Yes, I certainly have. I know that I've been absent here...terribly busy days...but just so you'll know, I do get around. See What Matters Most, Hospitality Lane, and Creekside Cottage for proof. Each blogger has a little different take. Personally, I think Becky and Deanna are loony and Lovella's right behind. (Poor Anneliese) = D All good fun and the most wonderful thing of all is that Mennonite Girls Can Cook cookbooks sold out at the Berean. It's a good thing and a God thing!
Love you gals! Thanks a million...
I am so glad that you encouraged us to go and meet these wonderful ladies. We had a lot of fun with it but what they are doing is serious and very Christlike. Giving up the royalties so that children in Russia can eat...WOW! What warm and delightful ladies. Spread the word....sell those cookbooks!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for being such a wonderful sport, Vee.
I totally can't wait to meet you, for real, one of these days.
By the way, can I just say that this is one very beautiful and practical cookbook! We were checking it out and decided that the recipes were ones that we would make. You can't say that about every cookbook. So often you wouldn't have the ingredients or the recipes are just so over the top. Not so with this book. They look delightful!!
ReplyDeleteIt did give me a giggle seeing your photo on Lovella's blog...but that's what it's all about right?
ReplyDeleteFun, friendship, and alot of cookbooks sold to help a very worth charity!!! Good job in all of this Vee.
blessings,
Niki
You have been getting around! What fun....I bet you wish you could have really been there.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny

ReplyDeleteAnd very cute and creative friends too! Look at the super way they *blew up* your Icon photo! :-)
Wheeewwwww... You must be tired from your "trip." Get some rest, Girl. :-)
If not in person, you were there! I love the way they included you and had such a good time...and, as you learned, you did, too!!
ReplyDeleteNow we know how our Mennonite Girls Can Cook cookbook got its name. That makes my cookbook even more special!
Busy here too..whenever you post, it sure puts a smile on my face. Blessings
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute idea your blog friends had, Vee! I'm so glad the MGCC book sale and signing has gone so well for the ladies and now they will have a few days of fun in NYC with their husbands!

What a neat trip you took, Vee! That was just the cutest post from Becky. Looks like you got to enjoy some great company and meet some new friends in person! And Subway and DQ ice cream too! I'm gonna have to get my hands on one of those cookbooks. The recipes just sound wonderful. I've been meaning to do that for a long time, and now I've been reminded again!
ReplyDeleteWow, you do get around! Such fun!
ReplyDeleteHow fun for the girls to find you there with them:) You go girl! You are the face behind the name of the book. It was just so catchy!
ReplyDeletewow, you did make the rounds. Are you tuckered out? Need a cup of tea from one of your pretty cups, spiced with a tiny bit of wine, a cinnamon roll with melted butter on top.??
ReplyDeleteME, TOO...
:) You have been getting around! I'm going to have to look for that cookbook. I'm not much of a cookbook user but this one sounds good.
