Your white lilacs are so crisp and clean looking. I have not seen any white in our neighbourhood and mine are not quite blooming yet. Our long weekend has been glorious. Judith
I wish I knew the fragrance of lilacs. The name alone sounds beautiful. Thanks for mentioning Elizabeth Eliot. She's a remarkable, wise woman from whom I've had the pleasure of meeting.
Wow, Vee!! This is such an interesting mosaic! I've never seen one with text before, and I love your White Lilac photos. I've read about White Lilacs, but I've never actually seen one. I've seen a few with the actual lilac color blossoms, but they don't grow as well in the south because our winters don't get cold enough. I think they smell just heavenly. :) This is a lovely mosaic, Vee.
Thanks for your visit and kind comments. Tulip Grove is a pretty mansion. I've never seen Lee's home, but I saw Mt. Vernon when I was a child (my grandparents lived nearby in Maryland). I LOVE Mt. Vernon, but you're right; it's not really an antebellum southern plantation like you see in the deep south. I'd love to visit Natchez Mississippi someday.
I love these images and I adore Lilacs. They have all been spent for my area. Hmmm, wonder if there are any re blooming Lilacs, or longer lasting ones...may have to check that out. Happy week~
I really love lilacs! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love lilacs and I can't grow them here. I'll have to enjoy yours! Beautiful!

ReplyDeleteWhite lilacs are so beautiful. I don't have any so I'm glad I can enjoy yours. Too bad they haven't yet invented scratch and sniff screens.
