Not entirely successful, though definitely interesting...
Did you already find the first mosaic I did? I hadn't included one of my favorite photos so it was redone. Having spent so much time on the first, I included it in the final. Now I have both!
I must show you the apothecary lid on its own because the soft colors the glass picked up in the afternoon light are lovely to me.

A sweet August week to you...
I did find your previous Mosaic in your current one. This one is excellent too.
ReplyDeleteThis is fun! (And I did find the previous Mosaic), Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteVery nice and a fun idea taking photos from your perch.
ReplyDeleteHow fun seeing little snippets around the room! Love John's foot....
ReplyDeleteI also found the first mosaic you created, what a fun idea. Taking various photos in one room and creating a collage. Well done. Have a happy week ahead.
ReplyDeleteClever you! I like that slice of real life, up-to-the-minute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun experiment! I might have to try that sometime from my favorite outdoor perch. Love the red flowers.
ReplyDeleteWow, I do love your photo mosiac! You certainly have a fun blog. I am enjoying visiting! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThis is like a "day in the life' type of mosaic--fun! LOL -- I spied John's foot/shoe! We're home now --whew--the last day of driving was tiring!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great snaps for your mosaic. I think we need to be considerate too.
ReplyDeleteThe pink like colored tomatoes taste pretty much the same. Shaped a little different too.
Have a lovely week.

The French Hutch
Love this. I've done it too. It should be a photo challenge some time! Four notecards from your most comfortable chair, or some such. Your pics are good and good for you not to photograph your husband snoring!
ReplyDeleteYou have a good view of everything from your recliner! lol What a fun mosaic! Wouldn't he be more comfortable if he kicked those shoes off though? heehee!
ReplyDeleteFun mosaic! A mosaic in a mosaic :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty apothecary!
A very fun way to stretch yourself as a photographer! I love the results.
ReplyDeleteTook me for awhile to find the foot hehehe. I have not done like this I well sometime it does look very pretty. Thanks for the visit, Vee I do appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteKim,USA
this is so interesting and a neat idea to try - I think I'll give it a try..
ReplyDeleteHugs
You come up with the best and cutest ideas......love the mosaic.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Always lovely! If it's from VEE - it's GOT to be LOVELY!!
ReplyDeleteYou take such wonderful photos. I never slow down long enough to capture the beauty all around me, though I am aware of it.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these lovely photos with us, Vee!
Deanna
I love the thought of sitting in my recliner and noticing the things that I normally don't. Maybe I should do just that!
ReplyDeleteI. Love. This.
ReplyDeleteWhat an inspired idea to create a mosaic of glimpses of beauty right there...and there IS so much beauty around you, Vee!
I deem it a success!
(I am intrigued by the thick book about E.B. White. Is it a good read?)
What a wonderful mosaic - it works beautifully - and what a fabulous room. I love the apothecary jar!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was what a pretty mosaic. My second was, he would be more comfortable without his shoes on for his nap! I'm not sure why but my eye is drawn to the picture with the door lock. Very nice! Your apothecary jar is pretty too!
ReplyDeleteGreat mosaic and I love the color of your apothecary.
ReplyDelete~Clara
Wow, that is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow clever Vee to have a mosaic within a mosaic! You're right, lots of interesting things to see from your perch.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one that will take naps; unfortunately our daughter snapped me one day and threatens to find out ow to post it on my blog.
Judith
Right in the middle!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for your mosaic. Love how it turned out.
2 mosaics?
ReplyDeleteI only see one mosaic.
And one lovely apothecary lid.
"Auntie"
Oh Vee,
ReplyDeleteThat mosaic is wonderful. That's a fun idea to snap what's nearby. That last photo of your apothecary lid is gorgeous. Perfect lighting.
I have been dancing around getting the new Lightroom software from Adobe. That's the new flavor in town, but it paints dreamy lighting effects.
Make a notecard of that apothecary photo, it's lovely.
Karen
I love this! How clever to have a mosaic within a mosaic. I hope you don't mind, but I foresee many kopykats in the near future, myself being one of them!!
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteI love your mosaic. The books look so pretty and my eye caught your cream and black crochet blanket, love it!. Mosaic's are such a fun idea and fun to look at too.
Have a sweet week,
Elizabeth
You have all kinds of neat things to see from your "perch". :D I just looked around - nope don't think I will do that.:D
ReplyDeleteI love it Vee! So much of interest within the reach of your camera lens. Really, quite a clever idea. Love the jar. Mercury glass is a favorite of mine.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jann
You got all that from the porch? Wow...I'd love to be sitting out there with you...great Mosaic today Vee...

Sandi
Pretty creative I'd say! I always enjoy your pictures.
ReplyDeleteOn the previous post... don't you miss Paul Harvey?? I sure do.
Happy Monday Vee!
I would not have thought to do this...but I love it!
ReplyDeleteWow! The glass is so pretty.
Great post. Glad you let that sweet man of yours get a good sleep. smile....
Now, this is a mosaic that really speaks. I love your way of thinking, Vee....
ReplyDeleteand you are a sweetie for staying as still as a church mouse while taking photos from your perch and letting J. get his zzzzz's.
I do enjoy your mosaics, but always feel a little frustrated because I'm the kind of person who wants to read the title of every book on your shelves or in your photos and my eyes aren't good enough to always do this anymore! But I do enjoy the homelike ambiance you achieve!
ReplyDeleteHi Vee!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - I will have to try doing that . . . maybe next Monday!! I love the colors in the apothecary lid too, very soft and cool looking!
Hugs,
Barb
I'd say it was a win-win all around! You took pretty photos, you were considerate of John still dozing, and you got to keep you butt parked!
ReplyDeleteI hope your husband appreciates your 'consideration' :) Your perch mosaic turned out great and I do love that apothecary lid. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHi Vee!
ReplyDeleteSkipping back to answer your question. The pictures were taken in June and July. The flowers at the bottom are, Indian Painbrush. The bloom in June in Idaho . . . I'm not sure if they grow in the East? The baby Dove, was just starting to fly, and we were putting him back in the tree to protect him from the dog... :0) Barn and horse in July!
Hugs,
Barb
Someone is having lots and lots of fun this summer! ~smile~
ReplyDeleteGreat job as always!
Hugs,
Sue
What fun!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the mosaic, I might try that sometime. Just so you know I really looked, I notice you have the same image in all four corners, and the center one is a photo of the photo. Does your husband know you photographed his foot while he was napping. ~ Abby
ReplyDeleteI must not know what I'm looking for bc I couldn't find it! But your photos do look lovely! And I really enjoyed the Paul Harvey commentary from the previous post!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and you mosiac.. Am a new follower. Come visit and follow me also. Love the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteCindy
A mosaic within a mosaic - fun idea! And what a great exercise. I'd say you did very well snapping photos from your chair.
ReplyDeleteI see you are a fan of E.B. White - but I already knew that. I love snooping on bookshelves.
A mosaic within a mosaic...very creative! Oh...I see I'm repeating Lorrie's comment. Not very creative!
ReplyDeleteWhat is a nap? I can not remember the last time I had a nap. I should try it sometime.
Happy August to you too!
well I must say you have ended up with a lovely collection of images from your "perch" - certainly an interesting project and an insight into your world! Have a wonderful week. Linking up through Mosaic Monday.
ReplyDeleteGreat mosaic Vee! It's amazing what one can see from one's 'perch' on the couch or in a favorite chair. I like the pic of John's shoe. :)
