fun for us to see your corner of the world! No rain here...and we need it desperately. Enjoy your day! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to get out with your dad for a fun drive. I sure enjoyed seeing your scenes along the way and at home. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLovely lovely promising photos--spring is in the air there and there is so much green!
ReplyDeleteSo, it's 47 degrees and GLOOMY down here in the deep south today (nope, not kidding!), so I am happy for you with the sunshine! Hopefully, you can string together a few of those days. I loved the photos of the daffodils from today's post. Feels like virtual sunshine! And, the photos here in this post of the landscapes and birds are AH!mazing. :) Spring is definitely upon you!
ReplyDeleteAlas, the sun was shortlived. We have 11 days of rain to get through before we see the sun again IF we are to believe the weather reports. Yes, it is chilly. Sorry that the cold reaches so far south. Brrrr...
DeleteSure is good to not see snow anymore isn't it? It took a turn here for the cold and wet this past week. We have sunshine today, but still cold, in the 40's. I get comfy around 60 as long as there is no wind. Enjoy the blooms as they appear!
