It was lovely being out early this morning taking photos in the yard. Nothing like cherry tomatoes ripening on the vine, dew dripping from the
etched clematis columbine leaves, and sunlight on the morning glories (though I am not as pleased with the color of the morning glories this year as I was with the blue of last year for this reason: these could just as easily be wave petunias as they are not particularly distinctive). The blooms in the front garden are nearly done — white phlox, a few yellow lilies, and a couple of knock-out roses are all the perennials that remain. Perhaps I'll plug in a few mums in autumn. Time moves on...

ReplyDeleteI think your mosaic is beautiful
and the colours are lovely
Have a great week
Rain expected here and lots of it:(
Isn't it strange the way some countries have so much and others are crying out for it....

Beautiful colors in the early morning, and I like how you framed your mosaic! Yes autumn is around the corner!
ReplyDeleteYour early morning mosaic is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love those TOMATOES! sandie
ReplyDeleteI want some of the tomatoes! They looks delicious. I have pink morning glories and I've discovered once you have morning glories, you always have them. they are taking over. I'll take your blues if you take my pinks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteHello Vee
ReplyDeleteEarly morning strolls are when the garden truly belongs to us, isn't it? I know leaf miners are considered a pest but they make the nicest etchings on plant leaves; a form of nature's art perhaps.

Lovely shots from your morning garden walk. I do the same walking around my yard checking out my flowers and plants. Lovely photos, thanks for sharing. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.
ReplyDeleteSummer seems to fly by so quickly. But what pretty colours remain in your garden, even if the morning glory is not quite up to her usual brilliance.
ReplyDeleteSummer was so horribly hot, as much as I hate to see it end I can't help but be glad.
ReplyDeleteWhat I am NOT ready for is fall colours - haven't had enough summer and not going there yet. Nope, not me.
Love your mosaic.
A very pretty mosaic of your garden. Everything looks so pretty and green still.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Grandson liked the lego store and granddaughter liked the coach store. :-D
Vee, Your garden photos are lovely. I have the purple morning glories too...last year I had a sky blue colored one, perhaps as you did. I thought they were striking. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI see red tomatoes. Awesome collage. Thanks for sharing.

Your garden looks bright and beautiful, Vee!
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for that first hint of autumn to arrive in the air...most likely it will happen soon!
Wonderful mosaic of such beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteHi Vee! Happy Monday to ya! Wow, still getting tomatoes are you? I had to buy some at the store yesterday and they've lost that lovely summer flavor - at least the ones from the grocery did. Bleh... Pretty pictures - I happen to like your morning glories. I guess it's just so hot here, I've tried a couple of years to have them, and they always croak.
ReplyDeleteI missed the names post - that was sweet!
Even your photos feel quiet like the morning...
ReplyDeleteEarly morning is the very best time of day.
ReplyDeleteEarly morning holds such promise, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteYour garden and your yard are so beautifully green! I will pretend that it is 67° there, and I will pull up a chair and have my first cup of coffee outside surrounded by all of that green. (Please don't burst my bubble and tell me that it is 80° and humid.)
I am Green with envy over the green in your lawn! Our lawn is so brown and dry that we haven't had to mow very much this season. Your mosaic is very pretty. The cherry tomatoes look good.
ReplyDeleteTotally lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Really pretty mosaic, Vee.
ReplyDeleteAnd...what a beautiful green your lawn is. *sigh
Beautiful! Makes me miss my mom's where we had the loveliest garden...
ReplyDeleteLovely mosaic. Early morning, my favorite time of day. : )
ReplyDeleteLovely and colorful mosaic Vee! At least it is cooler in the early morning hours!
ReplyDeleteHI Vee, always wonderful to pop into your blog and see what you are up to. Early morning must surely be the best time of day to be up with a camera. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteI love the early-morning-outdoor feeling...but it doesn't happy nearly often enough over here! Nice mosaic.
ReplyDeleteYour mosaics are always creative. You have discovered a way to always add something with a special interest.
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that I'm not the only one thinking of mums!
