Just popping in to say thank you for all the wonderful emails and cards. I have been truly blessed by the community of Blogdom; your words touched my heart.
This past weekend was a blur of activity with Nan's graveside service on Saturday involving six hours of travel and her Memorial Service yesterday at the church she attended in our community.
I've not had nearly enough time to collect my thoughts and so will be taking even more time off from blogging. And, as always, when time away happens, I've missed you. I'm looking forward to getting back.
Enjoy a wonderful November day...
Oh my Dear, I'm so happy to see a post here. Just a few words, is fine. Just so happy, to see that you stopped by.
ReplyDeleteTake your time.
But please don't take too much time to return.
We miss you...
Gentle hugs...
Dear Vee,
ReplyDeleteFrequent thoughts of you have occupied my mind this past week. I have been praying that the strong and comforting arms of God will uphold you and yours during this time of sorrow.
Change is difficult. You will miss your wonderful Nan. It's good to hear that you are taking the time you need to begin adjusting to life without her presence.
Blessings,
Lorrie
you will probably need more time to rest
ReplyDeletethan you anticipate. please know that
your family is in our prayers.

burst into song, o mountains!
for the Lord comforts His people and will
have compassion on His afflicted ones."

You remain in my thoughts. Trusting that things calm down soon and you are at peace with all that has happened over the past twelve months or so. You have been traveled an interesting road.

ReplyDeleteDear Vee,
ReplyDeleteForgive me for only now checking in on your blog after 10 days of being gone on travels. I feel I've missed praying for you during this difficult time. So, your dear, sweet Nan is in the presence of Jesus at last. How blessed for her, though most greivous for those who loved her so much. Just last night my Dad was reading Mom's favorite song by Henrietta Blair called "Meet Me There." So wonderful to know we'll be reunited again. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you.
I been away a few days myself. So sorry to hear about your losing Nan. May she RIP and you and your Mom will have each other to get through it together. Blessings

I have not gone blog visiting in a while but just went by yours. Sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a loved one, even when we know where they are and even when we have the support of others, is very draining. I pray that you will feel comfort in warm memories and the warm hands of friends and family.
