Scenes About Town

This is the little garden shed that sits behind a home along the river. It's been calling to me for months and every time I see it sitting there looking so cute, I do not have my camera. What they say about always having one's camera is so true! Today, John helped me make sure that I got the shot. I'm so glad that he did. Now I'm looking forward to his help with the next event that Melissa has scheduled: Fall Front Porches: Get Your Cameras Ready! Oh yes! I plan to have mine with me at every opportunity.

  1. Vee,
The garden shed is darling! Mine is in need of some dolling up. It is a former resident for chickens!

I am glad I could return the grin with yesterdays post. I have worked my way up to three secret swoops with nary a hitch! I want to go across town to the bike trail but handy hubby says I need to get one of those cute little bike bells or horns first so I can warn the walkers of approaching danger. Cheeky huh?

I'll go over and check out this porch thing. Have a sweet day!

  3. John is right, you must listen to this man. I always have a camera with me, sometimes two! I've never been to Maine but I've always envisioned it as being a quaint and beautiful place. It seems from your photos that is true!

  6. I can't wait to see more of your fall photos, Vee - one of my dreams is to visit the north east in autumn. One day.

  7. Beautiful pic's...so glad you had your camera. I usually have mine with me...but it hasn't always been co-operating of late. I've had a few mishaps with it. But I can testify that you can drive over a Canon Powershot A620...and still take photos!

I'm on the lookout for fall porches.

  11. Wow - look at that beautiful fall foliage already! Beautiful photos, Vee. I love the shed - it's just "New England-y" lookin'. I'll have to check out the fall front porch thing. How's "cheekie" doing?! Or shall we call him "Jiminy"?! :^) Vickie

  12. LOVE your photos Vee!! Hey..I saw in your previous post that traction device...that's real neat..I think I need one of those...I have a mild scoliosis that starts at the top of my neck and ends at the base of my spine but it has been the source of my migraines. I think a home unit would help me a lot..I'm going to ask my Chiro about that!

I'm trying to get back in the groove here...I'll try not to be such a Stranger.
    Hugs,

  15. The shed is so quaint. I love it. Are you familiar with South Paris, Maine? My ex was born there. You have some beautiful country and it must be getting nice and cool.

  16. What lovely photos. I love red buildings, especially with the American flag hanging on it...it just doesn't get any better. I haven't been out to take any fall photos yet, so busy with projects indoors. Thank you for your help with the paint color. We've bought two small cans of paint and tried them and still we are undecided. Arggh! This weekend we are painting but before then, we'll try two new colors. Yellow is such a hard one to get right.

  18. I love your pictures, let me just say they are wonderful.

But I must say I am just dragging my heels about fall this year. I can't really address it yet. I am so weird I know. It is just so easy to be in denial with the wonderful Indian summer we still have going on here. I suppose it is fall, but it is suppose to hit the 90's here tomorrow.

I am going to go play in my garden and pretend it is still summer =]

  19. Cindy, I think we live our own realities. It's definitely autumn here and not one bit of a stretch to imagine since the temps are cool and the leaves are turning at a remarkable clip. I hope that visiting my reality will help you to appreciate your own just that much more :D. Believe me, if the temps were still in the 90s, I'd be celebrating summer, too!

Thank you, everyone, for your sweet comments about my pictures. It's a beautiful world out there!

I carry my camera with me at all times too. That is one reason I got such a small camera.
