More Questions
This just in: I can no longer get into bed the way I used to. And I mean recently used to. So I thought I'd ask a few personal questions today and, if you don't mind, you could answer them. If you do mind, you can skip off shaking your head over how some bloggers sink so low so fast.
source
1. Do you climb into bed on all fours or do you sit on the bed and swing your feet in?
2. While we're on the subject, do you get into your car by standing on one leg while sticking the other one in, sitting down, and hauling the remaining leg after you (now don't be ridiculous, that is not three legs) or do you sit down and swing both feet in together?
3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder?
4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it?
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in?
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it?
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you?
Thanks for your participation in advance. A gal has to know!
Good Morning, Vee. Oh this is fun. Having just moved, every muscle in my old body hurts!!! I sit on the edge of the bed to get in. I am guilty of putting one leg in the car which hurts/twists my knee; I remember daddy teaching me how to be lady-like getting into the car! After a few mishaps, I go for the step ladder when climbing. I tackle most things but setting alarm clocks, new phones, remotes etc. I leave up to John. I have never learned to swim, so I avoid all water! I lick ice cream cones. When shopping, John puts his cane in the cart and hangs on to/pushes it.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a very nice day!
lol--sorry had to chuckle this morning..I have to shake the cobwebs off..not much sleep last night..anyways..
ReplyDelete1. We have antique bed that is about 3 ft off the ground, so how is a running start sound? Have to jump onto the bed.

3. chair
4. Depending..usually my husband, as I am short.
5. No swimming holes, I don't like lakes or oceans, lol. Usually one foot in, lol.
6. Bite it, lol
7. He pushes or should I say..leannnnnnnnsssssss,lol
Thanks Vee for the thoughtful questions (wink and smiles).
LOL!! Great questions. I get in and out of bed a different way each time. I keep the step ladder in the kitchen and I use it. I don't want to be in 'I've fallen and I can't get up commercial.'
ReplyDeleteVee...here are my answers:
ReplyDelete1. I sit on the bed and swing in both legs
2. My Jeeps is rather high up but I normally go in one leg and then the other. If I am parked beside a ditch, I usually have to step up on the running board since I have rather short legs.
3. I will use a chair if it is sturdy (and doesn't have wheels or rockers) but there are times when a chair just won't do and I get my step-stool.
4. Almost always DIY...I am the fixer (most times) for whatever is broken, etc. Hubby is NOT a a fixer unless you want a cracked toilet bowl after pounding the seat with a hammer to get the old seat off. Yes, this really happened.
5. Cannonball...I do not want a broken neck :(
6. I start out biting the ice cream, then lick it down to where I have to bite the rest of it for it be be all-y gone-y.
7. I always go shopping alone or I spend twice as much and have a cart full of junk food. When the few and far between times that we might be together, I would push the cart, if at all possible.
It was fun catching up on your blog Vee, now to answer the questions.
ReplyDelete1. Our bed is high so I have to climb in.
2. We have a mini van so I guess I'm standing on one leg while I kind of slide in :)
3. Nearest chair I'm too lazy to go to the garage.
4. I start off doing it myself and more than half the time hubby has to come and rescue me.
5. Cannonball in for sure.
6. Lick the ice cream, teeth can't handle the cold.
7. I usually push and he will go fetch the items for me :)
Fun! I love your questionnaires...including coming back later to read what everyone else had to say!
ReplyDelete1. Swing my feet in.
2. I'm afraid I'm one leg at a time on this one.
3. Always the (more convenient) chair. (I'm lazy.)
4. That depends on whether it is something that I can wait for.
5. Neither. Tippy-toe in from the shallows.
6. Lick.
7. I ALWAYS push the cart. I even take a cart when I'm only getting an item or two. I hate carrying things around, including my purse.
I'll be back later...
1. Do you climb into bed on all fours or do you sit on the bed and swing your feet in? I climb in on all fours!
ReplyDelete2. While we're on the subject, do you get into your car by standing on one leg while sticking the other one in, sitting down, and hauling the remaining leg after you (now don't be ridiculous, that is not three legs) or do you sit down and swing both feet in together? I throw myself in...I jump in...hop and flop? hahaha! I love to GO!
3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder? most of our chairs are on casters, better get the step ladder
4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it? if hubby is close, he helps...if not, I dive in. I hate to wait!
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in? can I wade in?
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it? I give it to my hubby
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you? He's sweet to push!
I LOVE answering questions. Why don't I ever ask any? (this question is for extra points) Hugs, Diane
Good morning! Well you won't believe this but as for number 1 I am honestly not sure but you can be sure I will be paying close attention when I get in it tonight, lol. I "think" I kind of sit down and quickly roll in, lol. 2. I put one leg in, sit down, and swing the other in. 3. Definitely the nearest chair. 4. If I am anxious to get it done I do it myself, but USUALLY I wait for hubby. 5. Cannon ball, lol. 6. I do a combination I think. 7. I push for sure as I use it to lean on with these knees. This was both fun and interesting! Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteSo...number 1 and 2 will have to wait till I go and see how I get in. I honestly can't remember.
ReplyDeleteStep ladder all the way. I try the challenging thing and if I can't manage I let Dear do it when he gets home. No jumping in any type of swimming hole. I used to jump. Now if I go in at all it's a slow wade...
Lick and bite especially bite when I get to the cone. I can't think unless I'm pushing the cart...
This is FUN!!
ReplyDelete1. I sit on the bed and swing my legs up and slide them under the covers.
2. Getting in the car is a trick! When I FIRST get in I sit down and swing. I put my purse down to the left side on the floor. But say I get out of the car to pick up Mother or run in somewhere - I stand on one leg and thread my other leg OVER the purse and DOWN the little valley of space to the floorboard and then get my other leg in any way I can. It IS a trick and not pretty to watch!
3. If possible I climb on whatever but my little stepladder gets a lot of use!
4. I do things myself when I can.....
5. I can't swim and absolutely can NOT dive so it's a cannon ball for me and a quick grab for a floater!
6. I lick AND bite my ice cream. I am versatile like that!
7. We each get a cart!
8. oh, WAIT!! We're through! That was FUN!!
Fun!
ReplyDelete1. I usually climb in. Bed is high-ish, legs are short. Not easy to sit and swing legs in so I climb in.
2. Generally, standing one leg in and then slide in.
3. Our step ladder is in the basement so I just grab a chair!
4. If I can do it I will!
5. Hmm, mostly swim in a pool and climb in with a ladder! But if I was at a swimming hole it would be Cannonball!!!!
6. I like until I get down to the cone, then bite!
7. I like to have my own cart. I don't like to carry anything, even my purse! So a cart it is.
I. sit then swing feet in
ReplyDelete2. one leg in then sit
3. step-ladder
4. husband
5. cannonball (but I wade in)
6. lick
7. I push he buys and cooks
I have a stool for my side of the bed... I put one leg up, swing and sit and bring other leg up.
ReplyDeleteI put one leg in the car then my butt, then my other leg.
Forbidden now from stepstools, but I used to just use a chair.
Ok....as far a r. Since I am from German decent....I will do my best to do it myself. Sometimes, I just can't!
I will NOT jump in at all to a pool. Steps for me.
Bite the icecream.
I have my own cart. He has his.
Hey here is another interesting fact for us. When we go to the movies.....he goes to one, and I go to another. Our kids absolutely crack up!
Very interesting!
ReplyDelete1. sit and swing legs in.
2. one leg in first, sit, then the other.
3. almost always a stepping stool
4. half and half. I try myself, then if I can't do it, I ask Tim.
5.Canonball!
6. Lick until I get to the cone.
7. We both have our own carts.
Have a great day, Vee.
My answers are almost identical to Cheryl's.
ReplyDelete1. Swing my legs in
2. One leg at a time
3. Usually a chair is sufficient for me
4. Half and half. Sometimes I ask my husband, sometimes I just do it
5. Wade in (plus, I've never learned how to dive)
6. lick
7. I push the cart (on the rare occasions we are in the store together, we usually split up - I send him searching for specific items)
1. I sit on the bed and swing them over - or just collapse onto it, if it's been a rough day!
ReplyDelete2. Bum in, then legs.
3. Step ladder. I have a nice old one in the corner of the kitchen. I'm short, so this is a lot safer than climbing on a chair.
4. Depends on the challenge. If it involves a power tool, I'll wait for The Great Dane.
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in?
6. Lick. I like it to last as long as possible.
7. He pushes - it's the only way I can keep him from free-ranging and coming back with odd items. Of course, I try NOT to grocery shop with him.
Here I am, back to enter #5. How could I have forgotten?........the old lifeguard that I am - and I met The Great Dane in a swimming pool. So......the answer is..........If I know the swimming hole, I'll dive. It it's a new-to-me swimming hole I'd walk or slither in from the bank - once a lifeguard, always a lifeguard!
Delete
ReplyDelete1. Sit and swing.
2. This depends on how my back is feeling. I should always sit and swing, but usually it is one leg at a time.
3. Usually a chair.
4. I have to have the contractors handy man come help.
5. Neither ... wade in.
6. Lick
7. I pushed
Well, first off, yeah, this is BIT personal! :-) But I suppose I can reveal all to my blogging friends.
ReplyDelete1. Do you climb into bed on all fours or do you sit on the bed and swing your feet in?
Sit on the edge of my bed and swing my feet in. For years. Ever since about 28 years ago I started having trouble with my hip.
2. While we're on the subject, do you get into your car by standing on one leg while sticking the other one in, sitting down, and hauling the remaining leg after you (now don't be ridiculous, that is not three legs) or do you sit down and swing both feet in together?
I sit down on the seat and swing my legs in after. Same reason as for #1
3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder?
Nearest chair unless it's a swivel. And I would use my lightweight aluminum ladder except that it's full of plants.
4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it?
Depends upon what it is. If I waited for anyone, it would be my husband, not anyone else, and it would be when he's not busy, which is a rare occasion from April through October.
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in?
Thanks, but I'm not jumping or diving into anyone's swimming hole. But when I did, it was cannonball. I didn't like the idea of my head going into the water first. Yikes. (okay, I know, technically...)
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it?
I eat it, as fast as possible while it's still as hard as possible. Otherwise you might as well just get a milkshake.
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you?
Right now it's hard to push a cart and use my cane at the same time. I like it when he pushes the cart, cuz I can go here and there to gather things and bring them back to the cart while he moseys along, looking at things WAY too long. LOL
Okay, that's about as personal as I get. This great reveal should be good for about 6 months now.
1. I sit and then swing my legs in the bed. After knee replacement several years ago, I had to get a new bed that was at the same elevation of my butt. The older bed got relegated to the guest bedroom. I would need a pole vault to get into it.
ReplyDelete2. Sometimes I can stand on one leg and hop into the car, sometimes not. It depends on whether it it my car or Jim's and whether I am a passenger or driver. Both cars are at different elevations (significantly) and the leg with the knee replacement is very uncooperative.
3. There is no way that I can climb on a chair. Even a step-ladder is difficult. The leg with the knee replacement is virtually worthless for any kind of climbing.
4. Unfortunately, I can no longer wait for Jim to do any kind of challenging task. Either I go ahead and do it, risking life and limb, or else I have to hire the work to be done. Just this past weekend, I was wondering how I am ever going to get things down from the top kitchen shelves. I guess they will stay there for the rest of my days because they are totally unreachable for me without a full-sized ladder.
5. I don't jump into swimming holes. My days of jumping have been over for decades. My legs and arms simply can't manage the actions. If I had a 10 year-old body and no sense of self-preservation, I would cannonball.
6. Lick, lick, lick, with lots of mmmm noises.
7. When we used to grocery shop together, I was the cart pusher and he was the shopper (since he did the cooking). Now I push the cart, shop, and cook.
1. Sit and swing
ReplyDelete2. the first method you mentioned
3. Never a chair as they are all rickety, I use a stepstool
4. Wait for hubby or someone else, the grands are good for getting things in difficult spaces
5. neither
6. always have it in a dish with a cone on top, but I would be a biter.
7. I push the cart
I sit down on the bed and in the car and swing my legs in. Yes, I have been know to climb on chairs, drat, that can be dangerous too. Some things I od myself and other Ted does and Some times we both fix things together. There is no way, no how, I am jumping into any swimming hole. Well lick the top of the ice cream down to the cone then eat it.LOL. Ted and I seem to take turns pushing the cart. We get out faster if I push. Hope this helps. xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeleteYou are funny…I love your questions:
ReplyDelete1. I sit on the bed then swing my legs in

6.I bite it
7. my hubby pushes the cart
:)-)
Vee, haha, sometimes I wonder what I do all day. I do things like answer blog questions that take me time to figure out! I had to go into my bedroom and check for number one -- it's actually some weird combination you didn't describe! One knee up then swing in. One leg in the car. nearest chair. Wait for someone. Too scared to dive. Lick it. My husband doesn't go shopping with me.
ReplyDeleteThe last time you did this there was a hidden question that your sister was afraid to ask people about tags. I wonder if there is a hidden question in here? :)
Hahaha..
ReplyDelete1.i swing in
2 I haven't noticed how I sit.
3.I use the step ladder.
4 I lick ot down till I get to my fingers
4. Wait for my honey. .lol
5 I walk into a pool. Dont know how to dive.
6 I push cart... hahaa

Chuckling here and curious to know what caused the change in your method of getting into bed? Was it the recent toe incident? As for me:
ReplyDelete1. Sit and swing (I think... will pay closer attention tonight).
2. Butt first followed by both legs. According to my chiropractor this is the only way to do it esp. if you have lower back issues.
3. The nearest chair, unless the step ladder happens to be handy (which it usually isn't).
4. I usually wait for help if I can stand to wait that long.
5. Neither. I was in the swimming hole over the weekend and it was a slow climb into the water.
6. Lick.
7. I think we take turns.
That was fun!
Work for the government in the past, did you? *smile* Just kidding. Ok, I'll bite ...
ReplyDelete1. Swing.
2. Standing on one leg while sticking the other one in but I lift my butt up slightly & place it squarely on the seat. Never drag one's posterior. It tears up the stitching after 13 zillion dismounts.
3. Step-ladder.
4. I do it myself.
5. Is that the only choices? I prefer sliding in gently.
6. Lick.
7. I push.
Did I pass? *giggle* ~:)
Oh boy - these questions are wildly random - here goes
ReplyDelete1. I have no idea how I get into bed. I'll pay attention this evening.
2. I step in, then sit, then put my other leg in, but I think I get out by swinging both legs around.
3. The handiest chair. Or I'll hoist myself up to the counter and kneel on it, although those days are numbered.
4. I attempt it myself and Tim rescues me when needed.
5. Cannonball, if I know the water is reasonable warm. If it's too cold I gingerly wade in.
6. I don't really like ice cream, but on the odd occasion I'll lick it, then bite it.
7. I push. I cook. We rarely go shopping together.
Are you going to tabulate these answers and reveal the numbers?
1. Do you climb into bed on all fours or do you sit on the bed and swing your feet in? Sit and swing
ReplyDelete2. While we're on the subject, do you get into your car by standing on one leg while sticking the other one in, sitting down, and hauling the remaining leg after you (now don't be ridiculous, that is not three legs) or do you sit down and swing both feet in together? Standing on one leg while sticking the other one in
3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder? Nearest chair
4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it?
It depends on the task.
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in? Cannonball
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it? Both
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you? He pushes
Vee, you are too funny! But here goes nothing!
ReplyDelete1). I sit and en swing legs over
2). Right leg in, swing in rest of body and then pull in left leg!
3). Step stool only! Better yet, wait for a tall friend to stop by!
4). Depends on what happened, but I am very limited with what I can do, so I have to call for help
5). Neither, can't swim
6). Lick! I only bite the cone!
7). i always push the cart, I need support when walking around, not kidding! Even when I am with friends, I always push the cart
ReplyDelete1. I climb in since the bed is higher than my hip. In order to use the sit-and-swing method I'd have to jump up and backwards first. Not happenin!
2. One leg at a time. Not the best approach when wearing a skirt but I almost never wear a skirt so the world is safe.
3. Step ladder. I'm deathly afraid of heights, even one step up. Really.
4. Wait. It gives me the opportunity to show how much I know rather than how much I can do.
5. I do not jump into swimming holes. If I can't ease in, I ain't goin. Unless someone throws me in, in which case somebody's gettin' a beat-down when I get out.
6. Lick. It gives me brain freeze to even see someone bite their ice cream.
7. I push the cart. Unless I send Hubby to the store on his own. I'll ask him what he does when I'm not there to do it for him.
Funny! My bed is high, and I seem to have arthritis in my hip now, so I have a step stool. 2. I have an older , small SUV and it's easy to get into. We have been looking at new cars and one was so low, I needed a hand getting out! I'm tiny and I was stuck. LOL 3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder? I usually use the step ladder.
ReplyDelete4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it? It depends what it is.
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in? Neither. I might put my foot in.
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it? Yesterday, I spilled a cone all over myself even though they put it in a cup for me.
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you? Well usually my spouse, because I don't like germs.
1. Do you climb into bed on all fours or do you sit on the bed and swing your feet in?
ReplyDeleteI sit on bed and swing legs in after my tushie is there. It's gotta tough though because our bed is super high so I kinda "butt leap." Not very graceful, but there it is. LOL.
2. While we're on the subject, do you get into your car by standing on one leg while sticking the other one in, sitting down, and hauling the remaining leg after you (now don't be ridiculous, that is not three legs) or do you sit down and swing both feet in together? same as above
3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder? hrm, step ladder, huh? lol
4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it? I have an allergy to challenging tasks. Part of our marriage vows was a constant Honey Do list. He's earning his Angel Wings with me, haha.
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in? I jump - I grew up on an island and when I was 7 one of the neighbor boys dived, hit a boulder and died. My mom was the one who drove him to the hospital - I was there, it was awful and so I JUMP. Broken legs better than broken head or neck or both.
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it? Both. Apparently it really amuses my husband that I bite ice cream. Glad to know I am not alone if you actually ASKED this question.
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you? He does all the grocery shopping. Told you I was spoiled rotten. But if we both go, and we do sometimes....we BOTH get a cart. He does 80% of the list and he usually finds me in the magazine section reading Tea Time, Romantic Homes or Victoria. : - )
OK question for you: are you a typewriter corn on cob eater going row by row, a "roundabout" eater and twirl your cob as you consume, or of the cut-it-off-all-lady-like kind of fresh corn diner? : - )
ReplyDelete1. Do you climb into bed on all fours or do you sit on the bed and swing your feet in? I use the sit down and swing my legs in method. Before doing that though, I open my night table drawer and apply lip balm... every night without fail.
2. While we're on the subject, do you get into your car by standing on one leg while sticking the other one in, sitting down, and hauling the remaining leg after you (now don't be ridiculous, that is not three legs) or do you sit down and swing both feet in together?
I put my right leg in first and the rest just sort of follows.
3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder? Someone recently saw me grabbing a bar stool and hoisting myself up in one motion and then getting down the same way to reach something out of the top cabinet. They were impressed. So.. then I was impressed with myself too.
4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it?
What would be challenging. .. filling the fuel on the car? I wait... as long as possible.
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in?
Depends who is in the swimming hole. I like to show off now and then. Are you surprised?
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it?
I rarely eat the cone part. I lick until licking doesn't get me any icecream and then I scoop it out with my tongue. I probably look like a cow.
On the other hand, if the cone is a freshly pressed waffle cone, I bite once I'm at the cone level.
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you?
Do you know that Terry worked for 30 some years at a grocery store and never brought home groceries for me? He claimed it was his way of getting me to come for coffee.
However, when we shop together, he not only pushes the carts, he rearranges things in the cart as I toss things in. =)
Off to read the other answers now... and hoping we get to know yours.
1. Even though our bed is very high (and I'm very short), I put my knee on the mattress and pull/fall into bed.
ReplyDelete2. Sit down and swing feet in.
3. Step-ladder
4. Do it myself.
5. If you had said swimming pool, I would slide off the side. Swimming hole means natural water source to me so I'm thinking that I would wear shoes and tread carefully.
6. Both
7. He does.
Now are we going to hear what your answers are?!

Roxy
1. Sit and swing first one, then the other (high bed); 2. Was just out in the car so I could check--one leg at a time 3. Used to use chair but inherited my mom's small kitchen two-step ladder which I keep by the kitchen; 4. I try to do it myself; 5. I "slip" into a pool or walk into the lake or ocean; 6. lick the ice cream; 7. If I want to flit around the store to get stuff faster than he goes, he pushes; if my knees are bad I lean and push.
ReplyDelete1. I didn't really know so I just did it. : ) I face my side of the bed and then put my left knee on the bed and then lay down on my side while I put my other leg in bed.
ReplyDelete2. Passenger in truck - left foot on running board then right foot. Left foot in, sit, right foot in. Driver in Vette - right foot in and sit at the same time, then the left foot just follows. It is kind of like sliding right in it.
3. Usually nearest chair, but sometimes I get the step stool out.
4. Try on my own, if can't then ask for help.
5. Dive
6. Lick
7. Husband
This was fun. : )
I used to be an orthopedic nurse. The best way for your back and bum and everything else is just to back up to the bed towards the top. If you have a chest of drawers or end table you can use it to place your hand on as you swing your legs up . You can do one at a time. ....similar for the car. The easiest way is to stand with your back to the seat, sit down, twist hips in and you can bring up one leg at a time....
ReplyDeleteFor me
#3--call my husband to do it or get a stepladder
#4--leave the bugs and the tech to my husband . I handle the money and most of everything else.
#5--Climb in gingerly and carefully. I cannonballed off the dock at the lake and went down like 12 ft immediately and struggled to get back up.
#6 Lick
#7 -We share , but actually rarely shop together

Yikes! Is this a test?
ReplyDelete1. I climb into bed with my left knee first because my right hip is acting up for some reason. Age?
2.I drive a Toyota Pre Runner and it's a bit high so I grab the handle over the door...grab the steering wheel and hike up and in.
3. I try first. If it's impossible such as not enough strength..I call PH. Usually we do difficult jobs together. I hold the ladder..hand things down..or whatever.
4. I have my own little white metal fold out step ladder. I love it. NO..stopped climbing on a chair a long time ago. (okay..now and then I do!)
5. Ease in slowly. Hate water over my head.
6. Both. Usually I bite probably.
7. He pushes the cart when I am with him. He does 99% of the grocery shopping. I hate doing it.
I enjoyed doing this. Usually never think about things like this. :)
LOL- Well, aren't YOU the nosy one? Here goes!
ReplyDelete1. Do you climb into bed on all fours or do you sit on the bed and swing your feet in? I guess I sit down and then swing my feet up in.
2. While we're on the subject, do you get into your car by standing on one leg while sticking the other one in, sitting down, and hauling the remaining leg after you (now don't be ridiculous, that is not three legs) or do you sit down and swing both feet in together? I have a SUV so I put one foot on the running board-sit my butt on the seat and swing my other foot up and in.
3. Do you use the nearest chair for climbing or do you get out the step-ladder? I will step up on a chair (as long as it is a solid one)
4. When faced with a challenging task, do you do it yourself or wait for your husband/someone else to do it? I do it myself If I waited for hubby or someone else it would never get done.
5. If you are going to jump into the swimming hole, are you going to dive in or cannonball in? No cannonballs for me-I would probably sit by the edge- I don't like to be in deep water.
6. Do you lick your ice cream cone or bite it? Bite it, baby!
7. When grocery shopping with your husband, does he push the cart or do you? LOL- I have NEVER (in 36+ years grocery shopped with my hubby that I can remember). He thinks the grocery fairy keeps the pantry stocked.
Fun little list-Now I will have to see what others wrote.
Well good-ness. This will take some thinking.
ReplyDelete1. I sit and swing.
2. I can not figure out WHAT I do with the car. When I get out of my pajamas, I will go outside and figure it out.
3. I actually have stools all over the place for climbing because I'm so short. My goal is to have one in every conceivable location, and I'm pretty close. I never use a chair anymore because every single chair here right now either has an upholstered seat or a rush seat.
4. Let's see. FIRST, I start googling. Back before the internet, I would very literally make a trip to the library to find books about how to do stuff that I didn't know how to do. Then, I usually drag the husband into the project with me because he is bolder to actually try it first.
5. Oh dear friend. I do not jump into swimming holes. Around here, swimming holes have water moccasins. I do not jump into swimming pools either. I eassssse my way in. If I absolutely had to jump, I would cannonball... with my nose plugged.
Esther Williams, I am not.
6. I am like that old owl in the tootsie pop commercial. I give about two licks and then start biting it.
7. I always push the cart. He is generally too busy meandering about the place like Peter Pan looking for some unnecessary little treat to throw in the cart.
THIS WAS FUN!!!!
Glad I started my morning in blog land.
Love this...
ReplyDeleteI climb in on all fours
I step into the car then bring in the other leg
I use any available item to climb on - even a rocking chair (on the front porch to change a light bulb
I prefer to attempt things on my own first
I think that I'd wade in to a swimming hole
I always lick my ice cream and popsicles
Mr OP pushes the cart. Gorcery shopping is always after we go out for breakfast - that's how I get him to go:)
Will you share your answers?
Happy Thursday
Ok, here goes Vee...
ReplyDeleteI just sit on the bed and swing both legs in.
I put one leg into the car, sit, and swing the other leg in.
I use anything close to climb on to reach something, even the inside of a lower cabinet to reach something not too high. I'm short and need help. Sometimes I use two things--a chair and then a higher stool! Getting the ladder out of the garage is a pain.
I will attempt things, but am not afraid to ask for help.
I ease my way into water.
Mmm I lick my ice cream cones.
Sadly, I have to push my own cart now.
Well Vee, even though I'm late for this one I felt I had to participate. What great questions!
ReplyDelete1. I mostly sit on the bed and slide my legs up.
2. When I get in the car I usually seat my bum and swing my legs in. Unless it's a high truck and I climb in!
3. I usually go for the kitchen stool which wobbles a bit. It's an old hand made wooden one.
4. For a truly difficult task I go to my hubby or someone else these days.
5. Jumping into a swimming hole? Never! I can't swim.
6. I love ice cream and I lick and lick until I get to the cone then bite.
7. Who pushes the grocery store cart? Usually me and Murray goes and finds things on my list.
Now, I think I'll have a cone of ice cream. Pam
OMG, too much to think about after working all day! LOL! But I will have to think about now!
ReplyDelete1. I go in on all fours - I think.
ReplyDelete2. I sit and turn legs in.
3. I have a nice sturdy stool.
4. It depends what it is.
5. I would jump in.
6. I lick it! The last cone I had I licked it - chocolate - and it rolled all the way down my white shirt!
7. I do - definitely!
