Thank you all for praying yesterday. My mother was in surgery for over eight hours and was in the recovery room for over three. I hope that, as we come to mind, you'll continue to pray; we're going to need lots of prayers.
About the "incommunicado." I've been thinking about stress a lot. Many of the stressing things are beyond my ability to change; however, I can and am changing my internet service provider and my telephone service. It is being cancelled today. My new provider will be up and at'em by June 3rd or 4th so I will catch you all on the flip side. There's one post in the can, but that's all until later.
Take care, Dear Ones...

Vee,
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear that your mother came through her surgery well. No need to worry about posting, you have much more to do in caring for your mother and grandmother. I am holding you close in my prayers. May the blessings of peace that surpass all understanding guard you heart, mind, body, and emotion as you care for your loved ones. May you be cloaked with strength for service. May you find times to rest and refresh and refill.
You know my thoughts continue to be with you.
ReplyDeleteGoooood! That you decided to deal with one stress, which you can! And perhaps the little Net holiday will be a very nice thing too. If you're off the grid, you can't feel you "should" be blogging. ,-)
And... You know what's coming, don't you? ......... I already do snail mail to you. So I'm not "flummexed." :-)))
Gentle hugs,
'Aunt Amelia'
Continuing to pray for your Mother, grandmother and you, dear Vee.
ReplyDelete"The Lord bless you and keep you;The Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you;The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."

Hi Vee,
ReplyDeleteSo glad that everything went well. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.
Dear Vee,
ReplyDeleteThe Lord directed me here this morning and yes, I will pray for you and your mother. As you spoke of "abiding" I thought of these verses in Psalm 91: "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.'"
Much love and prayers, Gwen
Hi Vee...when I am stressed out, I just tell God that he has much larger shoulders than I do and ask him to carry my burden. I tell you what, he must have some huge shoulders!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for continued recovery for your mother. Take time for yourself, too.
Abide....I like that word, too.
My favorite word is Faith.
love ya,
Becky
Take care of yourself.

Vee, Glad to hear that your mom came through her surgery. You take the time needed and put your energy into taking care of her and your family. We'll be "abiding" in prayers and well wishes for you and yours. May the Lord shine his face upon your family for healing, strength, perseverance, comfort, and most of all - Love. Blessings...
ReplyDeleteVee, I hope your mother is recovering well. She had a very long surgery! I know that this probably has taken alot out of you and that stress is probably a companion right now, even if you don't wish it so. Someday, when you are back online, I will share my mother's story with you. It is encouraging and similar --- if it would bless you (and I think it will) I would be happy to share.

ReplyDeleteI have missed you Vee, while I have been away with my daughter, so I didn't know about your Mum, or that Gran was in hospital. I do hope they are both making excellent progress, and I am SO thankful that you have John there beside you. I am back now and will be around! (PS the followers thing is doing weird things to my blog and i can't get hold of anyone at blogger to sort it. Sigh.
