Thank you!
Thank you so much to all who participated in this month's Note Card Party. Some posted, many visited, it was just wonderful. I was surprised for such a busy month.

The snow that now rests on my little porch arrangement covers a multitude of sins, but it is too cold to open the door and leave it open to take the shot. Yes, things are just that tight around here.
Keeping up with everyone is a great joy. It is so much fun to see what you're up to whether it's decorating when you didn't expect to or baking or traveling. How much longer will the collective "we" be able to keep all plates spinning. We'll see!
Speaking of spinning plates, I'm off to shop today. Dear Lord, may it be the final day I'll have to go out to face the madding crowd this year. ☺
Have yourself a happy day!
Lots of snow and cold here too Vee. I am debating going out later for stocking stuffers, it WILL be my last shopping trip of the season if I do. Hopefully you will geet yours all done too and be able to sit back and enjoy the rest of the week:>)
ReplyDeleteOh poor you, Vee- yikes......I swear the closest I came to retail shopping this year is last night dining with friends and seeing The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug in the theatre next to the Mall. Ugh. And STILL to close to shopping maddness in my humble opinion. Scary stuff. I do the "point and click" holiday shopping.....only truly safe way for me to stay within budget.......there's too much temptation otherwise. I somehow justify buying for myself out there. Bad bad me. Hope you got all done, it's a great feeling and the rest just works out in peace. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteOh how was the movie?
DeleteHi sweet Vee!!! Long time no visit! I've been hunkered down in my own little world I guess...but have to pop over to tell you hello and wish you the most wonderful Christmas ever dear friend!!! Sending big warm hugs and much love to you, Dawn
ReplyDeleteHello Vee, I was out in the shopping madness yesterday...and will be again on Saturday with the hubs (his first shopping this season). Be careful out there, it's tough!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see snow for Christmas, but I know I would not enjoy driving in it anymore! Be safe!
ReplyDeleteI got an SOS from one of my shops that they need more candles....so I'm making them this morning and will take them to the "madness" this afternoon. :-) I have much to do to get ready for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteKatie and I are heading out into the Madding Canadian World today. Hope we don't freeze. Hope you get all that needs to be accomplished done today out there!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your shopping all wrapped up today Vee. I think I am done. I finally resorted to a lot of gift cards.
ReplyDeleteI have stayed away from the mall -- yipppeee! Stay warm. Good luck with the shopping. Ho Ho Ho!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Vee! yes, let's hope this is your final venture out. It is a GOOD feeling to be all done with that....and I don't have all that cold weather to deal with too. Keep warm and safe and may you be swift!
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I did not have the opportunity to join but I hope you know how much I appreciate YOU! For you have created such a nice neighborhood here. :)
ReplyDeleteYou'll be ready for January. ☺ If not then, perhaps February. Whenever you can make it will be fun for all of us!
DeleteHi Vee! I'm wishing you accomplish all your shopping with a minimum of time and fuss and return home to John and a cup of tea and nice music and a pretty Christmas tree and perhaps some good reading.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I love that wish, but you know, Kristi, I am reminded over and over again that slewfoot is no gentleman. The car broke down and the furnace went out at John's rent. Ackkk... My grands' maternal grandmother will have to bring the boys to me today. Good thing we know something about teamwork in this family. Thanks for the sweet wish, though. I loved just thinking about it.
DeleteYour note card party is one of my favourite monthly things to do, of course we both love Donna's monthly challenge as well.
ReplyDeleteI know from working in retail how busy the stores are going to be right up until the 24th. Good luck with your mission to finish the shopping.
Judith
Awww...thanks for saying so.
DeleteI ventured to the shops yesterday and it was horrid! Crowded, too hot, music far too loud, shelves untidy and things strewn on the floors! I still need to do a grocery shop for fresh vegs. etc. over the weekend - secret is getting out there early I guess!
ReplyDeleteLove your notecard party, would be hard to stop, and yes also Donna's photo challenge which is always quite a stiff challenge, but good for us and our cameras!
Take care out there in the madding crowd Vee, and stay warm.
Hugs- Mary
We have 4 more little gifts to get , in big stores and malls we get in and get out but in our little towns with country shops we take our time . Hope your shopping is a good one today and not to busy ! I love that sleigh don't see them anymore here ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteI braved the madding crowds yesterday and the lines to check out were long and the parking lots were full. I thought I had everything bought and wrapped, but decided to get a couple more things. It was rather fun since I took BG along to see how it is to shop this time of year. :) Now, I only have a few last minute grocery items to pick up next week.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm done. It's only taken me around 2 hours to finish this comment...I keep getting sidetracked. Hope you have/had good luck with your shopping!
Vee, I'm not a shopper and you just made me re-think the way I do Christmas shopping. We live so far from all four of our kids that they do Amazon wish lists or I send gift cards. I always find a few things to wrap and send a small box to each family, but for the most part, our Christmas is very easy. I miss not being with our family, but I'm going to do my best to think of my ease of shopping is truly a blessing. I'm sure if we lived closer, I'd be facing those crowds of shoppers, too.
ReplyDeleteOh Vee - I hope by this time you are done or almost done your shopping today. I love your notecard parties and one day will have to join in!!! I have been trying to avoid the throngs as much as possible - am almost done unless my lists were missing somethings - hmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your parties, Vee. Want to be more aware of them so I can be more prepared with having 'great' photos posted so they can be included in the monthly collections.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't visited everyone who joined, but I'm looking forward to doing that in the next day or so.
Thanks again!
Just wondering if you have seen the Jacquie Lawson Advent Calendar at night. It was a full moon for today's picture...it follows the cycle of the current moon each day....so cool!
ReplyDeleteNo! I'll have to try that. I had just noticed this very morning that the clocks give the correct time. I'm not so observant!
DeleteVee, I hope you didn't run into much holiday madness whether it be bad traffic or crowded stores.
ReplyDeleteLove Love your arrangement on your porch Vee! It's beautiful. I shopped today in the madding crowd but managed to stay away from the mall. The grocery store was the crazy place. The roads were greasy from the last snowfalls and it was snowing on that. I was glad to get home. I think I'm done unless Murray wants to take me in to get some fun things. We do that at the end. Now, I have to visit the notecard party participants that I missed. Nighty night. P.S. If you get a chance to see the Johnny Reid (Canadian/Scots country singer) Christmas special please do. It is excellent!!! I'm watching it right now. Michael Buble was on last night and it was good too. Got to love Canadian talent!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had great success with your shopping and are now home with your feet up!
ReplyDeleteI like your porch arrangement-did you do it yourself?
Happy shopping. Stay safe and healthy.
ReplyDeleteThe arrangement is beautiful.
such a beautiful image in the photo above, and spinning plates thats the best description of holiday shopping and maddness I have heard!! Happy Holidays to you!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great Christmas party, Vee! Thank you for being the hostess with the mostess!
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Carol
Vee, it was fun and worth the effort to participate!
ReplyDeleteI still have shopping to do for a few people - some of my online shopping had to be returned which turned into more work than the shopping online saved! Boo.
It will all be fine. And we have more than we need. We are so blessed!
Deanna
I'm still spinning plates for sure! I was out this afternoon, and have finally finished my shopping except for one item. If I'm really lucky, Ron will pick it up on his way home from work tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteI missed joining the party this month, but it was the right call.
Your front porch display is lovely!!
Love your porch display! I went to face the crowds today as well...though they were not so bad! Did my wrapping tonight...and still have other plates to spin.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty display on your porch, dear Vee. I hope your shopping is finished. Every year I wonder why we do this to ourselves!! I'm looking forward to having one more of the "firsts" over I loved joining your party again. What a kind group, as I've said before. xo
ReplyDeleteVee...is that your bittersweet left from the fall? It looks wonderful in the winter arrangement! Mine is laying on my garage floor...I'll see if it is usable by next fall...I hope so. I was up, out of the house and insde Walmart before 6 am this morning....got most of everything except just a couple things and have bben making goodies all day...I'm POOPED! Thanks again for hosting such a fun party! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYes. I used my pitifully few red berries on an arrangement on the fence. The birds have about taken them all, which is fine. They need the energy.
