Documenting Christmas

Made a liar out of myself again. I finally came to and realized that the New Year arrives the day after tomorrow! I don't want to be sharing Christmas news in 2014 hence the documenting.

~Before and (Nearly) After the Tree~

 ~John opening a book—always a good way to keep one occupied~

 ~Her favorite color this year~

~The Grands with Mom and Dad~

~fascinating chit-chat between John, Michelle, and Me while watching the sledders~

~Larger Family Gathering (12) on Friday Evening, December 27~

And fun times were enjoyed by all...I hope. (My son is wearing an interesting expression in that parting shot.)

The cheese ball was delicious! (Even if it is shaped like an octopus — I ate octopus once. Never again. Now cheese balls are another story! My nieces made it...those two could keep Pinterest humming right along.)

Thanks for stopping by. I have yet to make it around to everyone. It's my goal!

  2. So glad you popped in to document your family Christmas celebrations. It looks and sounds like a wonderful time was had by all. Your little sledders had me on the edge of my seat as they headed for the tree. I'm sure they were in control all along.
Wishing you and your family health and happiness in the new year.

  7. Oh my gosh ... what fun! I love seeing the family bedlam of the Christmas morning rip and tear! It's the same, I suspect, for most families. As for that octopus cheese platter ... so clever! Bet the boys loved it! Happy New Year!

I think I'm still recovering from Christmas. It's 10:45 a.m. and I just got up from a nap. Pitiful! ~ Abby

  12. By appearances you had a busy and happy Christmas, some out door activity as well. Your tree is pretty and your whole house looks so warm and cozy. I heard today more snow is headed up your way. Are you keeping your tree up for awhile?

Looks like a good family gathering. I would have enjoyed looking out the window to see other people enjoying the snow. I would stay in the cozy house to enjoy that...

  17. It looked like a very happy Christmas at your house, Vee! I thought for a minute that you adopted the Italian custom of eating fish when I saw that octopus--lol! Before I met my husband the thought of eating octopus or calamari or salt cod was foreign to me--now I love to eat all three! I could not find octopus in Colorado but after searching high and klow I did manage ti find the calamri and salt cod. :)

Loved the video and your voice.

Have a very happy and healthy 2014!

  21. So glad that your Christmas was wonderful. I thought that was an octopus - loved the sword!!! I eat calimari all the time, but I guess that's squid not octopus:)

    Happy New Year!

  22. It looks like you had a great Christmas Vee. Lots of family and food and fellowship. The best kind! Hard to believe it's all over now. I'm itching to take down the tree and trimmings but will wait until Wednesday or Thursday or the next snowstorm that will keep me inside. Did you hear there is another one coming later this week???? I don't know where we'll put it all. Happy New Year dear Vee and to your family. May it be blessed! Hugs, Pam
