A chrysanthemum by any other name would be a lot easier to spell.

Only two of these are mine, but that doesn't stop me from taking photos of mums wherever I find them. They are so gorgeous this year!

Lovely and colorful! Hope you have a nice evening.
ReplyDeleteMums remind me of Homecoming from my high school days. There were always mum corsages for for sale for the guys to buy for their girlfriends. I enjoyed them from afar...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous chrysanthemums!
ReplyDeleteMums is a better name for them much easier to spell.
ReplyDeleteMerle....... ........... .......
I love to take pictures of the mums at the nursery as there are so many colours to choose from. Pretty. Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe quote made me smile and so did the mums :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collage. Vee!
ReplyDeleteLast year I planted 3 different small mum plants I bought at Trader Joe's. They were on the table and then went to the garden. They are now about 2 feet across and are just opening. Two are yellow flowers and the third looks like pink tips. They should be fully open in a few days to tell me the color.
ReplyDeleteI too love mums.
Beautiful collage.
I love mums too. What a beautiful mosaic of these gorgeous blooms. Love the quote too. :)
ReplyDeleteVee,
ReplyDeleteYou and I had the same idea! I had my post on mums all ready to go when I saw yours...they really are the flowers for fall, aren't they? You know what they say about great minds!! Have a great week :)
I can't wait to buy a couple to enjoy! I wonder what colors you chose. I usually get at least one dark red! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteMums are a pretty fall flower and come in so many colours now. Do you plant yours in the ground to keep them going? I used to do this but prefer to have fresh busy plants each fall.

ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous indeed Vee! They add such beautiful color to compliment the fall colors of nature. My fav is the dark rich ruby ones but I love them all. Your photography is quite incredible these days. Nice job!

ReplyDeleteMums are so pretty to have on the doorstep. I have a couple of pots out front and one in the back. It's nice to have color as everything is on the wane. Robert Savage had the right idea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a circus of colour! Love the mums...whether they are yours or not.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and colorful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThey compliment autumn tree colors perfectly. And they come back faithfully each year here. I buy the "inside" and "outside" one and both are planted outside and do just great.
ReplyDeleteLoved that post you did on your close encounter with the moose!
DeleteBeautiful! I love mums. I bought a few pots of them this past week. I am waiting for them to bud out a little more, so I can take a picture.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos of mums. They make such a pretty collage. Visiting from Mosaic Monday and new GFC follower. Hope you'll visit!

ReplyDeleteOoh, so pretty! I love Fall flowers in bloom.
ReplyDeleteI love mums. I noticed that this year they had pink ones. Not purple but true pink!
ReplyDeleteVee, I love mums too. I have been meaning to buy a few for my front steps. I'm afraid I am not very good at keeping them healthy though. I think I have too much sunshine.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your new header!!! It's perfect, just perfect!
ReplyDeleteI haven't bought one mum yet. At the rate that I'm going it will probably Thanksgiving before I get one!
Time will tell:)
Such lovely photos...and the quote at the top is so funny!
ReplyDeleteThose colors are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI too, love the quote at the top of the post!
Deanna
It's always so hard to choose colors when I buy these beauties in the nursery-- they're my fall favorites !
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do with your mums? I've always planted mine, but haven't any place to do so now. For that reason, I haven't bought any this year. I think it's time to move.
