Honestly, if I don't finish up in the sewing room by noon today, I'm going to scream. You'll hear me. Yes, wherever you are.
I did cheat yesterday. Once I found the grosgrain ribbon, I had to make my niece her birthday gift. I'm only about a month late.
Recently Diane Knott did a series of posts about bracelet making. I copied her basic premise without using seashells (I didn't have any.)
Instead of seashells, I used old bits of broken jewelry. Everything, including the clasp to close the bracelet, is vintage with the exception of the grosgrain ribbon. Hope that my niece will like it. She's a titch quirky like her aunt. ;>
Have a great day!
The bracelet is so lovely. Quirky?? Hey, great minds think alike and describe themself alike, correct? I composed my post about 9 p.m. last night so it was you who sent out those "quirky" vibes.....I picked them up. HA.
ReplyDeleteThat bracelet is beautiful and so unique! I am sure she will love it.
ReplyDeleteYou are very creative! Looks like a winner to me!
ReplyDeleteI think it's pretty! I'm sure she'll love it!
ReplyDeleteManuela
A great diversion in the sewing room yesterday...and niece will be thrilled!
ReplyDeleteLove it. .and distractions are totally acceptable in the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, Vee! I think it will be a hit.
ReplyDeleteYour niece will love it, Vee, especially since you made it yourself! And the young ones nowadays seem to like the eclectic and out of the ordinary gifts and clothing. Not 'quirky' but COOL!
ReplyDeleteI love cuff bracelets!! And this is darling..stay in there and have FUN!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Love the lace! Happy organizing the sewing room! I'm organizing too - but not quite as much "fun". It's my desk and office today :)
ReplyDeleteIt is now after 1:00 and since I have heard no screams, I assume all is well in the sewing room.
ReplyDeleteThe bracelet is beautiful and I feel sure your niece is going to love it.
Isn't it great to use what you have? I think it's lovely and sure to be appreciated. Quirkiness is something to be treasured!
ReplyDeleteHow precious! I love it and have wanted to try to make one, too! Looks like you had fun! And is that a new banner? I like it! ♥

of jewelry has a story behind it, too.
