The Garden

This past Monday, after three days of rain with Hurricane Kyle taking his time to blow past, we needed to run a few errands and so decided to have a McDonald's picnic at the garden.

My friend tells the story of how years ago the "Dean of Maine Gardeners" was a member of the church she and her husband attended. One day, he kindly asked if they wouldn't like to come see his garden. Sadly, they declined not realizing what they were missing. Little did they know that a few years later they would be working hard to establish the garden as a community gem.

Enjoy the photographs and thank you for looking. I'm off on an adventure today and will share it with you soon. Have a fantastic Thursday! ETA: Alas, no adventure today after all. The weather is simply not cooperating. Still hope that you have a fantastic Thursday!

  5. You are becoming a poet, with your camera, my Dear. Said truly. And with plenty of *jealousy*. :-))))

NO, not with *jealousy*!!!!! But truly, truly, truly said. One can watch you evolve!

Look at that second photo... a vista of green, stretching out in the distance. And that moss on an old fallen tree. Lovely. Photos which stop you, and draw you in...

Hearty congratulations! From a fellow trying-to-be photographer.

Methinks _I_ need to get out more. Go back to honing my own skills. :-) Do a little more 'work' on entries in my different photo blogs, again. :-)

    Thank you for the push!

    Gentle hugs,
    Miss Mari-Nanci

  11. Everything looks so green and bright there. Here, all is turning brown. Not because it's fall weather, but more because everything is FRIED from the heat. lol

Mid to high 80's today...can't wait for it to cool off. I bought some jackets that are just down right cute and I'm ready to wear them. LOL

  12. Now that red barn is the best thing I've seen today. It's so fun. I want one too. It makes me think that I will paint my new shed red. Love it.
