You know what they say about eating dessert first, life being uncertain and all? Yesterday, we had just such a day: cinnamon waffles for breakfast, pumpkin pancakes for lunch, and blueberry clafouti for supper.
I'm sparing you all the embarrassment of not knowing how to pronounce that last one...click on it and hear the pronunciation. Let's just say that John's eyes widened when I told him what we were eating for supper. ;D
Alice at Tea in My Cup is responsible for my having the bright idea about Pumpkin Pancakes. I'm sorry that there are no pictures, but they didn't come out pretty — just tasty!
Oh, oh, oh, about the clafouti; if you've never tried it, you MUST today! Your family will thank you. D.e.l.i.c.i.o.u.s. You can find the recipe at Suzanne's on her August 26 post.
We're planning a much anticipated picnic for this evening's sunset. More about that tomorrow.
Hope that you have some fun plans for today, too! Please tell me what they are!

My meals were a little on the desserty side yesterday as well! Fresh fruit, yogurt & granola for breakfast...and peach crepes for supper (we had a healthy lunch though...veggies and meat included). That clafouti looks yummy...I think I'll give it a try.
ReplyDeleteWell that sounds like my kind of day, Vee! Yum-O!
ReplyDeleteGood idea with the pronunciation link --I need something like that for everyday words too--lol--you wouldn't belive my Brooklyn accent!
I've made pumpkin pancakes and they are good! I'll go and check out the clafouti recipe --I love blueberries!
Will today be an all veggie day? :-)
Hugs, Pat

Yummy. If I could..I'd eat dessert all the time. Especially now with the high stress of our "little" water problem. Would love to have an evening picnic! Sounds so relaxing and romantic!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and yours,
And here I just blogged about being on a diet today! Your meals look alot more fun than my diet! Yummo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a yummy post! My plans are to finish up the project I told you about and to check out real estate in a town 45 minutes away. There may be a move in my near future. Not sure how I feel about that. Have a lovely picnic!
ReplyDeleteYou had to do that today, just when I am trying to diet. I need to drop a few pounds before an upcoming trip. That whatever-it-is in the picture looks good enough to eat... and if you would please pass it through the computer, I would be most obliged. LOL...
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday,
Christi

Yum! I make a cherry clafouti but I'm sure blueberries would be delicious too. I'm going to try it next week when my husband is home on vacation.
