Hodge Podge~Keeping it Low-Key

1. What would you say is the key to success?
If I knew, I might be successful. ☺

2. Have you ever been to the Florida Keys? Any desire to visit that part of the US of A?
No. I have heard good things about the Florida Keys and would visit IF I didn't have to travel to get there.

3. When and where did you last see a real live donkey? Monkey? Turkey?

donkey? can not remember
monkey? ditto
turkey? last week

4. An old Portuguese proverb says, 'Beware of the door with too many keys.' What do you think this means? Share an example of how this has proven true or false in your own life.
Too many options can be frazzling. Parents soon learn to keep the options limited. I think it holds true for all of life across the board. Don't dazzle me; don't frazzle me with too many choices.

5. Besides your home, vehicle, and special jewelry, what is something you keep under lock and key?

After a horrific home invasion just reported yesterday and in a neighboring town, I refuse to answer this question. Truth is, there's nothing of great value here to be kept under lock and key. When I used to drop my car off for repair and had to leave the key under the mat, I'd leave it attached with a note that read: This and $5 is enough to get you off the lot.

6. When did you last get keyed up about something?
I get keyed up pretty quickly...just now, for example, when the door would not latch.

7. Who thinks we need an easy one right about now?  Key lime pie...yes please or no thank you?
Yes. Please.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Running late. I have no time for a random thought.
Please join Joyce at This Side of the Pond for more Hodge Podge offerings.

  1. Good morning! Had to chuckle at your answer to number 1, lol. Popped into my head I am not going to lie. I agree with your answer to number 4 too. Nothing worse then too many options (at least for me!). And I'd would have had a pretty similar answer to #6 as well. Get TOO key up TOO many places, lol. Enjoy your day Vee!

  2. I always love reading your Hodgepodge(s). I couldn't tackle it today. Enjoy your very busy day and get back to the house fast (if that door didn't latch.)

  3. Good morning Vee. I'm having to work on not being keyed up today. Be anxious for nothing keeps running through my brain so I need to keep going with that and the rest of that thought... but in everything with prayer and thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Have a good day!

  5. I always enjoy your answers. How horrible about the home invasion in the neighoring town. We were burgerlized (sp?) once when we lived in FL over 25 yrs ago, which prompted a safe place for such papers, jewerly. I answered it, but I didn't say whereeeeeeeee. I think it is pretty safe thing to state that most ppl (if their smart that is) has a safe place. Blessings

  9. Thoroughly enjoyed this, Vee :) There are two donkeys and a mule next door (and I don't mean the neighbors) so if you want to see a donkey, come on over :) My son loves giving them carrots.

    Enjoy your day! Hugs

  10. #4 is me in the grocery or drug store these days. It's nice having options, but golly, there's WAY too many to chose from now.
Enjoyed the answers. Hope you and your home stays safe. ~:)

  15. Count me in as another one who agrees with the first one. I do know the keys to the Kingdom. To earthly success? I'm not sure I have a clue. I guess it would be redefining what success?

And nay oh nay oh nay on the Florida Keys. There area just two ways to get there, and I don't want to do either one. Plus, I'm hot enough here thankyouverymuch.

Loved the note with your keys.

  18. Your answers brought giggles - Vee you HAVE to travel - how about the Florida Keys after Italy and France??? I've actually not been down as far as the Keys, Florida doesn't call to me often as what I've seen there was enough to know I could not live there - the heat, the tropical environment, the lack of four true seasons etc.

Hang in there and check the latch dear.

  19. I once heard a very wealthy man who said that success is a decision. He was right! And oh, how I wish that you can just use a transponder to travel everywhere we wanted to go. The inconvenience of travel is so worth it though, in the end.

  21. Hmm, guess I went straight to gardening this morning and didn't read any blogs. I too enjoy reading your offerings for Hodge Podge and get a kick out of the humour for some of your answers.

  23. Interesting answers to your Hodge Podge questions today. I so agree with #4. It seems there are far too many choices for everything now. Grocery and drug stores make my head spin sometimes.
