A Haven for Vee

Thank you Aunt Amelia!

Look what John brought in when he came home for lunch. Yes, he's having chips, egg salad sandwiches, bread and butter pickles, and coffee. Did you know that egg salad sandwiches are in my top five favorite sandwiches of all time? Did you know that sandwiches are in my top five favorite foods of all time? I could eat a sandwich every single day and never tire of it. Oops, pardon moi, this is not a meme.

It's my book from Aunt Amelia!

I'm very excited that I won't have to use my glasses to read this one! And look! It's come full circle sorta.

I've already visited Thorndike Press to see if they have any other books I'm interested in. They don't. But if you ever need a source for large print books, this is a great place to look.

Perhaps one day I'll find something besides Elizabeth's books to think about. Until then, it's over and out for now...

  1. Lucky you, Vee! What a nice surprise! Now John won't have to hold the book across the room for you to see it! haha! I have to do the same thing or find one of my 9 pairs of readers in the house - it's amazing, I've got them stashed all over the house, and when I need them, I can't find them! Happy reading!

  2. I'm taking a little break from my featherin' to see what you're up to. First time I've had my speakers on when I visited and I must say your music is lovely and so relaxing ~ I may never leave. LOL.
How nice of Aunt Amelia to send you the book. Now you can continue to relax and read. I may need to keep that publisher in mind as I fear I'm marching towards the large print books. Ugh.
One of the first things I noticed was that egg salad sandwich. Love them with chips and pickles too. I'm fighting a cholesterol issue right now so I'm staying away from them, but it sure does look tempting.
Ah well, back to work. Enjoy your day.

    Enjoy the book.

I love sandwiches too. Chips are always good...

Here's hoping it warms up soon. We had such a teaser there for a week or so.

  5. Wow, that was quick! :-)

Btw, I never did tell you the story of how come I had this book lying around, did I? ,-)

Reading escapism rocks! My choice is more *wild* than yours, but it's all the same, in the end. ,-)

  8. I too love and grew up with "egg salad" sandwiches, lol. Maybe it's a New England thing, eh?

Three episodes left girlie, but I'm not sure if that includes the 2 1/2 - 3 hour finale I just heard about on the May 23rd (a Sunday night). "Kate" was on the View this morning and she said it's actually a 3 hour finale, I believe the first hour is one with captions.

Anyway...you can count on me sitting in front of the tube tonight searching for more answers. Oh another thinkg "Kate" said, was that we will NOT be dissapointed with the ending. Yea, that it will leave no question unanswered! Thank Goodness, we shall see!

    Happy watching tonight Vee...

  12. Vee, I haven't checked in since you said you needed some rest - a break. How happy I am to find that your break didn't last long. Later this morning I'm going to sit here with a cup of tea and catch up. Your posts are always so beautiful. You are an inspiration!
