Little Pleasures

It's the little things...good conversation, a cup of tea, a mug of coffee, a new recipe, reading a fun blog, finding a package in the door...

...and in the package an unexpected extra

that smells heavenly and packaging so pretty with that melon card paper and the moss-colored ribbon.

And what was in the package?

The sweet little mauve pillow front and center. Thanks, Robin! Check out her shop right here for a little yard sale/flea market fun from home.

And where was I going when I found the package in the door?

And it was worth every calorie...every. last. one.

Speaking of calories...

these little treats were a lot of fun to make, more fun to eat, and looked darling. I have one word for you, though, remember to purchase jelly beans for the eggs not malted milk eggs. :D

Found this fun idea right here on Judy's Front Porch. Even though I hoped to have pics of two cuties enjoying them the way Judy did, my cuties were napping when I arrived with the goods.

A blessed Wednesday to everyone!

  2. Vee, I don't think I've told you, how beeeeeeeeeeeeeeutiful your blog header is! That photo rivals those arranged by fancy decorators in fancy decorating books/magazines. It does!!!!!

Only one quibble, and that is how your blog name {does not} show up well. Pale yellow is your fav. But if you want your blog name to be quickly noticed, maybe you could experiment with different greens, for the blog name print?

Or not. Your blog is your blog! :-)

  3. Yes, I agree with you, M-N. It's been a source of aggravation because there aren't enough colors available. I've tried playing in Photoshop, but I'm so new to that program. I figured that I'm going to change it soon anyway so it wouldn't matter too much. Sorry that it's become an annoyance for you, too, and thank you for your constructive criticism. I mean that!

Right, Abbie, you see that I didn't even mention it! ;D

  6. Nice pillow...what a fun thing to find at the door!

Your little chickies look pretty high & mighty sitting on their malted eggs. Cute! My grandkids are coming over to make their little peep' nests.

  7. "High and Mighty" is a good way to describe it. I'm not calling those peeps the mama hens, I'm calling them the recently hatched. :)

  8. Good morning! I love the sweet treats, I must make some for my little cutie too! I am a bit late getting around to visiting this morning as I went to be at around 4:00 a.m.! I slipped into my studio after dinner and the creative muse struck and I wiled away the twilight crafting! Hubby poked his head in the door and said, "Did you know that it is 3:30?" I came out of my crafting craze, a bit dazed, and sheepishly admitted that I had intentionally turned the clock around so I could play without guilt. Anyway, I finished up the give away stuff and made some other stuff and it looks like a tornado hit the place! I am considering photographing the mess and posting it to e able to ditch my reputation as a neat freak! Pop over this afternoon for a sneak peek at the goodies!
