The Morning After the Storm
It's so still, so white, so lovely, and I'm sure quite boring for anyone who reads here. I must have taken nearly a hundred photos this morning (to include the snarling pit bull across the street) and settled on this one, which I have shown many times before. There's just something about that row of old trees that makes me stop and take notice all over again.
Have a great day. This was the third weekend in a row of storms and I have errands to run. I'll catch up with you toward evening.

That's the Maine I believe in! :) We got a few inches this week here in mid-Illinois and are expecting 3-5 more tomorrow. We've missed our show here the last 3 years or so, AND the water that is manufactured in the meltdown. I have enjoyed your picturs. I hope John's back is holding up ok! Keep snapping and sharing,

This is a nice view and I can see why you like it. Very peaceful looking, pretty snow settled on branches and the sun starting to filter through.

So pretty and not at all boring. There is just something so peaceful about a scene like that and the little peek of sunlight on the trees is magical.
ReplyDeleteI think the snarling pit bull would be quite the opposite.
Be safe in your travels today.
It's GORGEOUS! And to this California gal, FAR from boring! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI would never get tired of that scene in any season, Vee. I love old maple trees and old houses and neighbourhoods. You got a lot of snow and it looks very pretty. I hear there is another big storm system coming across the US today and we're getting some of it on Thursday. So they say. Pam
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing so pretty as snow on the branches of a tree. When lined up it is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the dark tree trunks against the pristine white snow. Take care and stay warm! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteIt is exquisitely beautiful. The little patches of sunlight through the snow and tree branches light up my heart.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! So peaceful looking!
ReplyDeleteThat picture is far from boring - it's beautiful!!! I can't even imagine the sound of a snarling dog while looking at it. You are so funny! Be careful out there today and stock up before the next storm hits!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful snow pic!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture! We have another winter storm coming. First rain today then ending with snow. Some parts of Oklahoma are experiencing blizzard conditions. Crazy weather!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol
Beautiful, simply beautiful...
ReplyDeleteHappy you are able to get out, after yet another storm.
Oh Joy! Not! You get rid of the people who kept a crapppppy house. Now you have a snarling pit bull, across the street. -sigh- Your neighborhood *fun* just never seems to end, does it? :-(((((((((((
Happy Full Snow Moon!
Breathtaking! Although, I know that it makes getting out and about a bit more difficult.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful image!
ReplyDeleteGlad you appreciate that old row of trees cuz it took years and years to get them that way. :)
ReplyDeleteIt really is a pretty perspective. Lots of snow in our mountain passes and none down here. They are talking about some at 1000 feet...we'll see.
I never ever get tired of scenes with fresh snow. Keep 'em coming!
ReplyDeleteNot boring at all...I love that stand of snow-laden trees! You, on the other hand, must be getting bored with consecutive winter weekends. (Although "bored" is probably not the best word for it.)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a productive errand day!
Not boring....spectacular!
ReplyDeleteYou've surely been getting the snow this year.
Have a wonderful day....enjoying the views.
Vee, your photos and writing are never ever boring. Not EVAH (my NY accent) ;-) That photo is "note card worthy", I want to see more! Glad you are able to get out and about and no power problems. xo
ReplyDeleteI got nervous when I heard about the snarling pit bull.........I hope they keep him locked in. xo
ReplyDeleteI think you are 'enjoying' all the snow we missed out on this year! We haven't had much winter weather to speak of...and now winter is about over. Hubby quite likes it when winter passes us by!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, Vee! Our snow didn't cling to the trees as prettily as yours did. Oh well, maybe we'll have a prettier snow this next round. Ha ha. Just when I thought we might escape snow storms this year, we've had one with another fast on it's heels. The farmer's are needing the moisture, so I'll try not to complain too much. Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous just Gorgeous!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe trees. The light. The snow. It's all gorgeous, Vee. Such a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteAs Judy said, we haven't had much winter weather this year. I miss it. But we take what we get - can't do much else, now can we?
Hope the snow doesn't snarl traffic too much for your errand-running.
Beautiful snowy picture and not a bit boring!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is definately a beautiful scene. More snow here tomorrow. Or so they say.
ReplyDeleteI would have this as a favorite as well. I love the way you caught the sunlight on the trees. I could keep looking at snow pictures but you probably have seen enough in real life!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Here we are having thunderstorms and tornado warning! I would love some of that beautiful snow, but here in Florida that is just wishful thinking, thanks for sharing yours!
ReplyDeleteAmazing picture of the snow. It reminds me of when we lived in Baltimore, Maryland. We don't get much down here in Texas. Never grow tired of it. Once you're away from it, you realize what you had.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day in the snow!
gorgeous snowy shot. wow, i hope you get a bunch done - we are still hoping for snow & you keep getting it all. enjoy!! be safe.
ReplyDeletesorry to miss the note card party - too busy. oh well, next time.
big hugs. enjoy your week. ( :
Vee, it looks magical! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteDeanna
It's magical - as much as I'm sick of it, it is beautiful!
ReplyDeletethere is nothing boring about your glorious snow!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Winter Wonderland; it will make Spring that much more joyful! XOXO
ReplyDeleteWe had 11 inches of snow yesterday! It is so light and fluffy and not that hard to shovel. More might be coming tomorrow. This is what winter is all about :)
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteYes, isn't it lovely? Your photograph is beautiful. I was catching up on some posts I missed. I love how pretty everything looks.
