A Little Apron Picture Story...
What a day brightener a new apron can be! For clearer pictures of my beautiful oo-la-la apron, see here on January 18. Thank you, Zanne! It is even more lovely than I imagined. And, as you can see, it fits! Now what will I do? I really think it looks so at home with the others; although, they must all be jealous. ;>
Some time ago now, sweet Robin presented me with this award: (If you're like me and not quite certain what bodacious means, click here.) Yes, I thought bodacious meant Rubenesque and, as you can see, I qualify! (BTW, Bodacious does not equal Rubenesque.) Thanks, Robin, and even more so now that I know you're not calling me names!! ;>
Now I'm passing this award on to three beautiful bloggers who truly are audacious:
Kari@Just Livin' Large
CC@Six Months of Settled
Zanne of At Home With the Farmer's Wife

Why, thank you, Vee! I thought the same as you about bodacious but my thought wasn't as refined as your "Rubenesque" ;) I love your new apron. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Vee! And if anyone else deserves this, it's Kari...my outspoken young Niece has really outdone herself this time, lol! I love your aprons and the new one is a beauty...I'll bet the others ARE jealous!
ReplyDeletehugs

Thank you so much Vee! I'm glad to be bodacious, curvaceous...whatever. I see the apron is doing well there with that cute lobster apron.
ReplyDeletelooks like it could mean pretty much anything you decide it could. Words. hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteanyway... cute apron.. lucky you. some day I am going to make an apron...yep...I am. It will be the biggest thing I make. Any other "sewing" I do on a machine is on teeensy doll bits right now. And I have no clue on patterns...so ... we will see what happens if I do give it a try some day down the road.
Oh, and.....although you ARE my daily dose...I didn't bother sending the award along personally as I knew you already had it a few weeks back. Still...if you have a few others u would like to send it on to... please feel free to come take the pic from my blog ...
Aprons...how fun! What I wouldn't give for all the aprons I used to own...they went to 'goodwill' along with all my outdated clothing at some point. What was I thinking? I had an apron that was my first sewing project...aprons from my mom and mom-in-law...aprons that were worn by the servers at my sister-in-laws wedding...and a few of grandma's aprons. What was I thinking? Maybe I'll just get one of those vintage apron patterns and sew up a few for old times sake. And you enjoy yours!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous!! Nothing beats a good apron...and you know I love how you have them displayed...
ReplyDeleteYou've got bodacious style...believe you me!!

Hi Vee!
ReplyDeleteYes, we are getting rained on too! One girl is sleeping and the other is engrossed in Cinderella (the movie). So I have a few quiet moments.. doesn't happen too often! What a pretty apron! I just love aprons.. they recall such a wonderful era! (or all other eras..) :) Hope youa re staying warm and dry!
♥ Abbie
Oooh, love those aprons! I just might have to get a photo of all of mine :)
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, VEE! You are way too kind to think of me for this. Especially since I've been such a lousy blogger the past couple of months! I don't know what's going on with me, but I think I need a change of scenery or something to recharge my batteries. I feel like I'm looking at the same old scenery every single day and it's starting to wear on me.
ReplyDeleteBut anyway, thank you so much for this award and I apologize for taking this long to acknowledge it. You're the greatest...
