Eyebrows

Some of you may remember the little photo that used to be in my profile. It took me forever to figure out how to get it added. Did anyone wonder where it went? (Yes, it's a terribly slow day for blogging material. ;>)

It's like this, one morning recently I signed in to my blog and took a good look at that photo and said to myself: Yikes! What is going on with those eyebrows? Honestly, I don't know how it happened, but I swear that elves or something had been plucking them while I was asleep. Surely I could not be responsible for the condition of those brows. I know you won't believe me without proof so here it is...
See what I mean? Shocking I tell you! What? You don't see it?

Okay, eyebrows should look like this:

The look is achieved following these guidelines:

So now, here I am, a woman in her &^%$#, trying to grow some eyebrows. Maybe I'll just have to resort to this:

If they ever grow, perhaps I'll dare to add another photo. Until then...

  1. Eyebrows!Something I have virtually lost with age having always had quite prominent ones.
For Oliver in his hat and scarf and the sweater I knitted a while ago ( he would not have his mittens on indoors) go to my daughter's blog on www.fromunderthemaple.blogspot.com
I did not take a photo.

  2. Okay.... big deal. I have such pale eyebrows you can't see them... I don't have to pluck or shape or even pretend they are there. Sometimes I look at the glam models and think I, too, would love some lovely brows.... so, I try to put on a bit of eyebrow pencil....but then, I feel like a clown.

My sister has picked hers (as well as some areas on her head) ... since childhood. A nervous habit. Not plucked...I mean "picked at"..picked out... they are stubs...of pale non-see-able sparse hairs. If she left them alone...you would still not see them. All I can say is ... for some of us...being pale almost to the point of albino is maybe a good thing.
Just grow your bangs Vee...nobody will notice eyebrows or anything amiss.... lol....

  5. You are soooooooooooooo funny! I never noticed your eye brows. But NOW ~ I'm dying to see them again.

And that ding-dang teensy pic you put up of just them ~ well, even clicking on it, doesn't enlarge it. Which you know, don't you?!? And don't you know, that is cheating in blog land?!?

All photos should be made larger, by clicking on them. Heavens! You never read that RULE!!!???!!! You go back and read The Rules, Girlie. Right now!!!!

    -giggles-

Repeat, you are soooo funny. ,-)

    Hugs,

    {Who has no "outer" eyebrows. But does that stop me from putting 'my mugg' on my blog? Nope!!! LOL}

  6. You are too funny! I've never given eyebrows much thought. You can't see mine anyway because my bangs cover them. :-)

  8. Yes, Robin! That's exactly what that before and after pic shows. I think it looks great and I'd be willing to consider it if I weren't worried about ink poisoning to the brain. I definitely don't need that! :)

  9. Well...I've colored my hair about 200 times and if I don't have brain damage yet then you are prolly in the clear for a tattoo.....LOL

  10. Your brows look better than mine. I plucked most of them out in high school. My sister-in-law had eyeliner tattooed on her lids. Looks great. She was given some pain pills after, and there was a little swelling for a few days. Brows should be less painful.
