Early Morning Photos~Mosaic Monday

It was lovely being out early this morning taking photos in the yard. Nothing like cherry tomatoes ripening on the vine, dew dripping from the etched clematis columbine leaves, and sunlight on the morning glories (though I am not as pleased with the color of the morning glories this year as I was with the blue of last year for this reason: these could just as easily be wave petunias as they are not particularly distinctive). The blooms in the front garden are nearly done — white phlox, a few yellow lilies, and a couple of knock-out roses are all the perennials that remain. Perhaps I'll plug in a few mums in autumn. Time moves on...

Join Mary at Little Red House to see more mosaics. They're always so neat.

    and the colours are lovely

    Have a great week

Rain expected here and lots of it:(

Isn't it strange the way some countries have so much and others are crying out for it....

  4. I want some of the tomatoes! They looks delicious. I have pink morning glories and I've discovered once you have morning glories, you always have them. they are taking over. I'll take your blues if you take my pinks!

  5. Hello Vee
Early morning strolls are when the garden truly belongs to us, isn't it? I know leaf miners are considered a pest but they make the nicest etchings on plant leaves; a form of nature's art perhaps.

  6. Lovely shots from your morning garden walk. I do the same walking around my yard checking out my flowers and plants. Lovely photos, thanks for sharing. Wishing you a wonderful week ahead.

  7. Summer seems to fly by so quickly. But what pretty colours remain in your garden, even if the morning glory is not quite up to her usual brilliance.

  8. Summer was so horribly hot, as much as I hate to see it end I can't help but be glad.

What I am NOT ready for is fall colours - haven't had enough summer and not going there yet. Nope, not me.

    Love your mosaic.

  14. Hi Vee! Happy Monday to ya! Wow, still getting tomatoes are you? I had to buy some at the store yesterday and they've lost that lovely summer flavor - at least the ones from the grocery did. Bleh... Pretty pictures - I happen to like your morning glories. I guess it's just so hot here, I've tried a couple of years to have them, and they always croak.

I missed the names post - that was sweet!

  17. Early morning holds such promise, doesn't it?
Your garden and your yard are so beautifully green! I will pretend that it is 67° there, and I will pull up a chair and have my first cup of coffee outside surrounded by all of that green. (Please don't burst my bubble and tell me that it is 80° and humid.)

  18. I am Green with envy over the green in your lawn! Our lawn is so brown and dry that we haven't had to mow very much this season. Your mosaic is very pretty. The cherry tomatoes look good.
