A Haven for Vee

Monday, December 26, 2011

Day Two of Christmas—we enjoy celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas at the haven—and we're still going strong. The grands will be by soon for an afternoon of sledding and then we'll enjoy leftovers for supper. We'll have a quiet evening as three of our group must return either to work or to school on Day Three. Bummer!

  1. My daughter put together a calendar for one of our gifts with S*hutterfly... using your spelling. :)

It has only pictures from our Williamsburg vacation, mostly of the grandchildren but a few scenic pics.

    It was my favorite gift!

  4. Children make Christmas extra special. I love the excitement they provide and I can see they're adding that extra magical feeling of Christmas at your home, too.

Love those antlers on your daughter, but her smile is the best!

  13. Btw, I think doing "The 12 Days Of Christmas" is so wise, when children are involved. It takes the sting out of *Pout, It's ALLLL over* feelings. :-) And it really stretches the lovely Holiday Time out.

And it's lovely for adults toooooo! I'm not saying it's just for children!!! Sometimes I *DO* them, and sometimes I *DON'T.* :-)

  16. Third day and I'll be back to work too. That traditional school year two weeks off sure seem appropriate for the rest of one's life...funny how adult life rarely lets that happen.

  17. Having fun....that's wonderful.

Loved seeing some of your family...and more of your rooms. Do you have natural wood on all your walls?...is this like a log house?
    'splain it to me....:))

  19. Oh, Vee! I love that you keep the celebrating going!

Today we puttered - well, Tim worked on our heating system and I reorganized our bedroom! It had become the place of presents and wrapping and mess! I couldn't stand it anymore! A bit more to go but already it feels better to me - peaceful! Ahhh...

Your photos look warm and cozy and lovely to me!

Your home always looks so warm and cozy. I just love it. And your daughter is a great sport! She looks cute with her antlers! Your little grandsons are getting big - the oldest's hair is getting darker, too, I noticed. I know you all had fun!

  22. It looks like you had a warm and cozy Christmas celebration at the Haven with those who are near and dear. We had little ones sitting on couches and playing on i-phones over here as well.

It all looks so neat and organized over there though. Don't we get to see any photos...'after the storm rolled through'? Smile.
