If I could choose only one photo, it would be the Christmas tree and books. I think.
Yes, those are killer icicles. That photo was taken yesterday. We're in an active storm pattern.
Now without explanation, I have selected my "favorite" post of each month. I have flip-flopped a few times, but a gal must carry on so I'll let these speak for themselves. Feel no compulsion to visit them. This is more of a documenting thing.
This final day of 2013 is a good one to thank you very much for visiting me. There are many wonderful blogs in Blogdom and I am incredibly honored that you find your way to this little spot. I love you for it.
Wishing you too Vee a happy and safe New Years! We have been experiencing some bitter cold temps here, but the grands still managed to stay outside and play when they were here visiting.
What a great idea, to make a photo collage of the passing year! Such a fun way to document what your year was like! And your photos are beautiful as well - they tell a story all their own, I'm sure. Hope you have a wonderful "bringing in" this evening! Happy New Year!
I had intended to take some time to visit blogs during Christmas and wish everyone a merry one. Then, "it" got away from me. I refuse to let another day pass without making sure I send HAPPY NEW YEAR wishes to the invisible friends who live in my computer.
I love your collage and I actually remembered some of those just by the name of the post. (Which means I'm either really creepy or some kind of genius. And I'm not a genius...)
I am looking forward to this next year and have plans for more balance in my life. (That would be a hint as to my word of the year and other such nonsense that I feel the need to do as a new year begins.)
Happy New Year Vee - I love all your posts and am so honoured that you visit my wee one. I know what you mean about the killer icicles - it's crazy over here too.
Yours is one of my very favorite blogs to visit Vee, so I thank you for bringing a smile to my heart via Blogsville. Wishing you and yours a happy New Year full of good health, His richest blessings, and true joy that comes only from a closeness with our mighty God! HUGS
Love your collage, Vee. Those icicles... wow, killer describes them very well. Haven't seen anything like it since my Michigan days. I was drawn to the photo of the little white church with the backdrop of a clear blue sky. So pretty. Great idea to document the year with favorite posts and photos. Your posts are always like a gift to me.
Vee how did you choose a favorite post--they are all so good which is why so many of us don't miss coming by your place. You have a nice set of pictures and I think I would agree with you on the favorite--such a lovely, cozy photo. All the best to you in the new year!
Just ran across your blog from one of my followers and really enjoyed the warm and positive posts. We live in the Midwest and have had our share of ice too, an ice storm hit last weekend during our choir performance-really hurt the numbers that came to see us perform. Love your collage of pics from 2013 and will enjoy reading some of your previous posts. Ann
That's a lot of work to go through past posts and link your monthly favourites for us, but then that's just so like you. Your personality and interesting posts are what drew me to your blog in the first place Vee and I myself am honoured that you take the time to visit my little place in blogdom. It's been an incredible year of sharing friendship, sadness but also happy times with blogging friends. I especially love the granny group who get to know more about each other by showing our precious grandchildren and talking about things we can all relate to. Even our digestive issues? LOL Wishing you and yours a happy new year. Hugs, Judith
This is a great post. I told myself I needed to go back over the year of posts...because I think I would process this past year more. Your pictures are wonderful. Thanks for allowing me to visit and glean from your wisdom and life. Happy New Year
Happy New Year, Vee! And, wow...you are right about those icicles! Deadly looking things! Thank you so much for your positve posts and for being so welcoming to me since I started blogging. I always look forward to your next post and of course, your wonderful Note Card Parties! Blessings be upon you in the new year! :)
And to you, my friend! Hope that you'll not stay away any longer than you must. Blogdom is a wonderful get-away...a haven, a support. Happy New Year...
It's fun making a collage of the year isn't it? I just did mine and loved seeing all the photos I had forgotten and the past posts too! I'm glad I found your blog, it's a happy point in my day:>) Happy New Year to you and yours Vee!
My first comment was eaten in cyber space. I like this idea of revisiting the year. Maybe while I sit and watch the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl game I'll crank out something similar...maybe. It's been a pleasure visiting you in 2013 and I'm looking forward to 2014. Those icicles are amazing. I was wondering how you were faring in this latest blast to hit your region. Blessings in the New Year, Vee!
A great review! I have enjoyed visiting your blog in 2013 Vee! You always have something interesting to say and I love the photos you take around your home – especially the window ones - you're a dab hand at those! You’ve introduced me to Note Cards and now I put more thought into the images I take. I think of the blog world as a kind of neighborhood, where we all meet up and ‘chew the fat’, airing our views and swapping stories in a neighborly fun way!
Wishing you, John and all your family good health, abounding happiness and JOY and may your dreams be fulfilled in 2014 dear Vee. BIG HUGS Shane
I've enjoyed your posts so much, Vee, and your thoughtful comments on my own blog. Your note card party is one of blogging's highlights and I've met many wonderful people through that.
I pray that you and John will have a wonderful 2014, filled with God's good gifts.
And I feel incredibly blessed to be welcomed back here on a regular basis. Thank-you for the open door and the welcome mat at 'your haven' here in blogdom. I also feel incredibly blessed to have walked through that door and spent face-to-face time with you in your cozy home this summer. It was most special to meet you and John in August...to hear your New England accents...to be recipients of your hospitality...and to leave with such good memories. Maybe one day we can reciprocate!
Be sure to stay away from those icicles. They look dangerous!
We've had a good year my friend and been very blessed. I've enjoyed the note card party and made new blog friends, too. Thanks for everything....and for being my blog buddy! Happy New Year to you and John! Warm hugs, Diane
I always enjoy stopping by for a visit each day. Thank You for being my friend. A very Happy New Year to you and John. I wish you much happiness, good health, and contentment. Lots of sunshine too. : )
I love your photo collage...and I am sure to be back to read some of your favorite posts. I think that it is fascinating to look back over a year and see more of the "big picture"!
I love your collage for the year Vee. Isn't it difficult to choose photos of special moments and events?? I also like your latest post for New Years and the beautiful scripture you quoted. Are you in the throws of the storm there? I think it's going to miss us this time, thankfully. Although it's very cold here at -16C (2 F) and windy but the sun is shining. Many blessings to you and John for 2014. Hugs, Pam
Yes, it appears that we'll get nailed. I am actually hoping so as both boys could use more recuperation time before returning to school. So glad that you'll miss out! It's always fun to see those further south get hit when we don't, anyway. =D
A lovely year review, Vee. Wishing you a Happy New Year from cold snowy New Brunswick. We have three feet of snow and minus 25C last night, supposed to be -27C tonight- that's -16.5F. I know you've had the same storms and power outages, but hope it's a bit warmer for you...
P.S. And Happy New Year to you! (I was going to comment on your other post, but you have it closed.) I'll join you in that toast for prosperity and health in 2014!
I could never narrow down each month to one photo --it would be an impossible task, especially this year, as so many photos were of grandchildren--how to pick just one! :)
Stay safe and warm in the next snow storm coming your way, Vee. My younger brother in Massachusetts told me they are expecting 14 inches!
Wishing you too Vee a happy and safe New Years! We have been experiencing some bitter cold temps here, but the grands still managed to stay outside and play when they were here visiting.
