A "Monet" is a happy mistake because the colors blend perfectly with the photos being used. Then I can practice pattern as I might in making a quilt.

Back to that challenging collage maker just for a new font and the transparent background.

Linking to Mary at Little Red House. Thanks, Mary, for hosting such a fun event week after week.
A wonderful week to you...
Beautiful mosaic, Vee. I have got to learn how to do this. I need an extremely easy program, though. xo
ReplyDeleteVee! This may be the most beautiful/favorite mosaic I've encountered yet on MM. I love it...the colors, the repetition. it's gorgeous! Good for you!...sorry about the two hours, but it probably was relaxing (I find photo editing to be that) and we all benefit!
ReplyDeleteA very pretty checkerboard of flowers.
ReplyDeleteNice job!!!
That's so lovely, Vee! I wish you many more "happy" mistakes:D
ReplyDeleteThe 25-pics-grid, yummmmmmmy. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll leave all this mosaic-making-stuff to you! ,-)
Lovely sunny weekend. Rain coming back. -pout- How about you, in your neck of the woods?

Such a pretty and fun mosaic! I could get lost for hours fiddling with picture stuff. But maybe if I did it more often, I'd get better at it and then it wouldn't take me so long! Follow that? Haha!
ReplyDeleteYou are having such a good time playing and making mosaics. Lovely lilacs and azaleas!
ReplyDeleteOh how I love lilacs! I'm still waiting on my bush to flourish. Beautiful mosaic even though your program caused you some grief!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week Vee!
i'M having fun in iPiccy, too. :))
ReplyDeleteI love the mosaic with lots of small pics...very dramatic! And the lilacs are lovely! I was just over to link and saw lilacs on Mary's post and hopped over here to see yours! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo quilt, or at least I can image it so, with yellow borders in between. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Love lilacs. Ours are done for the year, but I cut them every day and brought them in while they bloomed.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and mosaic...I am absolutely mad for lilacs. Love the color and the scent...glorious!
ReplyDeleteLovely,Vee, I just can't seem to get a mosaic completed, but I keep trying. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSue
I favorite flower. And we can't grow them here. :(
ReplyDeleteBeautiful mosaics - worth every minute for our viewing pleasure!
ReplyDeleteI've looked at the site and played around a bit but haven't had time to try it for real. For now I'm sticking to Picassa until the wedding is over and I can spend some time playing with the computer.
Beautiful! You make such beautiful mosaics!
ReplyDeleteDeanna
Lovely mosaics!! I'm always amazed at how fast time goes when you're working on something like this.
ReplyDeleteTwo hours well spent, the mosaics are beautiful! Love the effects and the photo's. Lilacs are my favorite. So pretty. So are the azalea's!
ReplyDeleteOh Vee, you are so adventurous. I still haven't ventured beyond Picasa - I really must one day. I love the light in these photos, and the way the lilacs stand out against the background. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful mosaics! I just love lilacs.
ReplyDeleteYour mosaics are just fabulous! I have only really tried Picasa for my creations. I might have to venture further if creations like yours are possible. Not sure if I'd have a couple of hours to spare though!
ReplyDeleteI love all your different photoscape mosaics, Vee. Someday I'll have to invest in that program. I love lilacs and wish they, along with azaleas, would last all summer long.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully arranges images, beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour lilac mosaics are gorgeous! (I think I can smell the lilacs.) And, like Lorrie, I admire your adventurous spirit in the world of photo editing. I tend to stay in one place. If I venture somewhere new, I am pestering my daughter for help every step of the way.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your sweet lilacs!
The mosaic is really pretty! I wish my lilacs were still blooming, but they are long gone now. But! I have honeysuckle blooming right now and they smell heavenly even tho they're not as pretty as the lilacs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos, Vee.
ReplyDeleteI also loved your moonbeam picture.
I love gazing out my windows at night or in the wee hours of the morning just to see whats going on out there.
Hey Vee! I stumbled upon your site and loved looking around here! Beautiful photo's, beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower!
Blessings!
Jackie
I love lilacs and your pretty lilac mosaic. You did beautiful work with the photos and mosaic. Have a wonderful week ahead.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous mosaics and beautiful lilacs! I'm afraid to try another program other than Picasa since I find myself spending WAY too much time playing with collages already :)
ReplyDeleteHey, it's lookin like summer there again! I'm nuts for lilacs and mine are finished. How beautiful! You are a true artist. We are finally getting the much needed rain and the corn is up in several areas. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteDeb
These are amazing! Not only are these beautiful...I appreciate them, too, because I realize the patience and time it must have taken to create them.
ReplyDeleteYou always have wonderful surprises!
Let's start by saying that I love lilacs, Vee. Your mosaics are beautiful and the checkerboard one is especially intriguing. Your creative juices were flowing!
ReplyDeleteWow, they look awesome. Maybe I should visit this place:)
ReplyDeleteLilacs...so lovely.

Oh dear. . . I know the feeling of being lost in technology -- lost as in trapped, held captive. . . in both the good sense and the not-so-good. Your results are lovely. I adore lilacs. Mine are budded but not quite in bloom.
ReplyDeleteThese are some of the prettiest mosaics I've seen! I wish my lilacs were still blooming. I miss the fragrance when I open the garden gate.
ReplyDeleteLove the colours of your mosaics...the lilac and green. A lovely spring quilt! It's lilac season over here now too.
ReplyDeletei love your mosaics, and i adore lilacs.
ReplyDeleteso this was a winner for me! our
springs turn hot so quickly, that sweet
lilacs don't last long.
our azaleas have been gone for weeks!
your prolonging spring for me. :)
I always enjoy your Monday Mosaics...thanks for sharing those lilacs. My white one is just opening up.
ReplyDeleteOh how I love lilacs! Your mosaics are just stuns. I also love playing around with pictures. I am going to have to check this site out. But better do it when I have some time it sounds like, haha! ENJOY your day...
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful mosaic! love your lilacs :)
ReplyDeleteI love lilacs and your pictures are really pretty. I wonder what program you're using? I've tried the new PicMonkey program and it always seems to crash on me. I went back to Picasa and I'm learning it! Hope you're having a nice day!
ReplyDeleteI really like the checkerboard affect on your mosaic, Vee! It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWow that was special. Looked like a very colourful checkerboard. Game anyone. Valerie
ReplyDeleteViolets and azaleas don't like south Texas....I'll admire and love yours.....beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see your lilacs and azaleas - things are just popping out of the ground here and it's lovely to see the green leaves. I looked back on what i'd missed and enjoyed your culling post right to the end - I agree with you about the never in a hundred years "quote" I may print it out and frame it. I need to remember that as I sort through a lifetime of things saved because someday I might use them for something. I culled my fabric and donated it to our local group - "Quilting for Humanity" and will enjoy seeing it used in the many quilts the groups will make when they begin again in September. Best of luck as you forge ahead - or are you done?
ReplyDeleteThese are Gorgeous,k how marvelous, you should turn this into tiles, or get them printed and framed in white frames, or make into postal greeting cards, can I say...beautiful~
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful mosaic!
ReplyDeleteI understand about the challenge, as I am the same..Got to get to the finish, but yours is so worth it!
