It's only the lowly forsythia and mostly the same photo as in my header. That's just how taken with it I am. Funny how this coming season of flowers delights me year after year. And I am thrilled to be joining the rest of the country with some flowers of my own. At last!
As for the hand painted forysthia plate in the corners, no markings.
Though I may get lost in my fairy tale for a bit, I do plan to join Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.
Hi Vee, What a lovely mosaic. The forsythia blooms are bright and cheerful and I adore the plates. Hope you have a nice Sunday evening. Take care.

ReplyDeleteI'm the same way. I love the spring flowers.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I enlarged so I could see the pretty pattern on the plate...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And interesting how you termed it....'lowly forsythia'. I guess we do tend to think of it as a 'filler' plant/bush. But it is lovely, hardy AND dependable...especially when we need a splash of colour at this time of year. Thanks again for today's gift Vee! You are a gem!
ReplyDeleteThe forsythia is blooming around here like crazy! I'm loving it. ::Jill

Hi Vee, This beautiful plant/shrub has become one of my favorites because it is an early bloom in Colorado and after a long, brown winter the splash of color makes my heart sing. In fact, I'd love some for my yard. Love your plate and the photo mosaic. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen

What a cheery mosaic~ I adore the lowly forsythia too :) Happy Spring to you & enjoy your flowers!
ReplyDeleteWonderful mosaic. The forsythia around here has been especially beautiful because of the unusual winter. Normally you would not have the large amount of bloom on the shrub. V
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finally getting flowers! That looks like a lovely plate. Do you only have one? I can see you have a tasty little treat with a hot cup of something to enjoy in the morning, using that plate. Thank you for visiting my post about our new shed. And yes, there will be windows and window boxes. I hope to take pictures and post along the way. Have a delightful day!
ReplyDeleteEverytime I think of forsythia (or daffodils)I think of a Grace Livingston Hill book "April Gold". Good memories!
ReplyDeletePretty new blog look here!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteNow to read your post! :-)

Very pretty mosaic. Bright! Spring-eee! Yellow is a happy color!
ReplyDeleteBut know what makes me take a closer look? The little bumps on the branch. Look at the texture, they show.
Why are those wee little bumps, so interesting? Don't know. :-) But they are. :-)

Gorgeous Vee! What program did you make your mosaic in? I too love the Forsythia. Too me it is the first sign of Spring. An old fashioned bush that I remember from my childhood. I always plant at least one. In my Highland home I had 3. Two of them were starts taken off of my FIL's. The plates are precious. I have never seen any like them.

Sweeeeet!
ReplyDeleteYellow is such a happy color after the drabness of winter. I love forsythias and your mosaic is lovely!
ReplyDeleteOnly God can paint a yellow hue that brilliant! I love forsythia.
ReplyDeleteMy mom and dad have a running joke --- every time he sees yellow flowers or mom comments on yellow flowers, dad says, "must be forsythia". Always gets a laugh. My dad knows little about flowers... have a great week, Vee!
Which program did you use for this? It is very nice.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly looks like spring when those yellow beauties begin to open up and say hello once again, very lovely mosaic~
ReplyDeleteSo your Forsythia is blooming too.
ReplyDeleteYou missed that the greenhouse from the back of the pond was gone! The bottom falling down shed next.
