Thus we salute thee with our early song,
And welcome thee, and wish thee long.
And welcome thee, and wish thee long.
~John Milton
May so soon!
This is the earliest that I have ever given a head's up for the monthly Note Card Party. Two weeks from today! It's so easy to remember when I receive a gift of note cards. This time the giver is Sally at Drinking From My Saucer... Thank you, Sally!
Aren't they delightful? Oh yes indeed!
May has arrived sweet and beautiful. I think I'll clean my bedroom this morning while it is yet cool. And who knows where the day will take me after that?!
A lovely one to you...
So glad they arrived! Thanks always for your Note Card inspiration! ~Sally
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I am thinking about joining up this time...soo fun. Enjoy your day Vee!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Vee! What pretty note cards you received. I love your new header too.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe it is snowing here on May 1st!
How beautiful and how fun...so glad you received those...now for me to get going so I can join in two weeks. Enjoy your note cards.
ReplyDeleteLovely notecards that you received!
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful and such a sweet gift. I looked at your post and thought it was time for notecards! I was just getting ready to panic! heehee!
ReplyDeleteHappy May!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos-on-cards!
"Auntie"
Lovely notecards, Vee, and thanks for the heads up on the party, I am so sorry I missed last month's. So glad spring has finally decided to move toward your way.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day.
Hugs,
Sue
May your day take you to delightful places, Vee!
ReplyDeleteHa, I thought the same as Diane. You know how it can be, when you can't remember what day of the week it is.
ReplyDeleteNice notecards from Sally, a thoughtful gift.
It's going up to 70 today and I'll be inside, but it's a garden writers event so I will be having fun. Have a good day after the cleaning Vee.
Judith
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift...and Sally is a wonderful photographer!
May the day take you to lovely places!
Happy first day of May, Vee! Sally's note cards are lovely, her photos are amazing. xo
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful notecards! If only my photography looked so lovely...
ReplyDeleteHow do you make notecards from personal photos? I'm sure there are many ways, but the only way I can think of is to send them to a business supply store that does that sort of thing or to Shutterfly or another online photography place that would do it.
Pam (Playing With My Camera) told me about plain notecards available at Michael's or any craft store. There are a variety of sizes and you simply have your photos printed and then apply them to the card with a dab of glue or double-stick tape. I have a pack ready to go as soon as I have some prints made. Decisions, decisions.
DeletePam here. I'll add that I get my photos printed at Costco. I order them online and pick them up usually the next day. The big craft store has a roll of double sided squares. They are tiny but are perfect for the backs of pictures and for scrapbooking as well. Have fun!
DeleteThanks, Pam, for the added information!
DeleteIt's May! It's May! The Lusty Month of May! (lyrics from Camelot) ... Lovely notecards for the notecard Queen! :D
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards to receive! Enjoy your 1st of May Day Vee..... Spring is here, finally!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet gift! After breakfast I'm going to head to the sewing room and quilt a baby quilt. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are delightful! The second notecard in the last photo reminds me of our gulf coast road trip last March...Gulfport, Mississippi, is my guess.
ReplyDeleteSo happy May has arrived nicely for you. I'm afraid my plans have been thwarted with my lower back trying to freeze up. No lawn mowing today. Thanks for the early reminder on the notecard party. Blessings...
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day Vee! What beautiful cards you received from Sally! I love the juicy raspberry. Isn't the weather just grand?? I am loving it! Enjoy the day where ever it takes you. Hugs, Pam
ReplyDeleteHappy first day of May to you! The notecards are just lovely! Hope your day is lovely as well. Thank you for the sweet words regarding the loss of our sweet kitty.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Makes me want to write a note to somebody.
ReplyDeleteSpring is definitely here for a few days. I have been out and about.
ReplyDeleteDelightful note cards! I love the berry on the saucer.
It's MAY! How sweet to receive the cards from Sally. You've inspired us all with your note card parties, Vee.
ReplyDeleteWith two weeks notice, I may even be able to participate this time. :)
ReplyDeleteMy schedule has been overwhelming right now with lawn, garden, garage, and writing responsibilities... but there is hope.
My cool housekeeping weather turned into 92 degrees by afternoon! Glad I shut the cool air up in the house when I left for lunch. Only opened the doors where shade was when I returned so I am still comfortable. Supposed to be 52 by morning! TEXAS!
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of like your notecard party come to life!
ReplyDeleteOh they are lovely!
ReplyDeleteSince we have had such delightful weather lately, I am thinking ahead to the party....

What a really sweet gift from Sally! Okay, I have jotted down the date of the Note Card Party. I miss it every month and kick myself!
ReplyDeleteI cleaned our bedroom yesterday...the top of my hubby's armoire had 6 inches of dust on it along with clutter going back to 1978 and the dust ruffle on my bed was due for a good washing. It's nice to sleep in a clean, fresh bedroom!
XO,
Jane
Such lovely note cards! What a wonderful gift! Maybe with your little heads up I can remember your note card party! It's a good way to help me get back into the swing of things. =) I've missed you much!
ReplyDeleteJen
Very lovely Vee. I'd like to send you some of my printed cards. Can you email me your addy at veroth@shaw.ca? Perfectly fine if you'd rather not. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful note cards! I can't wait until the next note card party. They are so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWow --such beautiful note cards! I have to admit I have yet to make any from my photos--it is sheer laziness on my part.
ReplyDeleteWe had MORE SNOW yesterday! I think the west has broken records for late snow and cold in Spring. I have to admit I am getting used to this crazy weather and I'm grateful this extra moisture will help the drought, but I wonder what kind of summer is ahead.
