The hysterics?
When I'm feeling achy, as today I am because of yard work yesterday, I often sing this phrase:
"...when I fall on my knees with my face to the rising sun, O, Lord, have mercy on me."
Yes, well that's how it is supposed to go, but for some crazy reason, I've been singing it this way instead:
"...when I fall on my face with my knees to the rising sun."
Hahahahahahaha...
I think my brain needs a rewiring.

Anyone else been playing at picnik before they close forever in just three days? I have at BJ's suggestion.
Have been noting the difference between her beautiful headers and my not-so-beautiful headers. She does hers on picnik and I do mine in Photoshop and Photoscape.
Here's a comparison:
< Edited to add: Might have been interesting, but it's long gone now. >
Well Vee....you are just way too creative for me this morning, comparing pictures, headers etc! AND gardening yesterday....sigh, the guilt is setting in. Thank goodness on this, my last day of vacation, I woke up to rain!!!! YAY....After this cup of coffee and a browse through friend's updates, I am going to grab that paperbook I packed for the holiday and did not read, and slip back into bed...YEE HAW. The last day vacation in bed....sounds like a good plan eh? Smile. Have a good one Vee. And thanks again, can't say it enough.
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteI have never used picnic before. Seems I never have enough time to tinker and try new things. Both headers are wonderful, but I think I like the second one with just a bit bigger photos. Why is picnic going away? Too darn many changes as of late.
Hugs,
Jann
I heard about a replacement to Picnik. It is called Picmonkey. I have not had time to play with it yet but it is supposed to be very similar to Picnik.
ReplyDeleteNot quite, Becky. It hasn't introduced the collage feature yet.
ReplyDeleteI've got my knees to the rising sun over here, too. LOL! Glad you have a cheery heart this morning.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I love the one in Photoshop.
ReplyDeleteSherry
I giggled at your version of the song - isn't that the way life works some days.
ReplyDeleteIt's a slow start for me this morning, saw Tim off to work, then parents to the ferry. Talked with our daughter, now in Spain, and have progressed to blog reading.
While drinking tea. And munching. Bad combination!
I'm going to click over to the fun video now. Have a good day, Vee.
I switched to the new blogger last week and am trying to get accustomed to it! I haven't thought about photos, yet!!!
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the harder change is!
I have seen this video before many years ago and got a laugh out of it then because I could relate. Watched it again so I could get another laugh. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteI like both of your headers! Off to watch the video...
ReplyDeleteI did use Picnic a few times, and fool around with the zillion of photo effects aps on my Android phone when bored. The Picasa photo editing option of pencil sketch and zoom are about all I ever use anyway. The collage choice...I need to check to see if it is still there.
ReplyDeleteI own photoshop but have always felt overwhelmed by it. Just wish I could figure out how to do the outline and erase thing to zap out things. I used to know how to do it, but then forgot :-(
Header this way or that way? I like them both! I have Photoshop Elements...but don't use it much. Picasa and my Canon editing program are usually as far as I get.
ReplyDeleteI'd be happy to 'fall on my face with my knees to the rising sun'...but alas, only rain today! :)
I used to love to play at Picnik but since they are abandoning me I have just been playing elsewhere. You made me chuckle right along with you, laughter is powerful medicine to lift the mood and cheer the spirit.
ReplyDeleteNot much going on here today except cleaning. I had a burst of creativity and trash my studio.
Hope you keep that sunshine in your soul and smile the whole day through.
Good morning...it is so funny you would mention that, I was just thinking I need to get over there and whip up a few headers before it's over. I guess there will sure to be a smiliar spot, but I can barely work the one I am familiar with. I think I am off to get busy. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI desperately need a new header, but I have no time to "play" and try ot make one! I hope that the Google Picasa program fully incorporates all Picnik's capabilities onto their site as they have already added many of their edits.
ReplyDeleteOff to watch the funny video....
I like the header that's up there now but the other one is nice too.
ReplyDeleteI don't even do header pictures anymore. I just have my name blog and my favorite Bible verse and save all the picture for the posts.
I must say you are a busy gal - getting all that work done and all! sandie
ReplyDeleteVee, whenever I sing that portion of "Let Us Break Bread Together," I get a big lump in my throat. Everytime. Your header looks fine to me, but I'm easy to please!
ReplyDeleteHi Vee,
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh with your song..
You need a kneeling pad for your knees..LOL
I do not use picnik, I think I am behind the times. I better get with it..LOL I think the photoshop pictures are just fine.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth
Vee,
ReplyDeleteI watched the video. I have seen it before, but it is so good that I watched it in its entirety. Watching the video primed me for the rest of this post.
Now I am giggling and singing about falling on my face with my knees to the rising sun.
Lord! Have mercy on me!
Nope, I'm mournin' 'em! I loved Picnik and am gonna desperately miss 'em. {{{SIGH}}}
ReplyDeleteThat said, Picasa 3 has added some new cool edit tools. 'Just sayin'...
God bless ya sweetie and have a glorious day!!!
Great Video!!! :o)
I love your headers but between the two it looks like the Picnik one is a bit sharper although it's missing one photo on the right isn't it? (was that a run on sentence?) The brain sure does funny things when one is tired. Even typing is a challenge. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteI like the one done at picnik!Like the hearts! Great job!. Thanks for the link!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sue
I like photoscape but have never tried picnik. It's hard to find a program that does everything you want, but then I always wonder if I have truly explored all the options to the program to know what all it offers....
ReplyDeleteI have really liked all of your headers, Vee! It is a nice surprise to see the constant flow of creativity over here, so keep them coming:)
ReplyDeleteGood moods feel good don't they? Whatever you're doing, keep doing it, I can see the smile in your writing!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your sense of humor and your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteIm glad I took a few minutes to visit Suzanne and watch that video! Oh, yes, I can relate to that one. My husband's philosophy is to always buy the largest size of any item! ("You never know when you'll need that.")
ReplyDeleteI admire your computer skills, Vee. You keep coming up with charming headers...and I keep the same one month after month. And the one that I am using? My daughter walked me through it step by step. (I have learned how to do a collage unassisted now!)
Don't be so tough on yourself! I always LOVE your headers. Keep on doing what you're doing.
ReplyDeleteLove,
S
Yes it was funny with an element of truth!
ReplyDeleteI love Picnik hate to see it going. I forgot which one I am using now. The new one does not have a collage maker yet. Maybe they are waiting for Picnik to close. Enjoyed your tour through the backyard at dusk. Gonna go back and watch the other video now.
