A Day in the Life~Mosaic Monday

Our corner has had lots of rain, heat, and humidity; there have been more days of shadow than of sun; we may even have become a bit moldy. Still there are many joys...

Have a great week!

*Thanks to Mary at Little Red House for hosting Mosaic Monday!*

  1. Hi Vee, I love your Mosaic; I haven't tried making one but the beauty of your photos certainly makes a wonderful one. We are still having heat but now are in our Monsoon season so getting lots of afternoon moisture.
    Have a great afternoon.

  2. Lovely mosiac, Vee! Your flowers are pretty and I see you have one of those cute squirrels there. We have much of the same weather here. It has been raining much of the week and this week has been hot and humid. Have a happy week ahead!

  3. We're in the same boat, or may need to be if the rain continues like it has. At least the lawns are green this year and there's lots of lush growth on the trees and shrubs.
Who's your friend hanging around? Maybe he thinks you have peanuts for him.

  6. I love your mosaic - from early day till dusk - that sunset's colours are fabulous.

I have the same weather here- our side yard is a shallow lake, ugh.

Sure hope the breezes come and dry it up soon or all the grass is going to die. I hate that, but oh well - it happens.

  7. Thanks for sharing a Summer day in your pretty corner of the world. Hope things dry out some soon.
Thanks for stopping by. Very unusual the geranium survived outside last Winter. Don't think I have ever tried bringing one inside for the Winter - really no place to keep one and doubt it would survive my neglect. :)
Have a great week. Gonna be a hot one here.

  8. We have had lots of rain so far this year too! The garden is loving it but I could use a dry and less humid spell right now! Pretty pics!

  9. Ah, the riches of summertime! I love this selection of photos. We are soggy beyond belief here. I am so tired of the ground squishing when I walk on it!

  10. Such pretty surroundings, Vee. Everything looks so green and lush. Georgia has had a LOT of rain all week and we are longing to see the sun, too!
    Have a nice Sunday evening!

We're getting storms right now. No relief from the humidity until next week they say. Ugh!

  16. I love your comment about "may have become a bit moldy"! The deep south has had days upon days of rain. I so love the rain, but my garden does not like complete saturation! Your photos are lovely. I am your newest follower and am visiting from Mosaic Monday. I love blog parties. It is a great way to meet new friends! Have a wonderful week and I hope your get a chance to visit me at Still Woods Farmhouse. I posted my first ever mosaic/collage today!

  18. Hope the mold stays away and the sun begins to shine. Even the squirrel would like it, I'm sure.
Love your mosaic and I'm trying to figure out how you did it. Maybe you'd just share?

  25. That is exactly how I have to approach summer...hot, humid, a bit moldy at times (the environment and my mood--ack!), but punctuated with many joys! I love this perspective!

Lovely photos of your corner...the squirrel makes me smile!

  29. Beautiful mosaic.

Yes, we are *in danger* of molding-around-the-edges, up here in the NE. -sigh-

But you certainly *put a lovely face* on it. :-)

    Happy New Moon!

  31. You asked what is the bug, eating roses? think it's a Japanese beetle. ugh ugh ugh...

What is the *magic potion* you are using, to rid yours, of them???????????

  32. Pretty pretty! Wish we had some of your rain, clouds today but no rain in sight. The caterpillars are munching away on what is quickly becoming a crispy canopy. Enjoy your pretty days!

  33. Such a pretty mosaic! We'll be needing some of your rain if this heat and humidity continue here. Just hang on, as fast as this summer is going we'll be welcoming fall before you know it. Enjoy the rest of the week!

  34. You've outdone yourself, Vee! What great pictures, and I love the new header. It is just the essence of summer's beauty. The shadows on the grass behind the flowers in the sun just give it amazing beauty.

  36. Hi Vee!

Boy have I missed seeing your beautiful Mosaics - just gorgeous! Heat and humidity sure make for lots of pretty green... :0) Love the squirrel, he doesn't look a bit afraid of you!

  37. Love the one with the squirrel on the tree. If he's looking for me, though, he will have to head SOUTH not NORTH.

We're chin deep with rain and humidity too and goodness I'm feeling the pain in my fibro. I'm refusing to do anything but thank for it though because that drought here was really scary to me. I mean, when you see the pine trees die, it kind of freaks you out.

  38. Beautiful photos and love your garden!

  39. I wonder what the squirrel is thinking as he (she?) looks your way!
