Brrrrrr...
Saying goodbye to the garden...
The small azalea above seems to be doing well, but the large one below looks upset.
Jack Frost strikes again...
Too cold, I'm going in...
Where I find Fioré cozying up to a good book. This reminds me to thank you for reading yesterday and commenting. Special thanks to Kristi, NanaDiana, and Cheryl for recommending specific books. I'm on it!
Have a great Tuesday...
What gorgeous photography! Might as well make good use of the frost, huh? ;)
ReplyDeleteLooks like Fioré has the right idea today! A most cozy day to you, Vee!
Beautiiful (but kinda sad) photos. I have been waiting for a heavy frost to get some photos here in NC where I live. So far...not much frost...but it's a comin'...sooner probably than later :)
ReplyDeleteOh so sad when this day comes along. Fiore has the right idea :).
ReplyDeleteVery cute pumpkins lined up along your rail.
I didn't have time yesterday to read through your post. Will have to go back and do so later today.
Stay warm.
Great pictures of the frost,,,but I am not ready for Jack to be sticking around! There is snow on the ground here and I don't know that I really like it!!! Have a great day Vee...stay warm.
ReplyDeleteOH- yeah- It is full blown Fall here, too, Vee. We are in the 20's at night now-high in the 40's. However, Halloween Day is supposed to be 62 with low of 45. Can't wait. It's like God is gonna smile on those little kids just one last warm Fall day- xo Diana
ReplyDeleteSUCH good pictures! And this California gal soo appreciates it when other bloggers share their frost and snow pictures....soo pretty! We did get a little rain yesterday which was nice, but the sun appears to be out and shinning again today. Suppose to be around 75! Enjoy your day Vee, and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteOh I am sorry! Saying goodbye to the garden of 2013 is not easy. I went for a walk yesterday and was amazed at how beautiful bedding plants still are. It is 4 Celsius here this morning and clear so we are not that far behind.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was cold this morning walking the dog! I'll have to go back and look for more book recommendations from your last post.
ReplyDeleteJudith
Good morning. Your frost pictures are simply stunning. I looked and looked at that first one and then saw that there were more good ones. And thanks for the comment about your comments as I went back and read the book recs which I will write down. And lastly, are you changing your header frequently or have I just not taken it all in? That pic of the plates on the fence is so sweet -- it is just such a nice header. Maybe it's the same one your friend set up for you, but let's just say, if that's the case, that I am just admiring it all again! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of the frosted plants. Even the droopy roses look pretty. We're expecting thunderstorms & lots of rain today & tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol
My gosh, these are spectacular pictures! Still wondering where our frost is! I enjoyed yesterday's post very much!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Lovely glimpses of frost. We had a slight frost here, too, but mainly on the top of trash cans. Waiting a bit longer for the sun to warm the leaves up before I mow them. Have a lovely cozy day!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the frost has found your corner of New England too~~ Your rhododendron does look a bit depressed about the change in temperature! ha ha ! Kitty has the right idea, just needs a cup of tea and the scene will be complete!
ReplyDeleteIt's not so cold here, Vee! It might even get up to 80! I received both of your posts together... todays and yesterday's.
ReplyDeleteYour frost pictures are great! I love the one of the roses. We had our first frost the other night and my basil is now dead....
ReplyDeleteI am just blown away by your pictures! The first one, especially. What an array of color. Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how you caught the frost in the photos. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI see you have your pumpkins lined up in a row, LOL! Lovely, just lovely...
ReplyDeleteA frosty morning here on the west coast too, but now the sunshine is slowly warming things up!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Nadine

ReplyDeleteEnjoyed yesterday's post, too.
Oh, it's the end of the summer blooms for sure Vee. How sad to see it go. I love your photos of the frosted edges of the leaves and flowers. They are so pretty. Fiore takes after his 'mama'. :) (reading good books I mean)
ReplyDeleteOh Vee, your photography is beautiful! Forget about frost here...we're headed straight for snow :) Have a good afternoon!
ReplyDeleteOh wow!! You really did get a frost! How cold is it there now? We are warming up to the 70's once again..
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures..and the way you interpret nature and your world through photography..

Vee, love your frosty pictures! It hasn't been quite that cold here yet but I know it will be before I know it. Books are extra wonderful on frosty days!

ReplyDeleteThe roses in my yard aren't looking so good anymore.
ReplyDeleteI love these cold mornings though. So clear and crisp this morning.
Such pretty photos but I don't like the cold weather! Fiore is so very sweet. Have a pleasant evening.
ReplyDeleteLove the photos, the first one looks like a painting! Frosty morning indeed. Stay warm. xo
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteI Love your photos, especially the leaf with the jack frost. You are so good at capturing the mood of frost. Your chair with your cat and book look so cozy, another thing you are good at.
Have a beautiful evening.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Vee! I love the color of the azalea leaves in the first image. It's a rather BITTERSWEET time of year, isn't it, in more ways than one?
