Note Card Party Reminder

Yes, we made it safely through the storm and clean-up. Clean-up is always the worst part. There's another storm coming overnight that may prove to be a problem. It involves ice and I don't like ice anywhere except in cold beverages and sculptures.
This means that Mr. Linky will be up even earlier than usual (probably tomorrow morning the 17th) just in case I lose power. If I'm not about, hold down the fort and carry on. I'll show up as soon as possible.

Remember that the real date for December's Note Card Party is Wednesday the 18th through Thursday morning at 10. (Believe me, I understand how busy we all are at this point in December. No pressure!)

How is it looking for your corner?

  1. We are having sunny skies and temps in the low 50's today. This week is supposed to be mostly sunny and in the 50's. Lovely weather, but would like a little snow for Christmas.

    Hoping you don't lose power!

  2. Glad you survived the storm and the clean up and hope the next one isn't too bad. This month I am ready ahead of time, imagine that on top of remembering it! Yes same weather as Penny above. Wishing for some real winter but I'm guessing it will come eventually. Have a cozy safe day.

  3. It sneaked up on me but I'll get it ready! Hope you have a good day. We're starting out cold but it should be a nice sunny day in the 60s....70s later in the week. Enjoy your day!

  4. We had ice Saturday night but by morning the roads were clear and it was beautiful outside! The ice on the trees didn't last long. We may have some light snow tomorrow but it is going to be 50 degrees this coming weekend! Wild!

  5. Vee...still trying to decide exactly which photos I will use. I hope I can get the linky withour any difficulty this time :) If you are tired of your snow, please send me some here to NC. Like Penny, our forcast is pretty much the same...sunny and 50's for the next few days but close to 70 by the end of the week! I guess I should give up on the idea of a white Christmas :( Looking forward to the party!

  6. Thank you for the reminder Vee. Wow, that month went fast! We got 4 more inches of snow last night after all was said and done (cleaned up) but the sun is beautiful today on the new fallen snow. I hope you fare well in the impending ice storm. Take care and have a wonderful day!

  7. Lots of snow, and ice on the way, and it's not even winter yet! Thanks for the reminder Vee.
Take care over the next couple of days and we'll see you when we see you! :-)

  8. Mother Nature is testing our strength, me thinks! Although, our weather has been in the 50s, my grands are coming in for Christmas and I pray they'll have safe travels. Stay warm and cozy, XOXO

  9. I'll be joining in Vee - despite the busy season, staying grounded with these monthly 'to do lists' is good - keeps me sane perhaps, LOL!!

Stay safe, especially if you have ice. Snow I love, and hope we get some for Christmas, ice is another story and after having some bad ice storms even this far south in the past years, I have to say they are very frightening both being without power for extended periods and for those having to get out on the roads.

Stay warm and take care. Sending good wishes.

  10. Glad you survived the storm. I can't believe it's Note Card Party already. I'm not sure if I will get a post done or not. But it's always a fun party.
I hope you won't have an ice storm. Have a great day!

  11. Oh no, I hope you don't get ice! We had a wee bit of ice, then rain, then snow over the weekend. It's supposed to be 44 today, so that should melt it all away. Actually, I'm liking the little bit of snow. It looks so pretty and Christmasy.

Thanks for the reminder about the party. I did save a couple of photos from yesterday's runaround that I'll use. Now I only have to come up with a couple more.

    Stay safe and warm!

  12. Note Card party time already! Yikes. I need to do some thinking. But I'm off to school this morning and possibly tomorrow. I'll pull something from my archives. This is always such a fun party.
Frosty here this morning. Temperatures hovering just around zero. (Celsius)
Hope the ice won't stay long in your corner.

    Hugs to you,

  16. We got about 5 inches of snow but it's supposed to be around 40 degrees by Friday and then cold again. We may lose some of it if it warms up. I hate ice, I hope you don't get any more!

  17. Oh no, ice can often mean no power!
    I can't join the Note Card party-darn...
But I'll be back to visit and view, for sure.

  18. We had 2 more inches of snow last night. I hope that you don't get any ice.

  19. Goodness, I hope that you and John will be OK! I despise ice storms. Of course, I have good reason to hate them with a passion, since I was in a terrible auto accident with a semi-truck during an ice storm some 33 years ago. My body hasn't worked right ever since, so it haunts me to this day. The weather is predicted to be OK where we're heading for the next week. It will be warmer on the SC coast and cooler in the NC mountains. We'll probably have rain on the westward trip.

I won't be able to join the party this time. We've been taking care of last minute business today, and doing laundry and packing tomorrow. Oh, we have to deliver gifts to neighbors yet too! So I don't have time to go around and do blog visiting. I always love participating, so I will miss it! Hmm, I read your comment to me and now you have me wondering what mischief you are up to! I will have to pop in very quickly tomorrow and see what is afoot, LOL.

  20. I love your line about the only "good' kind of ice...and I agree with you! (I am wincing at Donna's comment above mine. ~shudder~)

We have had a few snafus around here lately...which have messed up my blog plans and my project plans and my to-do list. I may blog about it if I can fit it in! I am not sure whether I will be able to join the party...but I thank you for the reminder. I need such things!

    Stay warm and safe! Hugs...

  21. It has been snowing every day here and we are liking it. At least for now - it is so different for us to have so much snow and here the kids still go to school!!! I love it.

  22. We got hit by a snow storm all weekend to . It does look pretty out there but down right cold . We are to have some more snow and even rain then it will freeze they say so yes looks like we all are in for a mess . Thanks for sharing and hosting . Have a good day and stay safe and cozy .

  23. Oh yikes, I'm not a fan of ice either, it can stay off the roads, power lines or anywhere it will cause all kinds of trouble. Stay safe.

  24. Glad you weathered the storm, I hope this next round is not as bad as they think! I miss the days when the weathermen always made mistakes. Stay warm, Vee! Unfortunately I have to miss another party but
I will be back to visit. xo

  25. Our temperatures were an unusual low 60's today! Almost all our past snow melted. I know this weather won't last so I took advantage of it and went for a long walk today with J in her stroller. Now my knees are aching..lol..can't win!

  26. Had a calm sunny, but very cold day today. Got lots done today on my day off so feeling more organized. Take care over there!

  27. All of that snow I shoveled yesterday has returned due to the wind and drifting. I don't know if I'll be able to get out of the driveway without calling to have someone come in to remove it. I don't mind this when it's a cold weekend and I don't have anywhere to go, but not today!

  28. I agree I like my ice in water not under my feet. We have had bunches of snow, blowing, falling, swirling around and has kept me from town today. I love snow days though it gives me a chance to catch up on blog friends and backgammon. I only have been winning at one these days. Love your post card and idea, thanks for hosting, have a look at my Pinterest snowmen you will love them. Merry Christmas

  29. Sorry I didn't get a post ready for the Note Card Party. I have been under the weather so I'm not stressing out about doing much posting. I am going to try to get around to visit some of those that have linked up. The cards are always so beautiful.

  30. I have seen some of the note cards around, and they are all just so beautiful! This is such a great idea that you came up with. How long has it been since you started hosting? I would be afraid to guess. In my corner of the world, it was -6° with winds gusting up to 40 mph when we left church this morning. Not to worry - I am now hunkered down in the family room where the football game is blaring and the fire is blazing.
