~summer's garden 2014~
A collage of my tired old garden having nothing whatever to do with today's post. My sister called yesterday wondering what we might do today for an adventure. Fresh out of local family graves to visit, we have had to move on to something new. Hopefully, it will be something blog worthy. I do worry sometimes that you could grow bored by all the nothing going on at my little haven.
On my walk around the house last night, I found a wee touch of autumn. It looks a lot like some of those wee touches you have already noticed. It certainly feels as if there is a
chill change in the air.
Have fun today and I'll catch you later!
I'm sitting here with my morning coffee checking my friend's blogs. I hope you have a great adventure today but don't worry about us getting bored. Goodness, I come here to just say hello and see what you're up to, it's not about needing to be entertained, it's about the authentic person that you are coming through every single day. I enjoy your personality, I like that we share not always so exciting day to day life. I appreciate that you are a person like me who writes about snippets of life. I hope your day is filled with fun with your sister, it's lovely that you have a sister who wants to adventure with you!ReplyDelete
I feel that first 'maybe' touch of change, but in Texas, even though we have had a mild summer, it doesn't really change much until late September or into October.ReplyDelete
I love visiting 'your days' here. They are always cozy and warm. Have a wonderful 'sister' day. I wish mine lived closer, we have them almost every day on the phone, but it's not the same.
Good Morning Vee! I am like Kathy. I enjoy just coming over and chatting! Have a wonderful day with your sister.ReplyDelete
I can't wait to hear what you and your sister find to do for an adventure! I don't have a sister but I have a couple of friends who are just like sisters to me! We are plotting a girls weekend.ReplyDelete
I hope you two find something fun to do. I was lamenting about summer just this morning while walking the dog because it was only 54F out. This has to be the coolest August ever and the trees have been dropping leaves all month.ReplyDelete
We have a few leaves that are changing too. And they all got knocked off the trees yesterday from rain storms. Hope you find something new and fun to do! Wish I had a sister or a friend to share an adventure with on a regular basis!ReplyDelete
Not bored here at your Haven...ever.ReplyDelete
This morning it is quite humid and feel summery, but there are hints of autumn all over the place. The berries on the hedge are turning orange, the locust tree is dropping its tiny yellow leaves, and it is getting dark earlier. Autumn is my favorite season hands down...but it does feel a bit sad to see summer slipping away.
Hope your adventure is most pleasant! (Although even something as simple as going out for coffee with one's sister can be pleasant!)
Hanging out at your place via blogdom is just wonderful. Never bored, almost always relaxed and the adventures you undertake remind me of how blessed we all are that our adventures find us home and safe at the end.ReplyDelete
A photo challenge that I have always enjoyed is selecting a certain amount of miles or time to travel in any fashion. When one arrives at that time or place one looks about to find something interesting to photograph. Funny how one can find something pretty special on such an adventure.
I am never bored reading your blog, Vee.....It's you I enjoy visiting, not a list of adventures, though I enjoy reading about them........I like to see your photos and hear what you think about things. I hope it will cool off here again.....But I know it slowly will, so am not alarmed by the 86degrees forecast for today.ReplyDelete
Have a fun day, Vee, with your sis!ReplyDelete
I enjoy hearing all about your little corner of the world...
I'm never bored.
I am going to fall kicking and screaming, as it has truly been the nicest summer of my life - we've had some awesome weather! It's so rare I just don't want to let it go yet!ReplyDelete
It's gotten back to super hot and humid again so I am not outside as much. I have spent a LOT of time in my little veranda area this summer...........a favorite space to be sure.
Hope you had a nice time adventuring with your sister! : - )
After yesterday I'm really looking forward to a chill of some sort! Looking forward to what your sister and you decide to do. Have fun!ReplyDelete
I love that Autumn is coming to you. Can you send it our way too? Have a wonderful week. Blessings, MarthaReplyDelete
Vee, Some times it is hard to think of an interesting blog post. I like the Autumn touches. I love Autumn, but I am greedy and want to soak up every bit of summer that I can. Blessings to you and your sister to have a fun day. xoxo,SusieReplyDelete
Sometimes it's just fun to do nothing and blog about it...lol! I have also noticed a few leaves, some even a bright red, that have fallen off the trees. It is hot and muggy here this week but we have definitely had our share of cool days, which are almost unheard of here in the southeast in August! But I don't care what the weather is for the next few days...I'm heading to the beach tomorrow for a few days!!! Finally! You can be sure to see a post or two coming about it :)ReplyDelete
I love to read about nothing going on, and am amazed that you continually bless your readers with your beautiful photos, and stories, and snippets of what nots. Keep them coming Vee. ~ AbbyReplyDelete
I laughed, because I too have a whole lot of nothin' going on and have been writing this blog since winter of 2010. Y'all've seen everything I have and heard about everything I've done. I'll have to start making stuff up. LOLReplyDelete
Pleeeeease don't tell me that fall is in the air. I need another month of summer, at least. I just picked 14# of green beans from the garden this morning and will can them tonight. Maybe I can make a blog post out of that. LOL
Nope..never bored with your posts or anyone elses. Have fun! It was nice here, now it is steamy here. BlessingsReplyDelete
Bored? Never. But I know how you feel. I feel the same way about my blog. : )ReplyDelete
Hope you had a fun adventure with your sister.
I LOVE visiting here. Although we've never met in person, I feel that I'm visiting with a friend of many years. We have laughed with you and been sad with you. Your posts are always interesting. . .no matter the subject. ~ The noon weather prediction is for a high of 68 degrees Monday. Woo Hoo! This has been a mild summer with very few days in the 90's.ReplyDelete
Visiting here is always a delight. You have a way of making the most mundane activities interesting. Life is full of the ordinary so let's celebrate that! Hope you're having a fun day!ReplyDelete
I can't wait to hear what adventure you gals settled on. I know that you can make it interesting even if it is something boring or ordinary. That's one of the many things I like about you :).ReplyDelete
you're doing better than I. Can't seem to get back to blogging regular but I always love reading your posts. I bought myself a Cricut Cuddlebug which only makes embossed paper but such fun to have for card making. Soon as I have some that look good I will show it.ReplyDelete
Never boring - always delightful Vee! Hope you had fun today too.ReplyDelete
I also picked up a leaf this week changing color…just the beginning of many to come, and the hope of cooler weather.ReplyDelete
yes, we were talking tonight that fall is in the morning air around here, too. The pool is not being used nearly as much as thru June and July, the flowers are a bit sad looking and mornings and evenings quite a bit cooler. Sill having high 90's during the day, most days. But a change is on the way...ReplyDelete
We could never be bored here, so put that out of your mind. Okay? :) Hope you had a fun, adventurous day. Mine wasn't, but I can live vicariously through my blog friends adventures.ReplyDelete
Yes, yes ... autumn is around the corner. I found it, too!ReplyDelete
Autumn is definitely in the air!ReplyDelete
