Specifically, B*ailey Island Day
The quilted version
Although it lasted a few short hours, it was wonderful to get away. Beautiful sea. Beautiful sky.
The inscription under the lobsterman statue is this:
Thank you for looking at my mosaics!

Oh Vee, that Mosaic is fantastic. I love what you did. Yes, I went to the Cape on Thursday and it was a perfect day. The evening was 73 degrees and the sky was amazing. Friday we had yucky weather, so I was glad that I got away when I did.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mosaic Monday.
Karen
Vee, thank you for posting that song. Thursday when I went to the Cape I was so weary. The Cape and the Lord is my oxygen when self comes creeping in to make me sad.
ReplyDeleteI prayed at the beach for Grace. On Friday I got a call from my friend Susan who lives in London. We were close friends when we lived in Hong Kong and she knows me better than anyone. She said that she was nearby and visiting her sister and could we meet. She was the Grace I had prayed for. I spent a day of bliss on Saturday. He is so faithful.
I love you Vee, and someday we will sit across a table having tea and I will share how much you lift me up.
Karen
Looks like a wonderful place for a get-a-way! Just beautiful! Thanks for taking us along.
ReplyDeleteVee,
ReplyDeleteI love the quilted mosaic. What a beautiful place to visit. Glad you got the chance.

ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful day to be out on the water.
ReplyDeleteOh I just love your mosaic. Of course, I particularly love it as you were in a place that looked so very similar to mine. Thanks for coming by Vee....love when I hear from you!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the mosaic. DId you do it on Photoshop? I am going to have to get that program.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the scenery. That cool blue was refreshing today!
Beautiful island! I'm not sure where it is but I am thinking it's quite a ways up the Maine coast. Isn't summer glorious this year?
ReplyDeleteThe Maine coastline is like no other, Vee! It's so beautiful! WE have nothing but haze around our coast these days from all the humidity.
ReplyDeleteYour mosaics are wonderful! Happy MM!
Great mosaics ... particularly loved the quilted version! Your images were fantastic ... lots of beautiful views.
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, lovely mosaic. I am hosting a CSN Giveaway and would love for you to stop by.
ReplyDeleteVee, your mosaic is beautiful and creative. The scenery is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh Vee, what a lovely mosaic. I really am hoping for a trip to New England this fall. My husband and I never had a honeymoon after we got married this past February, and I'm hoping we can make the trip in October.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Thank you so much for sharing.
Happy Monday to you,
Susan
So beautiful Vee. There is nothing like time spent on the water to wash peace over me.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the pictures of the water. I would love to live near a coast line. I will have to try to find out how to do that quilted mosaic. That is quite interesting. Great job.

Hi Vee! Your header is exquisite today and so is your mosaic. I'm always excited to see what all you ladies do with your mosaics each week.

Your mosaic is beautiful. All that blue is just beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI took the time to listen to yesterday's video and I'm so glad I did!! :-)
What gorgeous views. Beautiful blue sea and sky! I enjoyed seeing your quilted version of the mosaic too.
ReplyDelete'Morning, Vee - just got back to my computer this morning and I see a beautiful little getaway on the sea! Love those harbor scenes with the boats~~~~~
ReplyDeleteI also just read about John's little mishap. I'm glad he's all stapled up and not hurting much. Tony seems to be that way, too. Maybe you need to staple his ar*se to the ground and keep him out of the trees and off the ladder! (fat chance - I know!)
Vee,
ReplyDeleteI might just have to leave my computer stuck on your page all day so I can view the gorgeousness of your grand photos of the ocean! I love each and every scene! Thank you for a little fresh breeze in my day.
What a really beautiful mosaic. I love the blue too.
ReplyDeleteI'm always impressed by your mosaic skills, but this one is particularly lovely. I almost feel like I've been to Maine. Great job.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes... Beautiful sea and Beautiful sky! Such lovely mosaics! Just a joy stopping by to visit with you!
ReplyDeleteKindly, ldh
