< The grumble was removed >
Just so no one will think that I'm decluttering all day long every single day, I'm not. I have had to curb it back considerably because I am old and the body does not cooperate as it once did. When I overdo it, and I have overdone it, I pay with a wonky back and shaky knees. Lorrie asked how I truly felt about this purge — I mostly feel as if the weight of the world is lifting from my shoulders. Sometimes, however, I feel frustrated by having to make so many decisions and I climb into my bed (its being so handy and all) and pull the covers over my head.
This morning, I am thinking of two grands whose parents set up their playset over a long weekend. They came home from school on Monday to find it ready to go and spent their afternoon having a blast. Every day since it has rained. The sun will surely return someday...
Off for morning coffee! I so need some.
I am seeing that warning on quite a few blogs myself. What's going on with that? We had some storms pass thru last night. Sunny and 86 degrees and then dark and golf ball size hail just south of us luckily. Hope your grands get to use that great play set soon...looks fun!
ReplyDeleteI see you've also changed your photo on the sidebar. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a smart idea to pace the purging and prevent back problems.
I hope the rain stops soon so the grands can enjoy that new playset. Looks like a lot of fun.
Enjoy your coffee. I'm currently enjoying mine and then it's back out to water the flowers. We have the opposited problem here. Already in a moderate drought.
Your grands are adorable enjoying that new playset. How very fun.
ReplyDeleteThe internet is a joy and one of my biggest frustrations all at the same time. Glad you are not risking the malware....Your new choice is lovely. No worries.
Good morning! What a wonderful looking playset! The grands are going to love that. My frustration on this computer is more than I can take sometimes, and yet such a source of pleasure...what is a gal to do? haha Have a wonderful week-end!
ReplyDeleteThat is frustrating, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI think your wise to pace yourself....I may not accomplish all in my closet tomorrow - it may depend on Tim's plans and the fact that it is my Dad's birthday!
Our play gym/swing set thingy has been a joy to our children and many others who have visited! I can tell it is 10 years old now it needs some tlc.

I have been hitting that warning on blogs I have tried to visit....as for the blogger backgrounds, well I use them because I am not creative enough to do anything else.
ReplyDeleteOh the grands...Benjamin watched over the fence while the neighbor set one up the other day...oh they will have hours and hours of get play time.
I saw those warnings yesterday on two of my favorites - boo hoo! I was afraid to "go forward", but hoping the notice will go away.
ReplyDeleteLike your idea of pacing yourself with the purging. I keep trying to find good homes for my things, so it's pretty slow.
It makes you wonder if Blogger has been hacked....
ReplyDeleteTechnology is great, but it is also so destructive.
I'm happy to hear your not trying to overdo things in the great purge. It can get exhausting in general, but doing it all at once is just too much!
A playset for the grands.... how fun! I miss the days of little ones. Now I have teenagers. They are just plain exhausting. LOL =)
Have a great weekend!
I was grumbling myself last night when I tried to upload photos for a new post. It would take several tries each time. I'd get the photo uploaded, but when I clicked on it to go to my post I was working on I'd get nothing. I rarely had that problem until we got the new changes. Grrrr.
ReplyDeleteYour grandsons have a wonderful new play area! Hope it quits raining soon so they can get back to playing outside. It's been storming here this morning. We don't need the rain. :(
Hope you take it easy for awhile and rest up from all that purging. Enjoy your day and the coming weekend!
Hope you get things worked out with your blog. It's so frustrating when things don't work like they should. I know your grands will have many pleasant, fun-filled days on their new play set. =) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteVee, Just found your blog and am looking forward to reading on a regular basis!! I am your newest follower!! I also just sent an email asking about your problem with shabby blog. I've been told I may have something wrong with my blog...Yikes!! Any help would be appreciated!

I hope that Shabby Blogs finds your message. It's a fun site with lots of great finds!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that swing set great?! That rain will certainly be a test of patience for two little grands.
I'm back to using the old blogger interface. I can't seem to get the "schedule" post feature to work for me in the new interface.
I think your new background is adorable, Vee.
ReplyDeleteThat happened to me once when I tried to use Shabby blogs. Malware just isn't worth it!
I am glad you are pacing yourself. I have to as well due to health issues. Like you, I pay for it every time I go too fast and do too much!
I'm glad you are pacing yourself...that's what we call it! Enjoy your day my friend!
ReplyDeleteRain, malware warnings, and too much purging. Of course you need coffee! After your second cup...everything will look better. I'm off to have my first cup of the day. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe warnings are annoying, my research showed that they are foundless, but I may have to change. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful playset!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
-clapping hands- Oh I love a "grumble." ,-)

You are the 2nd blogger this morning, to tell of having some kind of a *PROBLEM.* -sigh-
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! What's the matter with me!!!!! FULL MOON on Saturday! It's the *Full Moon Effect* of course!
Oh you who are shaking your heads in disbelief, when will you listen to "Auntie"? -grin-

I hate when that message pops up, it prevents me from reading certain blogs. And there is one blog that actually freezes my computeras soon a sI open the post (via email or browser or link!) and I have to shut it down and reboot. Person is not reachable (no email) so she is probably unaware of the problem. So many 'bugs' to deal with, and yard work has me knocked out too. xo
ReplyDeleteI need to find the time to purge. I hope to take a couple weeks soon to get some of that done.
ReplyDelete-WAVING HANDS-
ReplyDeleteMore Full Moon Effect!
Sent you an email, to tell you what you asked for... The other blogging problem I'd heard of today.
Email came back as can't be delivered. Hehhhh.... Same thing happened with another email I sent this morning. Came back.
'TIS the FULL MOON Effect, I tells-ya'. Whoooooo-hoooooooo... Whooooo-hooooo... Head for the hills! And all that jazzzzzzzz.
,-))))))))
Purging is hard, I know. I just have to watch that I don't keep replenishing the spaces I've cleared!
ReplyDeleteThat is one nice, sturdy swing set!
The g'kids will have barrels of fun
playing on it.
Don't work too hard today Vee!
Kimberly
Happy day to you today, Vee. I think a cuppa TEA would help cheer you up!
ReplyDeleteToo bad about Shabby Blogs wallpaper --- I hope they get it fixed soon. Your current one looks very nice, though.
There are some other places that provide free wallpaper for blogs as well. Check on my "friends of" blog and there are some links to them on the sidebar.

Vee, I would love some of your rain. Please send it my way. Thank you so much for visiting and following.
ReplyDeleteAs for the mystery, Yours is a great idea. One blogger mentioned place mats. I thought about a course linen mat with the roos folded and attached as flatware holder.
The grands seem to be having a ball. That is a nice swing set. Sure beats the tire swings of my day. It was a couple of years before they stopped making black marks on your clothes.
I am going now to read more about your purging. I really need to do some of that.
Have a great weekend?
Ginger
Oh the joy of new swing set. I still enjoy a good swing once in a while. : )
ReplyDeleteHope they get some nice sunny days.
I'm not a coffee drinker but can fully understand why you want/need your cup this morning. Computers are wonderful and maddening all at the same time. And somewhere, in Blogger land, people are dreaming up "newer and better" all the time, not realizing that we are perfectly content with the way things are. Usually. If everything works as it should. And we're in a good mood.
ReplyDeleteLove the grands playing in the yard!
Hi Vee!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any problems - but I know there are so many who are cursing the new blogger right now!!
It seems like I spend more time on it, trying to figure out what the heck is going on?!
I love your de-junking post - it has inspired me to reach into some far, and dark corners...:0)
Hugs,
Barb
I saw the same warning on quite a few blogs for 2 days now! Glad you realized what was going on and have fixed the problem on your end. Your grandsons look very happy!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that playset! It's perfect for two active boys!
ReplyDeleteBusy day here --you got me back in the spirit of de-cluttering! :)
Great photos of the grands. I am having my own set of problems. My son rearranged all my photos on Picasa and told me how to get to them but lo and behold I did not write it down and to no surprise I cannot get to them. I am have having a hard time with all the changes. I enjoy my play things just the way they are. I will do it the old way as long as I can.
ReplyDeleteQMM
I have Shabby Blogs but haven't noticed anything. I would be in a pickle since Amber does my design for me and I wouldn't have a clue! If you see a tailored standard look to mine - you will know why!
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy your every post!
Hi Vee - love your writing and humor (: Your one of those that can may any subject compelling. Thanks for poppoing over for a visit.
ReplyDeleteI know that your grands are thrilled with their new play space! Hopefully, they'll get a nice weekend to play...any more rain coming your way?
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that your computer issues have been resolved. My girls introduced me to a new word recently..."frenemy." I think that is what my computer is to me.
Do these guys look like they are having fun or what! I see a fun filled summer ahead.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been online long enough lately to know if I am having any problems I am still knee deep in paint, and will continue to be for a few weeks. I finally figured out why everything got in such bad shape around here.... Blogging , yes, blogging.. I used to blame everything on age, I am now blaming it on blogging, so far dh is buying this excuse.~smile~
Hugs,
Sue
Oh Vee, blog has changed in my abscence, I cant get my head around all the new features. Ireland is getting more than average rainfall at the moment, it is tough on the little ones who want to play outside. love the new garden toys. Enjoy your coffee. big hugs, Margie.
ReplyDeleteAlways the way. It has not stopped raining here since we began our demolition and re-plan at the bottom of the garden. The second skip has about 6 inches of water in the bottom.
ReplyDeleteI got the malware message too- originating with shabbyblogs, and apparently any blogger using shabbyblogs. Was very glad to see that disappear later in the day!
ReplyDeleteHope the sun returns soon for your grands so they can get back out in the fresh air and play. Cool playset!
