Welcome to Mosaic Monday...nah, I'm just taking the lazy gal's way out by dropping in a lot of photos (yes, some are duplicates) like this. We had planned to make a trek to the ocean with Nan who loves it so, but she was never able to remember our plans. It was touch and go for a bit this morning, though she eventually decided to grab her opportunity. Yay for my mother, sister and I who were delighted to enjoy the much cooler temps of the oceanside. Nan didn't seem to mind a bit as she wore a hat and covered up with a blanket. (The temps have been hovering right around 100° F.)
This could be nearly any ocean spot along New England's coastline. I'll leave you to wonder...
I have a couple more busy days in my schedule, but Saturday's looking good for stopping by your place so slap the iced tea together because I'll be there to see what you're doing!
A great Thursday to you!
I'll set out the nicest glasses for that visit....
ReplyDeleteThese photos are absolutely gorgeous!!!! While I have never been in a sailboat, and don't care to get in one, I find them to be so very graceful and pretty.

Peach tea or sweet tea?
ReplyDeleteThe view of the coast is breathtaking! There is nothing more beautiful than a peaceful day on the shore. It must have been a wonderful trip!
Hope you guys are keeping cool!
I want to just will myself through those photos onto that cool ocean shore. It'll be over 100 degrees here until maybe the last of September...hopefully. I've seen 99 degrees on Christmas Day here. Booooooo!
ReplyDeleteWe are having a heat wave here too and you ocean pictures helped me feel a coolness.
ReplyDeleteI am making ice tea for your visit...
Hugs,
Penny
Vee,
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled that you got have a little outing seaside! You know I am vicariously living through this post as my ocean vacation was not to be this year. Thank you for the breath taking photos. May your day be filled with sweetness!
That's beautiful, Vee - just what the Dr. ordered - a day at the ocean!
ReplyDeleteI feel for ya, girl, with those Texas temps y'all are having! I'll bet those ocean breezes DID feel good.
How 'bout some peach cobbler to go with that sweet iced tea?
I think I would rather put the iced tea in a thermos and go to the ocean with YOU! Just beautiful! Let's go! ♥

ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!
ReplyDeleteWe have only been to the New England coast once several years ago. It was in the fall and we stayed in B & B's along the way. To this day it stands out as one of my favorite trips. That's such a beautiful part of the country.
I must say that if I live to be 100 I would be so happy to have family members who love me enough to take me on outings like this.
Ah...the New England coast is calling! Maybe I'll settle for our coast over here...one hour away. We are having a heat wave as well...around 100 degrees today.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are absolutely beautiful, Vee! Such bright blues! I love the way you made your mosaics..very classy.
ReplyDeleteOne of your photos is reminiscent of "The Old Man of the Mountain" that once was New Hampshire's symbol. I was so happy to have seen that before it fell down. I remember reading Hawthorne's story about it called "The Great Stone Face" as a child and it was exciting to see it in person.
Stay cool!
I love the ocean so --I miss going to Florida so much. Hopefully I can take my grandkiddies there some summer soon! Maybe next year!!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so lovely! I've never been to your neck of the woods, but it's definitely on my bucket list!!! So glad your grandmother was able to go! How bout some strawberry shortcake with that iced tea--sweet tea of course with a lemon wedge and a sprig of mint from my garden! Vickie's peach cobbler sure sounds good!
Your photos are so beautiful Vee! I am drawn to the water. I find it so calming and peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh, they are lovely! Makes me wish I could be nearer to the sea..
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the edges of the photos at the end..really cool! So glad Nan had a good day..
Me'thinks you two are Celebrating a Wedding Anniversary, around this time of year.........
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
Whatever the exact date may be.
Gentle hugs...
